What software you use to record gameplay and audio at same time what spend holidays trying to make gameplay vids
I use OBS. You can record game sound and voice on different channels. You can extract commentary and edit it in audacity.
I can't because I've never failed so much at this game. Burning questionable books - okay. Being surprised by a rare boss - okay. But the rest? Most of the mistakes you did were complete and utter stupidity, no reading, no attention, lack of any common sense. I'm not even good at this game but this was just utterly horrible to watch, I'm sorry. Forgetting torches, intentionally digging with hands (it wasn't a misclick), not bringing a healer, using move/bleed/blight/etc without checking the *very visible* resist list - that's not "funny or silly moments", that's just stupidity.
I was cringing on the 2x antiquarian 2x abom part. Every single move you made there was wrong and against any common sense, like letting your aboms die when you could've transformed back and healed. You could've easily won that fight with all 4 alive and well. Even if not, you're carrying around 15-20k in loot and instead of backing off you stay and die, even when the only champion you have left is an extremely badly trained antiquarian with no offensive moves. Why? Why? Just why?
I have to say that comments like these provide an endless stream of entertainment for me. Since you can gauge my skills so well, I imagine that you have watched 100+ episodes of my let's play in which I complete the game, a let's play in which I decided to learn things by trial and error, experimentation and comments from people watching videos (no reading guides or websites). You must also be aware of the fact that playing video games on youtube requires you to dedicate some of your focus to commentary (especially in a language that is not your native tongue) and you miss things very often. I have to say that I need to search my room for hidden cameras, because you seem to know my mouse movements better than I do. ;)

As much of a fail comp as this is, I'm sure most people disliking have been in your shoes at some point; making mistakes with curios and team comps and not understanding mechanics on the first time through.
Maybe they see themselves in this, hence the dislikes? :P
The curio fuck up was totally me which is why I found it so funny

Why so many dislikes? We were all noobs once (unless one of those people who reads/watches a shitton of info prior playing, then brags how "I beat this and that on my first try and lost zero heroes. I'm such a pro!"). I think it's funny to watch someone new fumble with this game. XD

My biggest fail moment was during a medium weald mission. I was on my way to the last room needed to complete the quest, and managed to get some good loot throughout the mission.
I had the Banshee boss mod installed, and just so happened to stumble upon the mass grave curio right before the door to success.
It was at this moment when my occultist decided the mass grave needed a thorough investigation, triggering a boss fight i was wholly underprepared for.
I just got that mod. It spawned on the first tile of a long Weald mission. I didn’t know what it was . . . Never making that mistake again.

This was so so funny, took me back to when I started first playing and rage quit from the bullshit and wouldn't touch the game for weeks ❣️

2:40 the guy spaffs a precious torch (which he forgot to buy at the start) on the wrong curio and gets a full ass bar of stress and fails a virtue check 😂 fuck me running hahahaha
The part you didn't use the shovel got me, i realised you need to click the shovel at 80 hours in the game.
Darkest Dungeon is always so fun to watch, and play.
Being the sadist and masochist I am, I always try and hope for the worst whenever I play and watch runs.
Also this game will NEVER be not heavily RNG based. This game teaches you to be patient and ready for everything. Also no healer runs literally never work out. I tried them one too many times to the point where it’s not worth it.
It is, but I'm taking a long break from it. At least until the new DLC comes out. I'd say that the high dodge tactic works on apprentice and veteran difficulties. Especially if you bring antiquarian and man at arms with dodge buffing skills.

11:32 i gotta admit, i slayed the tiny pig too on 1st attemp, then i learned one big lesson, i should never abuse little objectives on boss fights, because thats going to end with the worst situation.
Learned the same lesson. I killed Wilbur (name of the small pig) when I first fought the swine prince. He became enraged and just attacked me blindly and unrelentingly. My Leper got afflicted and my crusader was knocking on death's door and my vestal? She straight up died.

Just get the kleptomania trait cured, it's the worst impulsive trait in the game and it's extremely rare, but it's standard on your first knight every time. Get it removed
I got my fair share of annoyance from that quirk. I stab kleptomaniac heroes with needles in medical ward whenever i can :D
At 8:00 you competed the quest because it was explore 90% of rooms. You could've retreated at any point and still would've qualified as exploring that room.
I didn't know that at the time. The whole situation looked really funny :D

Thanks! I have to say, I never had problems with the Cove. Especially if you consider the fact that it has quirk healing corals. It's the Weald that I find most annoying.
No problem man. I love how you're just being yourself., I hate fake youtubers who in every video they're basically shouting and fake laughing and will not shut up for 2 seconds, they can have a 2 hour long video and they don't pause to take a breath once. it's annoying.

Thanks man! Obviously there are some things that I overexaggerate slightly but I prefer a natural flow. I have seen Halcyon 6, an interesting mix of jrpg and x-com like base building. I have a few episodes of 3030 Deathwar on the channel :D

This game is always getting fun when you're fucked.
....And this is why I like using Modded classes (especially Ruler, as they can pretty easily be turned into nice "Dodge Tanks" that also have access to a Riposte that heals them by 2 HP every time they land a Riposte....they can also make great Crit machines too).
Overlord is kinda OP though, since his Grasp Heart ability has a chance to just outright insta-kill the target....and that can even work on BOSSES! Oh, and the Overlord is completely immune to both Bleed & Blight.

hilarity would be if they all survived. For example, by running from that last combat at the start (since you already have full inventory of loot, and running from the room still counts as exploring it for purposes of the Explore quest)

The biggest mistake in all of this was naming the characters. It makes the loss that much more impactful.
True! However the 3rd generation of one of my characters survived till the end and killed the final boss 😆
Just saying lepers really bad except for boss battles. Just wna mention that, although I personally have a legend leper it's just a fact, one that I took very sadly
I hardly used any lepers to be perfectly honest. Low accuracy made them less optimal.
Just give them a focus ring or have them use revenge on the first turn, or the camping skill "reflection".Either that, or have a jester spam battle ballad, and all your ACC problems stop existing.
I always pair my leper with Jester or Man At Arms. With Focus rkng, my Leper is a beast even without self buff
I do hope you stick with it. Darkest dungeon is a blast once you get used to it. Trinkets priority should be speed (Up till 12 speed on any char) then tailored to the strengths of the fighter. But in gen I just increase speed, then ACC (up till 110) then damage and crits. I thought occultist was terrible at first, but it's weald heal is so powerful that you can use them as a healer in later levels. Stay awesome man, and I hope you're able to come to love this game!

Haha, no worries! I have completed the game a long time ago (although Crimson Court was a bit too much for me). I had the whole playthrough on TH-cam, but due to changes in algorithm I deleted most of the videos and left 3 compilations of worst/funniest/best moments as well as the battle with the last boss. I will play Darkest Dungeon 2 on stream as soon as the full version is released.
I understand that the beauty of the game is playing around with the classes and creating different parties to find the one that suits your playstyle well....but seriously... you put 2 antiquarians and 2 abominations.....i mean you should just look at them and say "they are not going in my party"...its hard to keep one abomination and have an ok party but 2 is just insta lose.
Maybe you should watch the original run so I'd know the reasons behind the team. Besides I managed to complete the run so the joke's on you.
The Abomination is a pretty damn solid unit, really I take him on the runs I know are going to be a pain in the ass because he´s so good

It's not really that funny... he's not a very good player. It's more funny when the player is not at a fault. He was responsible for so much of the crap that was happening to him. He has a shovel and he doesn't use it? Like come on.
