Thanks for reacting to another Gap Band Song! How about you try one of their lead singer’s bangers (Charlie Wilson) I’m Blessed? (He also has a version of that song with TI.)
Also twinz..when you aren't familiar with the words..pull out that Google for lyrics. You would understand the song better. It said.."Early in the morning to find another love". I noticed that part was mumbled..lol. We do it all of the time.
Also..drop an email in the link for suggested songs to be listened to. I dropped a couple in the past..I believe "Switch- ICYN" was one but don't know if your recent review was from someone else. But there were more songs. Good job..Handsomes!
This is some old school funk...can't go wrong with the Gap Band. Charlie Wilson is still performing to this day. RIP to Robert Wilson, who played guitar.
Love this song! 🥰
And RIP his other brother Ronnie who plays keyboard in the video but was best known as the Gap Band's trumpet player.
I totally enjoyed and loved this old school hit music video! WF-😎🤩😍😉✌️👌
You should do "Party Train" and "Oops upside your head", absolute bangers from the Gap Band!!
Uncle Charlie (Wilson) is still singing, recording and touring!!
Back in the day it was all about dance!! And this song is AWESOME.
The 80s had some really good R&B bands and this is one of them… Brings back good memories
They started in the 70's.
The Gap Band was played every Saturday morning while cleaning house, my mom would put the record on... As I got older this was our song to our warm-up for Softball 🥎 games cause we have to be up super early... You can't help dance or sing along... Much luv from Colorado ❤️
Omg, when you look up the word "BANGER!" in the dictionary, it plays this song!!!
Gap Band, Dazz Band Rick James, so many GREAT groups and singers "old school" music. Love it. I'm with you two I a not a "Morning Lark", I'm a Night Owl" for sure!! You two are doing a fantastic job in listening to different genres. Thanks for sharing!!
this was some throw down, stomping, good time music. You couldn't listen to the Gap Band without wanting to hit the dance floor.
Have to love everything about this song. So addictive! You can get lost in this groove. That bassline, the guitar part, the sparse piano riff, and the handclaps should be to move you. Good choice. 💃🚶 Uncle Charlie Wilson still performing this song currently.
Bass line 🔥
The Gap Band is some of the best roller skating music ever.
Ayyyyye, that step they do at the end of the music video is absolute FIRE🔥🔥 Oklahoma’s OWN!
The Gap Band was always playing in the clubs back then, I was glad to experience it!!!! Great reaction Tim & Fred as always!!! 😎👍🏼♥️☮️💃🌹
Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has said that the opening drums of this song heavily influenced his opening drums for “Smells Like Teen Spirit” when he was the drummer of Nirvana.
Interesting!
In the 80's everyone was gettin their groove on at the club to the Gap Band
The Gap band can make Happy birthday into some great funk!
Word! Lol
They should have done you drop a bomb on me
Still love the Gap Band pure talent! And I loved that you guys liked them too!
I love this - My Mom would blast this every Sunday morning while we got ready for church as teenagers - she passed 5 years ago this week, so this makes me happy ❤️
I never missed a show when The Gap Band came 2 Dallas Texas. I seen them perform in those actual costumes...R.I.P. 2 Robert and Ronnie Wilson.
Oh em gee I freakin love The Gap Band!!!! If you can sit still while they are on, check if you have a fever.
Find the live version of "(Running) In & Out of My Life" the Gap Band did here in Philadelphia on the Tom Joyner Sky Show. Great live sound from them!
Yearning For Your Love 😉
Love the Gap Band, those were the good ole days!!!
Ok youngins...got me back at my days as an Airman at Clark AFB in the Philippines...what you doing to me...we could not wait until Friday night R & B night at Clark AFB Airmans Club in the Mirror Lounge....brothers and sisters out of our Air Force uniforms clean sharp fine and looking good. The DJ one of our fellow Airmen was the DJ and on point. From 9pm to 1am we tore it up from the floor up. I mean we put a hole in the floor. Lawd some good times. Then after the club closed many of us went over to the bowling alley that was open until 2am for late bowl get to the snack bar and order a 2 piece and fries (chicken that is)...that was the best meal after dancing till early in da morning. We could not wait until the next Friday to do it all over again!
They Don't Make Music Like This Anymore. This Is Music I Would Listen To Anyday
Tim and Fred, please do a reaction to The System "Don't Disturb This Groove", you guys will love it! 😎👍
They did ☺️
Great song!!
Yes they will ❤️🎶
It is so amazing and wonderful how Charlie Wilson; Earth, Wind, and Fire; Ronald Isley and the Isley brothers are still making music and in high demand! That EWF vs The Isley Brothers was the best one they've had so far!
They’re not still MAKING music but they are still PERFORMING and you’re right in high demand. Add Frankie Beverly & Maze to that list & Eddie Levert’s group (sorry they’re name slips my mind)
Don't forget to include The Whispers in this group
Actually Charlie Wilson, the Isley's and the Whispers are still making new music now!
This song never gets old, 🔥👍🏽❤️….
“Party Train” is a must!
Guys I been cruising with The Gap Band for decades. YOU GOTTA WATCH. BURN RUBBER ON ME!!! That's the one!
It's wicked!
Trust your Brooklyn friend ~Red
Hey Twins this was my song when I was little girl. We had a lot of great songs in the 80's and 90's
Yes sir! This is my favorite Gap Band jam! Especially the long version! Tim and Fred y’all looking nice and handsome with your fresh hair cuts and loc’s! Peace and blessings twins!
One of my all time faves!!
Used to tear myself up dancing off this tune.♥️👌🏾
One of the greats
I love Fred’s “yeah” too 😂
As a Nigerian, no party was complete without at least Gap band, Kool and the gang, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind and Fire, as much as we love Afro pop now, we still love these sounds.
I Love the Gap Band, they are cold.
Tim you were born at the wrong time. lol I know you dig songs like this!! Love your brothers hair!!!
I just saw Uncle Charlie Wilson(the lead singer from the GAP band) in concert with Jodeci and New Edition this past Thursday in DC. The Culture Tour! Uncle Charlie is still rollin!! My daddy ALWAYS loved the GAP Band....this is one of my favorite old school groups!!🔥🔥
Check out the song "Fantastic Voyage" by the group Lakeside. Select the audio version to hear the entire song. The video version is too short.
I was a kid at the time this was out, and my parents had the album. When they weren’t paying attention or we had sitters, we’d put the album on and dance on the couch, pretending it was our cruise ship.
Gap Band is amazing!
Finally my favorite Gap Band song and the guy in the middle is Charlie Wilson who has a really good solo career.
Another great reaction both. Love it when you get your groove on. Luv yuh❤
These last few songs have been songs we requested a year ago or more. Thank you for listening to them!
Glad You Like It! ❤️❤️
GAP stands for Greenwood, Archer, and Pine… the streets in Tulsa, Ok where the Black Wall Street was.

Another cool song and group that you have introduced me to. Thanks!!
Time for the "Party Train". good song , great video....
This was our house party music. Everybody would get up and dance. Bbq's, birthdays, 4th of july parties, this was and still is the jams. Charlie Wilson is a legend.
The gap bad will stand the test of time. One of the greatest bands of all time..
Uncle Charlie’s voice is beyond …. 2022 and still rockin those hits. They’re the BEST
HOLY FUCKIN SHIT YOU FOUND THE GAP BAND!! EARLY IN THE MORNING< YOU DROPPED A BOMB ON ME AND THE BEST GAP SONG BURN RUBBER ON ME!! This was probably the most played band at the skating rink!!

The band that sounds like them is called The Dazz Band. Their song "Let It Whip" is awesome.

Thanks for reviewing this song. This was the jam and still on my rotation. It was my wake-up tune, when it first came out. Yes, you have to turn this song up while listening to it. Love the 🔥 on the drum 🥁 sticks too!
Yes 🎶🎶🎶🎶💯
Oh man, we couldn't jump up on the dance floor fast enough.
Gap Band is one of the biggest group in the 80’s can you react to Isley Brothers “If Leaving Me Is Easy “
Blue Magic “What’s Come Over Me “and “Spell “
They represented Oklahoma to the fullest in this video. My favorite up tempo jam of theirs is "Burn Rubber." Great reaction !!
One of the best!!!
Tim’s stank face makes my day!
This was my favorite band back in the day.
Another great Gap Band reaction! Thank you guys!
Love me some Gap Band!
However, the original title came from the band, Bad Company.
Maybe start with the the song, Bad Company.
Twins are always the best trend!
Running in and out of my Life is one of their popular ballads.
This is one of the greatest videos. Take note: the drumsticks are on fire for the entire song!!! Charlie Wilson is an explosion of what the music industry should be ❤
Thanks for sharing the Gap Band, I'm from GI and this was always on the play list❤❤
56 years old now but used to roller skate to their music. Burn rubber was another amazing skating song. We even had a shuffle 6 pack dance team, lmao. We were such cheese heads, lol. The 80's produced some of the best hip-hop/rap songs ever.
This song is the jam to roll to at the skating rink.
One of my all time favorite bands! The Gap Band always threw down!
One tight performance and band. : )
💜💜💜💜
Please check out Robert Palmer’s version of this song as well. I love both of them
Oooh The Gap Band, my favourite track of their's is Oops Upside Your Head and we used to do a sit down dance to it.
In the Army back in 1982 I would have this set up on the stereo and every morning blast it in my barracks room. The Rooster always brought it all together.Check out their other hit called You dropped a bomb.
I grew up in Tulsa, went to school with family members of one or more of these guys. Greenwood And Pine. Drove those streets in my teens.
High Energy! love it😎
Hahahaha I get up at 2:30am to be at work for 3:30am, but I like it most of the city is still asleep makes my job way easier, and by the time everyone is up my shift is almost done. Gap band is amazing 🤩
That was the jam!!!
This was fun to watch, Twins. I happen to love the song. Your reactions were spot on. Thanks for the entertainment.
