Just a fully stocked remasters like PS3 HD trilogy, but updated would be enough. Especially for PC with it's f'd, cut and downgraded versions of all three games.
Careful what you ask for, you may get a remake with a Lara which has big masculine jaw and a flat chest…

They already did, the classic tomb raider remastered trilogy came out in February and has miles more effort put into it than this overpriced PS2 port.

Tomb Raider Legend has no shadow's for the PS4/PS5 version. But are present in the Original PS2 release. Its not an emulation issue, since they work fine on PCSX2 as well.
It is an emulation issue since it isn't appearing on PS4 and PS5. The game code includes the shadow geometry, and it isn't rendered properly in the PS Classics emulation on PS4/PS5 yet. This might be improved over time with the developer handling these backward compatible ports is Implicit Conversions, and they do update a lot of these titles over time.
Something they will likely patch.
4:11 On the lampy you can see a ghosting effect which is a result of the increased resolution, Legends bloom effects don't scale properly with higher than native rendering resolution even on PC emulators like PCSX2.
Yes, the PS3 version eliminated the option to deactivate Next Generation content, but because it is based on the x360 version, both have it and cannot be deactivated, and in all but these versions, it is still in the game in the selection menu when you choose a suit, the winter one without a jacket shows you its version without Next gen model.
Still no: Tekken 3, Need for speed most wanted,need for speed carbon, defjam fight for ny,midnight club dub edition,all tony hawk pro skaters
Don't expect any older Need For speed games to make a return. Car Licenses will remain an issue. As well as all the soundtracks that are being used.
Don't forget Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Silent Hill, etc.

Def Jam and Tony Hawk also given all the music and athlete licenses (the Tony Hawk 1+2 remaster is your best on that and couldn’t get all the old music). Tekken 3 is possible given T2 is already on the PS5.

idk why df is so negative on this, it's a pretty solid enhancement, and ps2 is not easy to emulate regardless of platform, pcsx2 has been trying this for 20+ years now and even it doesn't have tomb raider legend perfect either

The only classic games that require steaming is PS3. PS1, PS2 and PSP can all be downloaded.
Sony needs to just put the chips that allowed the original PS3 aka PlayStation 3 to emulate PS1 and PS2 games into the PS5. That way the PS5 can emulate PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games in addition to being able to play PS5 games!
That wouldn't come for free, would it. Also, you're using the word 'emulate'. That's what the PS5 is doing, so what's the difference.
@@H53. Well, it depends. There's the ability to emulate being able to load a disc and play the game which in that case are PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 discs in a PS5. The other kind of emulation is the ability to play digital games of PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5 games in the console. Physical vs Digital is where I'm going at. Of course, they might have to raise the price of the PS5 if they're gonna make the chip that enables the backwards compatible disc happen.

The older games get, the worse they will look. Capcom had the right idea with remaking Resident Evil games. And Nightdive has been doing AWESOME work with remaking and remastering games. Revisiting some games is just painful.

Yeah even the Xbox 360 was bad because of the frames drop they should have released a patch or make sure it run constent 30 but no it dropped frame rate a lot

Been playing PS2 emulation on Xbox One dev mode for like 5 years now Xbox Series has 98% compatibilty looks better then this and can go up 4k and can use crt shaders so you get a native look with 4k
It's the emulators that run the game. Don't give Microsoft credit for that, they didn't create them.

Multiplatform games are easy to emulate but the real deal is the exclusive ps2 games like sh2, gow2, mgs3, sotc those games used some unique graphical effects that can't be replicated in the ps5 due to the complex and custome ps2 hardware unlike the ps5 which is just a mid range pc disguised as a console , not to mention even a high end pc struggles with ps2 exclusives emulation and that says alot
