BamaBass I put deer crawfish squirrel and rabbit and the same kind of seasons that you do in yours
BamaBass try Brussel sprouts, asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli and and about 3 to five minutes before taking the pot out add pineapple slices

Omg I WAS LEGIT thinking that..... that Cali lifestyle won’t let you waste a drop of water 😭
lmao right? When he was saying that I was like dude is that okay that its running that long?
I live in L.A., Los Angeles, not Lower Alabama. And when he turned on the water and actually left, and left it running.. I was cringing. And looking over my shoulder for the cops!
Or you run out of water with that lack of rain lmao
I'm not living in America so i don't know. But is water that expensive or is it illegal to use a lot of water because of drought? Just curious.

Cut up about 4 to 5 lemons and squeeze the juice and add the lemons to your water when you add your seasoning it gives it a good flavor and also add 1to 1/2 sticks of butter it helps tails come out of the shells easier...thank y’all for y’alls videos I watch and enjoy every single one!! ROLL TIDE FROM TUSCALOOSA 🐘
ROLL TIDE
That Swamp Fire seasoning has a generous amt of lemon flavoring.
The fat in the sausage will do exactly what the butter would do.
@@CFG_Carnage what does roll tide mean ?
@@nerdgeekcosplay909 Roll Tide is a phrase trademarked by the University of Alabama. It is a cheer used to rally fans of the college’s athletics teams, known as the Crimson Tide.
Great job! I’m trying this TODAY! Your baby is beautiful and your wife looks like such a peaceful and pleasant person. Thanks again for the recipe!!!!! I’m from New Orleans- I like to throw in garlic cloves, celery, lemons and oranges!!! Mushrooms would be a first for me- it’s getting added this round.
Beautiful wife and daughter and delicious dinner. Blessed man. Love from far up north.
ONLY thing I would add, Is what an old Cajun friend of mine told me. When you are done with the purge" however you do it", drain the water off where it just covers them in the cooler, And 10 mins before you cook em, get a can/small package of your choice of crawfish seasoning, old bay, crab boil, or whatever you like, and mix it in with them. They will filter that into there body and it seasons them from the inside :)
I have to try this makes sense in theory lol! Cant believe I have never heard of this before, as every crawfish boil we have or go to, people are always sharing and exchanging techniques to help cook the best crawfish!
Megaglow Z I need to try that
That is some next level advice

Pro tip right there
We add same makings but also onions halved, lemons halved, garlic heads with tops cut off, celery, carrots, and Brussels sprouts. Now dats Cajun!
I'm from Pennsylvania so I've never had crawfish like this but I love seafood and I now have another goal in life and that is to make this recipe. My mouth is literally watering lol. Thanks for sharing.

I love me some mudbugs. I lived in New Orleans in the late 90s, and was engaged to a native Newoleaner. Needless to say, I ate my fair share of crawfish and crab boils, at family functions, and local bars in my neighborhood (French Quarter). I miss those days.
My mouth is literally watering, watching this video.
Next time you do a Crawfish Boil, when you add the seasoning add the juice from 6 oranges and 3 lemon squeezed and toss in 3 of the oranges and 1 1/2 lemons before you do the rest. Then before the crawfish go in remove the lemon and oranges. You'll really enjoy the extra flavor it provides.
also whole pods of garlic.... they come out super soft and put that on a cracker with a mushroom and a crawfish tail.... whole nudda lebel
The crawfish at 2:17 he was like square up😂

Missing the citrus fruits and vegetables to flavor the liquid as well. I always put lemons, oranges, onion, garlic, and celery.
forrreal i always use lemon or lemon pepper and green onions really gives the crayfish a good flavor

Perfect ! Exactly the way to cook those delicious crawfish!! Great job!!
For all of you trying to point out what is wrong and what you would have done... Cooking things are like chicken, steak or eggs. Sometimes over easy, sometimes scrambled, sometimes an omelette. Roasted chicken, fried chicken, rotisserie, grilled, smoked, etc. There is never one way to cook something. This is a very simple and efficient way to cook deliciously. Just while eating or immediately after don't kiss the baby or touch its hands.
James, the guy in the video ASKED them to tell him their versions of the Crawfish boil recipe, what you're saying is kinda irrelevant...
At the end of the video he specifically asked everyone to chime on in and tell how they like to cook the craws. So its kind of silly to complain about him getting exactly what he asked for :) Oh and it is in the description as well lol He really wants to know how everyone else does it to compare notes and be friendly and such. It is a great way to keep things friendly and positive
For me it looks delicious tho, it just as same as how Boiling Crab cooks
avaorchid But that’s the thing. You have idiots like “Well, I’m from New Orleans so I’m the allfather of crawfish boils. You forgot so and so, so this isn’t even a real boil” A lot of these people that are “chiming in” are just being elitists with food lmao. No friendliness or positivity
WHEN YOUR TALKING ABOUT BOILING crayfish there aren't a bunch of different ways to do it, the seasonings can vary a little bit from batch to batch but its pretty much same thing everywhere.
Oh man, you gotta start adding full garlic cloves. They get soft and delicioso, helps with skeeters too!!!
Jake,
Oui, mon ami! Add de garlic fo sho!
Following this recipe for a crawfish boil that's kicking off in about an hour!! Had the mudbugs shipped to VA from Raceland, LA.

I've never been to or had a crawfish boil. This video made me super hungry. I'm gonna have to try this one day
Same! I've had crab and lobster (didn't care for them), but never craw fish.
If you didnt like a crab boil then you probably wont like crawdads

They’re SO GOOD
They are delicious, especially with an ice cold beer!
Great video. I’m a guy from Baltimore who grew up on Old Bay crabs, I love seeing the way other places cook and eat different shellfish. The table is awesome
This was a fantastic video, appreciate you being so thorough. Bout to get our crawfish on!

niogel those are some bad mudbugs. Let's blame the schools.
So they are basically bite-sized lobsters
Exorio sorta but sometimes you add potatoes onions lemons sometimes and crab boil but technically yes
no arent dont taste the same or nothing they are just related specimen
Taste is completely different
They live in freshwater and are more diverse in color
They have a different taste
ive been recommend this multiple times and still watch everything everytime

The only thing that's real important also to me is making sure you put butter, halved lemons, and garlic!! Other than that, we do it very similar!! Great video man!! Having our first 2019 boil next weekend!!!!
catchemalive gotta have the garlic😋
catchemalive put some oranges in to
@@badkompany4054 We use oranges as well! Our first boil is this Saturday. Can't wait! We live in Texas but I'm from Mississippi.
How much butter, lemons and garlic? And oranges too? Trying it out for the first time tomorrow. Put it in with the Crawfish or prior during when the water is warming to boil?
Joseph Fording
Assuming your using a 20-25gal pot, I fill it up about 2/3 full of water, add 4 sticks butter, 6 halved lemons squeezed over the water then dropped in, same with oranges too if you like, 1 can of salt, around 16oz of garlic, 8oz of Louisiana liquid boil, the amount of dry crab boil for how many bugs your cooking, then add taters and boil them till "nearly done", not completely, then add bugs, mushrooms, sausages and corn and bring back to a boil and cook until bugs are floating good. Usually 5 min!! Then kill your heat, add a thermometer, stir and drop in ice until water reaches 150degrees. Let sit at least 5 min before removing! The longer it sits, the hotter it is!! We let the last few batches sit 10-15 min for spicier bugs for the grown ups!! Hope this helps and wish I was there with y'all this weekend!
Never had it before, but wow that looks amazing
You did such a great job on step by step instructions I've always been kinda intimidated on doing a crawfish boil but your video made it possible and I have to say them were the best dag gone mud bugs I've ever ate. in Australia we call crawfish 'yabbies'. cute dog btw.
crawfish and yabbies are different... we cant get live crawfish in Australia... Yabbies are about 1.5-2 times bigger... taste is distinctly too... Crawfish is only found in Mexico and parts of America.... Yabbies are only found in Australia

Louisiana here. I’m definitely gonna try this. We add whole garlic, whole onion, halved lemons, and then my favorite side: poke holes in a can of asparagus and throw that in there after you pull your crawfish, let it sit for about 10-12 minutes

I'd rather you not boil a metal can and all it's plastic liners. Take the asparagus out and put it in a cloth/mesh bag.
