For the power tripping principal story: OP should have definitely not dropped the charges. That school official, operating under the assumption that OP was a student, thought it was okay to lay hands on them. If that's how they treat someone they presume is a student, how are they treating members of the actual student body? OP definitely should have sued.
Also, from countless posts and stories and testimonies from people that I have seen, putting your hands on people, especially by surprise, can trigger a bad reaction. Like, the person could suffer a panic attack, go into an instinctive self-defense mode and deck you, or scream like they were about to be murdered or SA'd. Just don't touch people
@@silverflight01 Agreed. My late German immigrant maternal grandmother once said, roughly translated: "Don't start nothing and there won't be nothing. If you put your hands on someone, you better be prepared for them to put hands on you.”
I can almost guarantee you that the school board *was* notified. As you said regardless of OP being not a student, laying a hand on someone, yanking them back and almost causing them to fall is assault no matter what. If they'd did it to a student that would have actually been worse. The principal and obviously vice principal of a highschool being arrested and led away in handcuffs is *VERY* bad publicity and they at the very least have been severely reprimanded if not outright fired for that.
Story 1: Never allow someone who has committed Assault & Battery to leave the scene of the crime. Call the police...press full charges. At least get trespassed. Story 2: Legend has it the idiot is STILL thinking that OP is a store employee and is stocking the vender-only products against the rules. Story 4: Not only was it Assault & Battery but also felony False Imprisonment...Always press charges...only jail time will stop people like that from doing it again. Can you imagine how many times they have assaulted children and gotten away with it? Nether one needs to be around children ever again.
Story 4 - ‘Misunderstanding’ my butt! Those two idiots should not be around kids (little kids or teenagers) if they think manhandling anyone is acceptable. OP shouldn’t have dropped the charges on those two AH. I’m a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do (since I was 14) and a soccer style kicker, and if that had happened to me, those idiots would be on the ground clutching their family jewels in pain.
Story 2: I love the fact that the guy even said "you're not even allowed to stock those items", which suggests that he was aware that those particular items were supposed to be stocked by a pull-up vendor, not regular store employees, yet he couldn't actually make the connection that if somebody he didn't know in a different uniform was there stocking those particular items, _maybe they actually worked for the vendor who was supposed to be there stocking them._
Yeah as soon as he mentioned employees not being allowed to stock those items, it was just absurd that he couldn’t put it together. “Oh, so you _do_ know that non-employees stock these items? Okay. So, with that knowledge, do you think it would be possible for a pull-up vendor to come here and do their job by stocking this product? Perhaps, someone wearing this shirt? Maybe someone who does his job regardless of other employees’ schedules and insists he doesn’t work for you? Any of this clicking yet?”
@@forcewielder2000 I think he still didn’t get it even after being fired. Lord only knows what he told his family when he got home about the “real” reason he was let go 🙄
😅story 4 - even if it WAS a student that they were assaulting, it was STILL assault. If anyone assaults me, I'm pressing charges. There is no way to tell how much these people will hurt the next person, or the last person, or their students! Assault is assault. If OP had been a student, it would have been assault of a minor. I don't want someone like that as the Principal or Vice-principal of my local school. Press charges people. They might not learn, but they can be removed from their position of authority.
Exactly! I’m worried about the students at the school now if the principal thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to assault minors like that. He has no authority to do that to *anyone!* What happens if he catches a child running in the halls? Is he gonna knock the kid on his ass? Trip him so he lands on his face? He needs to be stopped!
Why? Consider the cost & benefit analysis from OP perspective. The cost is OP would have to go to police headquarter to make the report and to court for testimony, meaning hours or days where OP have to miss his regular job. And the benefit? Bare their previous records (if any existed), OP would saw those two persons at most got one month of community service sentence. It's totally not worth the hassle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Story 4: Charges shouldn't have been dropped. Like seriously, the dude believed to have grabbed and janked at a MINOR. This would have been even worse than it is if not for the misunderstanding!
OP was not a minor. Also, the brother is correct. Consider the hassle from the charge. And to be able to what? Watched them got one month community service? Not worth it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@gorilladisco9108 Yes. We know OP isn’t a minor. No one said OP is a minor. But the principal _thought_ OP was a student, so the principal believed the person he assaulted was a minor and had no issue laying his hands on what he believed to be a teenager in his care.
Story 4: Ops brother is also an AH. Op was assulted and thats just letting people off the hook. She shouldnt have dropped the charges. They are more than likely doing this same if not worse things to their students.
The charge would entail OP to go to court, give testimony, etc. etc. And OP would be unable to go to work every time the police or court needed him to testimony. The brother was correct, too much hassle and for what? To see those two guys got one month of community service? To drop it is a mature advise. They already got their scare, after all. You, on the other hand, is immature.
Story 1 - Yeah you’re absolutely right, OP and her manager should’ve reported the assault to the police. And that ‘security guard’ should’ve been written up for not doing their job or fired for being useless.
In Australia, security guards are there to protect the staff from aggressive people. Most are not allowed leave the service area without a member of staff directly asking them for help. Some cannot do that. They also can't leave the store unless escorting someone. They are very limited in what they can do. If they go beyond these duties they can be fired, fined, and arrested. Check what security can and can't do in your local area before passing judgement.
I worked in the No. 2 big box retail chain in America for 15 years and one time one of our A.P. (asset protection) people chased down and tackled an abusive runner and was fired for it.
Some small business in small areas dont have access to trained security. These guys are to call 911 and not put themselves or otheres at risk because they are not trained. Its the thought that having em around should discouraged bad behavior.
25+ years working security That guards primary job at that location is to (Lower the company's insurance rate!) After that, duty's will depend on Security Company policies, Client's rules, and local/state law's/regulations.
Story 4: What's his problem? Grabbing and pulling people just won't end well for them, like what if they caused a panic attack, or OP instinctively decked one of them in self-defense?
For the Principal story, OP's brother gave him some seriously bad advice. If more people were held accountable for their terrible behavior we might would actually reduce the Karen population after a few generations.
I was really expecting (and hoping) the grabber to be the winner of the award. Also i really hope that floor manager never gets hired for another management position bc some peoples egos are just too big that even the slightest bit of perceived authority goes straight to their head
Story 2: The manager even recognized that the product being stocked was not supposed to be stocked by employees of the store. He recognized the guy was not wearing store uniform so he had to see the logo. Geez, unbleeding believable. Just wow.
@@haworthlowell805 LOL it is. You can drag a horse to water but, you can't make him drink. Why would someone drag a dead horse to water. FYI you can easily pour water down a dead horse's throat. Thus making him drink. He is dead he can't spit it back out.
Yeah, really! When you’ve dug yourself so deep into the whole you can’t see daylight, it’s time to stop digging before somebody starts to fill it in over you (or pulls the flush handle ;-D)!
Or, he was just so full of himself and his expanded ego overrode his brains. I'm sure he lwarned nothing from this and would tell you the district manager was firing him because he was scared the floor manager would have his job soon.
Story 3 - People do it because they think that no one will question their claim and that they can get away with it. That lady deserved the utter humiliation she got for what she did.
First story.... AH needed a swift kick in the cojones, hard! 🤨 Story two.... A saying comes to mind for floor manager, "You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you!?" 😂 Story three.... Haha! Beautiful karma! 😆 Story four.... ALWAYS PRESS CHARGES!! That was assault! 😡 Last story.... BWAHAHAHA...!! 😅
Something to add about story 4: it was assault against someone that they believed, whole heartedly, to be a *minor.* Honestly, I think in cases like that, they should be charged based on intent and not on result. If they thought OP was a student, and they still laid hands on them, then they at a danger to the students attending the school.
Goth girl story: Jerk probably saw her while walking past the aisle. But yes, the police should have been called. Actually OP, when you told him to let GG go, you should have added that if he didn't you were calling the police. Once he ran out of the store, you should have tried to get the license plate number from his car. Especially considering how useless the security guard was. Stocking story: Wow, that floor manager a doofus and a half!!! He must be a trip if he ever plays "CLUE"! Seriously, how did he get to be any kind of manager if he doesn't even know the people that actually do work for him and that outside vendors come in to stock certain products, which OP was doing? Order for the president story: Not too smart. I'm pretty sure if Karen had bothered to look, she might have noticed the government vehicles in the parking lot. Pulled off bus story: OP, you should NOT have dropped charges. If this principal and vice-principal thinks it's okay to lay hands on people they only think (don't actually KNOW) are students, what are they doing to the actual students in the school? Plus, I would have been contacting the local school board (or the state school board if the local took no action) to ask for their jobs! They were totally out of line! Grabber story: Have to agree with OP. At most such events, while the wait staff is dressed formally, it's a formal UNIFORM rather distinct from what the guests will be wearing. While the head waiter may be dressed somewhat differently, he's still going to stand apart from the guests. Yeah, grabber had enough already.
I normally accept that stories are real, unless there's a huge tell, such as describing people communicating with smartphones thirty years ago (yes, I've actually come across a story that did that). This story has a couple of more subtle tells that make me skeptical. All former presidents have United States Secret Service (USSS) protection details for life, not just those who served before 1997. From the Secret Service's website: "By law, the Secret Service is authorized to protect: -The president, the vice president, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the president-elect and vice president-elect -The immediate families of the above individuals -Former presidents, their spouses, except when the spouse re-marries -Children of former presidents until age 16." According to the USSS, this list is laid out in United States Code Title 18, Section 3056. I find it difficult to believe that there would _only_ be two USSS agents protecting Mr. and Mrs. Bush when they dined out, or that one of only two agents would be pulled away from their protectees so easily. That leaves only one agent--who apparently didn't even bother to stand up when there was a commotion and the only other agent sauntered out of the room. This scenario would be read as a potential ambush of the protectees. In this sentence: "One of president Bush's agents was sat in the corner," (t/s 14:23 ) the phrase _was sat_ is almost exclusively used by people from the UK and Ireland and by those who learned the British style of English. Americans use "was sat" to indicate that someone either directed a person to a specific seat or put them there. Even that usage is relatively rare, as it sounds rather awkward. "I was sat at a table full of single men during Alice's wedding reception. After my initial self-consciousness subsided, I decided to enjoy their attempts to outdo each other with the worst pickup lines." Or: "Jimmy wouldn't stop talking, so he was sat in the corner with a ball gag in his mouth for punishment." (😉)
Story 2: jobs like this tend to promote based on favoritism, nepotism, or blind unthinking loyalty to the corporate bottom line. *NOT* because a person is particularly skilled at managing things. Most importantly, they wanna feel you will not tell them “no” and always strive to meet whatever metrics come down from On High, no matter the cost to you or those you manage. I can almost guarantee this dude was just too slow to comprehend something even slightly different than what he thought he knew, and too embarrassed to admit he might be wrong. Some people live by that mantra: “my boss is never wrong”… and once you’re the boss, you are never wrong. Or, can’t admit that to yourself or others. Easier to throw a fit than change your thought process.
Story 2: As someone that used to work for a grocery store, the fact that someone is stocking a specific brand product (Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Hostess, Oreo, etc) and isn't in uniform should be a clear indication to _any_ manager that this person doesn't work for the store and is in fact a vendor. The fact that it didn't click in this manager's head is absolutely laughable.
Story 2: Talk about digging yourself deeper into termination with cause with the floor manager not able to take a second to look and admitted his mistake but I guess some people are unwilling admit fault even when his livelihood is on the line. Going to imagine finding work without a good work references is going to be hard and the former manager has to go back to being another grunt to another manager.
I would imagine that if an ex-POTUS and his entourage dined regularly at the restaurant in question, then it was probably a very upscale place, so the woman was probably hoping she could score some expensive food for free.
I still don’t understand the audacity of people that demand to watch the person be fired in front of them. Seems like they get sick pleasure off of it.
News of the principal's arrest surely made its way through the school and to the school board. Criminal charges were dropped, but there may have been other consequences.
If you're ever mistaken for an employee or similar DO NOT roll with it to fuck with the instigator, they don't learn anything and you're only riling them up and deflecting their wrath onto an innocent employee, the only instance this could be viable is if you already have a real employee backing you up from the start and you have the opportunity to humble them instantly, do not leave them mid way for someone else to handle
Yeah I know that always pisses me off in these stories. Like, yeah, great job, smart ass. You just ensured some employee is going to be verbally abused.
As someone who worked retail for about 20 years none of this surprises me .I had a saying that went for both customers and some employees they were either color blind Illiterate or a special kind of stupid and sometimes they are all of them.
Story 4 Being the principal and the vice principal, they should know who goes to their school and who doesn’t. Still doesn’t give them the right, to grab anyone.
god iam sick of these people not pressing charges or changing their minds seriously if they think they can get away with it they will do it again to someone else
Last story: In a similar story, the OP was mistaken to be a waiter by a Karen. A little later, OP turned out to be a comedian and went on stage... and kept roasting Karen as his show goes on. OP even served Karen's table as an impromptu skit while doing comedy. Everyone was laughing... except for the embarrassed Karen. All of Karen's group went back a week later... without Karen.
Story 2: Even if OP HAD directly said he worked for vendor X and not the storez it wouldn't have made a whit of difference. Floor manager didnt believe store manager saying that exact thing after all.
Story 2: That floor manager is a special breed of stupid. OP calls for security, and this idiot is like "HAHAHA you foolish mortal, you activated my trap card! Now you're in SUPER big trouble!" Like he's trying to take credit for security being called over as his ultimate power move. fucking unbelievable, I hope he only got a job as a janitor after this since clearly he can't handle any position of power.
Story 2: I remember as a kid coming up to some guy putting away Coke bottles in a store and asking "do you work here?" He said "no, I work for Coke". And that's how I learned that pull-up venders are a thing.
“We’re not stocking out yet! Are you deaf?!” Seems like a super weird thing to yell at someone stocking your shelves… given how many shelf stockers ARE actually deaf. Or is that just in my part of the country? I feel like Publix exclusively hires deaf people to stock. The deaf population isn’t exactly a small group of people.
Deaf Floor Manager Story: He wasn't listening because he couldn't hear due to being deaf from digging down to rock bottom and then he started blasting without hearing protection... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Story 2 - I hope that the other kid got in trouble too. If he hadn't tried to curry favor by being a snitch, I'm sure FM would still have a job there. Story 4 - If the police heavily hints that you should press charges, you press charges! OP's brother was an idiot to tell him to drop them because it's "too much trouble". Those power-tripping guys needed to experience actual consequences! I fear for how they treat their actual students, if they feel entitled to attack someone on the public sidewalk like that. Story 5 - Is there a school somewhere for all these IDWHL people, that tells them that it's OK to lay hands on a stranger? Or did they miss school every time it was taught that it's not OK to touch (grab) others without permission? FFS....
Never ever drop or not press charges. The only way this crap will stop is when enough people hear of someone doing time for being a jerk they'll think, I know they don't but I can hope, and decidexthey like being out of jail. Also to the principle; there's that old expression; If you can bo, teach. I've added this to it; if you can teach, administrate!
I haven't worked as security in retail but I did do a brief stint at a hospital, and I can say a few things about why the guard in Story 1 seemed so useless: 1. They probably didn't staff enough guards to both watch the entrances (where retail security usually has to stay) and patrol for disturbances. 2. It's possible they had explicit instructions to not leave their posts unless called by an employee or in cases of obvious danger. 3. He might've been too far away to hear what was going on. 4. He just didn't want it to be his problem and figured he'd get a call if it was serious enough. My money is on a mix of all 4, but especially 1, 3, and 4.
Story 4, while I do agree the principals shouldn’t have laid hands on anyone I get sick and tired of the “always press charges”. Some people just don’t want to be bothered with all the crap that comes with it. They just want to leave and go home and never deal with it again
Fluff, you gotta remember some stores are pretty large and you can't hear every noise in them. At the store I work at, if you are at the main grocery entrance, a security guard likely stationed there most likely wouldn't hear what is going on in the HBA/Pharmacy area unless you have a store radio, which they only give to management.
My first day back to work two months after cancer surgery, and you just made my day, DF. What better way to end my shift than to listen to your voice telling us these tales. I'm tired, but I'm smiling.😊
That story about Bush is accurate. The detail won’t put up with any crap. I know because I was worked for a doc of a former potus. Security is always tight. They know everyone
I got yelled at a while ago at a large chain grocery store for not doing my job. This idiot new hire floor manager thought I was just messing around, and not doing my job. I was in a bad mood to begin with so this all came out at volume 10. "LOOK AT MY SMOCK IT SAYS (REDACTED) ANIMAL CLINIC YOU MORON! I DON'T WORK FOR YOU!". The actual store manager came running up, and sees me. He says, "Doc you okay?" he's also a client at the clinic by the way. I said to please get this moron away from me. The manager just said, "Office Now.". I really hope the floor manager didn't get fired.
Ask the floor manager, "What's my name? How long have I worked here? What was I hired to do? When was the last time you saw me? And why can't you answer any of these questions?"
4:01 Cops called, Asshole arrested, Security Guard Fired Story 3: 15:41 🤦♂️ Story 4 Charges pressed and both there asses Fired and banned from any form of School...
1) OP should have called the police to get that AH arrested for assault. Security Guard was worthless. There definitely should have been charges filed so this AH can't get away with this kind of behaviour. 2) What an idiot. Glad he got his comeuppance for being such an ignorant AH. 3) Glad that obnoxious scammer was caught and faced consequences. 4) It is too bad OP didn't press charges, this was assault, and had they not mistaken OP, they would have been assaulting a student. presumable underage. This should have led to severe consequences. 5) LOL
The story about the floor manager reminds me of a scene in "The Grinch" where the Grinch is talking to his echp yelling "I'm an idiot!" And the echo responds: "you're an idiot!"
"I'm not talking to you anymore. In fact I'm going to whisper so that by the time my voice reverberates and comes back to me, I won't be able to hear it." "…You're an idiot!"
I got dragged onto a school bus because someone thought I was a student at their middle school. I was 18 lol. To make a long story short, after a bit of arguing, the person stood me at the front of the bus and asked if anyone recognized me and if I belonged with them and they of course said no. That could have been an interesting afternoon.
Power trip Principal - never drop charges. My brother was assaulted by his Vice Principal, and in our situation, the family Doctor "didn't want to get involved" and the School Board said my mother made it up, meanwhile my brother has physical evidence of the assault that everyone is just ignoring. If you have the Police involved, PRESS CHARGES. and call them back every few weeks or so to get an update.
0:29 Serve Me Steve 4:14 Floor Manager Miles 11:33 I laughed so hard when the story said the Karen head-butted the door 😂 15:55 if OP was a high school student, then they could've gone to jail for manhandling a minor, I wouldn't be surprised if they DID treat their students like this 19:24 "Well I think you've had enough" best line in this story LOL 😂
3rd story would be child abuse if OP was a minor, in the US. Either way, they DID get arrested & went to jail, even if it wasn't for long. If it had been me, I would've found out their names & went to the school board
I would NOT have dropped the charges. First, while it can be a hand full the fact that there was given statements by other teens (Likely could have gotten the bus driver too with a little time) and the fact that their was enough evidence to get them arrested on the stop, an investigation no matter how small would have pretty much gotten them fined pretty hard, and likely have gotten OP a pay out. Second, they are in charge of a school so the fact they put hands on a teenager, someone they would mistake for being in school, likely would have set off a lot of alarms. No doubt they'd be suspended (sadly likely with pay) for this and if they are willing to put hands on one teen they are likely already being violent and grabbing the arms of other kids who actually do go to their school. Lastly, OP likely would have gotten a sizeable pay out, including fines, damages, charges for the assault, lost work time when having to deal with this, so on. They also were likely to lose their job if as I said before an investigation happened, even just a little one, resulting in termination and maybe even more charges if it comes out they are hurting other teenagers. They basically could have ruined their lives, period. They'd have no job, be labeled a felon with felony charges, they'd not be able to get another job easily as a result, and it would be a good message to NEVER put your hands on someone unless you are defending yourself
You should’ve called the cops immediately! He assaulted her and was told repeatedly to let her go. Your security guard is useless and you should always call the cops on these people. That’s why they keep doing it because people like you don’t stop them. And I stop them I mean, call the cops and press charges! Always always always always always press charges! It’s worth the time.
Story 2 guy put into Story 3: Dayum! Karen got pwned! Edit: Story 4 - DarkFluff, I’m with you! APC - Always Press Charges, especially when a person with authority is caught abusing that authority.
Last STORY…The better question would be, WHY are both the PRINCIPAL and Vice-PRINCIPAL OFF SCHOOL GROUNDS GRABBING KIDS, what LITTLE AUTHORITY they MAY HAVE ENDS @ the PROPERTY LINES🤔🤔
First story, no it's not assault. He assaulted the employee with the violent yelling. What he did to the customer is battery. It falls under the same criminal law but is different. She also might not have gone to the police because she may potentially have a warrant. She wasn't in the wrong in any form here but food for thought.
When my daughter was student teaching at a jr high 8th grade for 3 months. Her 5 foot 1 inch was outside during lunch on her phone. An administrator mistook her for a student and tried to take away her phone. When asked her name she gave it and her first name same as superintendent who was a spouse of the CBO in my school district. As the students in her room that she was helping tutor during lunch come out to see her getting berated for being on the phone and giving a phony name. As she tries to explain she is a student teacher on a long term sub assignment he was having none of it. One of the students ran to office to get assistance and she and the remaining students berated for being in a classroom without proper staffing. Needless to say that administrator was called into superintendent office to be corrected on their own behavior. As at the same time being called into the CBO office in my district ( I was a transportation supervisor) and told of the situation and apologized to on behalf of the other district. We got a good laugh and story that remained for quite a few years. And that administrator was on probation and bumped back to a classroom. Mind you this was 25 years ago so nonsense was not acceptable and people got reprimanded for wrong doing on the job. And lastly issues travel fast in small neighboring school districts.
S4: Lame. OP got bad advice from his brother to drop the charges. Bus driver also sucks for just driving off after witnessing an assault. I hope at least the 2 Karens spent the night in jail.
13:56 Before we get to the end of this Story, I just wish to thank OP for the Great Endeavor that has been displayed, on stopping that deranged woman from ruining, and potentially poisoning Customers of Your Establishment. Congratulations 😊
Story 4) even though the OP didn't press charges the damage is alreafy done, those teens won't stay quiet about what happened, a principal and vice principsl assaulting someone thinking they were a student and getting arrested is gossip gold, i 100% guarantee that was spread to every other teen by the next day and by the end of thag day every parent would know and then every relative, the trust and reputation the principal and vice principal had will be destroyed. When the school board hears of this news you can bet they will ask for the 2 guys to resign to save face. 😂
As to the first and fourth story you always press charges to teach these idiots s lesson. As to the second story one of two things should happen. Fire the idiot or demote him and cut his hours a d ha e z person he was nasty to be his boss and then fire him. As to the story about the idiot trying to scam food claiming she was with the former president she wasn't to smart.
15:18 It probably is frowned upon, but I would hazard a guess that the issue (legally) would likely fall under impersonating an officer. The attempted theft is easier to prosecute, but I can definitely see the argument for the impersonation charge. Granted, that charge is intended for impersonating police, but there's definitely a legal argument to be made for secret service, or any presidential detail, being a federal officer role.
I live in Maine and drove past HW’s house. Beautiful place on the ocean. Secret service has a separate house just for them. No cell service when driving past which was interesting.
I know that these are taken with a grain of salt, but as someone that grew up in Kennebunkport and Wells, Maine (class of '86!), the story has me shaking my head for a different reason. First, neither town has a Walmart (nor ever has); the towns to the north and west have them. Second, Wells is directly south of Kennebunkport, not "up the coast." Hard to suspend belief when such details are easy to check in Google Maps.
Story number for if that had happened to me, all that guy from the school would have seen was two fists flying white and his face followed by the pop of a switchblade and him feeling it right against his throat. After that I guarantee he will get the f*** out of the way
Story 3. Of all the food to try to steal, why something as nasty as clams and oysters? Story 4. When the guy blocked OP's path to the bus, OP should've punched or kicked them in the nuts, then pull his ass to ground and walk on him on the way in.
In my country security can't do anything anyway. In our training unless someone attacks you you are to call the police and stay away from the scene if it sounds serious. If you see something do not engage just call police. Basically our uniform is only used to ask non violent people to leave.
For the power tripping principal story: OP should have definitely not dropped the charges. That school official, operating under the assumption that OP was a student, thought it was okay to lay hands on them. If that's how they treat someone they presume is a student, how are they treating members of the actual student body? OP definitely should have sued.
Agreed...he should have been Charged by the Police AND reported to the School Board...
And also lied about the whole thing.
Also, from countless posts and stories and testimonies from people that I have seen, putting your hands on people, especially by surprise, can trigger a bad reaction.

Yeah, that guy was pretty dense. Arrogance makes you stupid, I guess. xD
And he may also get the store manager in trouble if the district manager ask him why an idiot was given the job of a floor manager.
@@kranberry3318 I get the feeling that even if that were said by OP, that the floor manager would still not make the connection.
@@forcewielder2000 I think he still didn’t get it even after being fired. Lord only knows what he told his family when he got home about the “real” reason he was let go 🙄
The guy in Story#4 should've pressed charges. There's no telling how many of their actual students they got physical with daily.
My first grade teacher was like this. When she got mad at a student, she'd slap them. Today, her ass would have gone to jail.
Principal and vice principal need a taste of prison justice.
On the story about op trying to get on the city bus, op your brother was WRONG for telling you to drop the charges.
Absolutely should not have dropped the charges against the school staff & protected the children at the school.
Story 4: Ops brother is also an AH. Op was assulted and thats just letting people off the hook. She shouldnt have dropped the charges. They are more than likely doing this same if not worse things to their students.
At least word would have gone round the school like wildfire. They would have been a laughing stock by the end of the day.
@@lesterbottomley7641 But they're still working around minors, which is unacceptable. The brother is an absolute PoS.
25+ years working security
That guards primary job at that location is to (Lower the company's insurance rate!)
After that, duty's will depend on Security Company policies, Client's rules, and local/state law's/regulations.
Spoken like someone who has no idea what responsibilities and limitations are put on security officers.
Story 4: What's his problem? Grabbing and pulling people just won't end well for them, like what if they caused a panic attack, or OP instinctively decked one of them in self-defense?
OP managed to hold back. I doubt I would have.
I dont do well having people grab me either and tend to strike out if someone aggressively grabs me.
For the Principal story, OP's brother gave him some seriously bad advice. If more people were held accountable for their terrible behavior we might would actually reduce the Karen population after a few generations.
Story 4, OP just created a school legend for the local high school. Good for them.
Nope. F them. They allowed that guy to go back to working with minors because their brother is an idiot and they're lazy.
Just wow.
You can drag a dead horse to water but you can't make them drink.
@@haworthlowell805 LOL it is. You can drag a horse to water but, you can't make him drink. Why would someone drag a dead horse to water. FYI you can easily pour water down a dead horse's throat. Thus making him drink. He is dead he can't spit it back out.
I’m not surprised. Retail is designed for mindless zombies who can’t use their own brains.
@@huntjl88 It's a combination of the phrases "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" and "no sense beating a dead horse".

Story 2: Some people just don't know when to shut up and accept that they are wrong. Like, what else does OP need to prove?
Yeah, really! When you’ve dug yourself so deep into the whole you can’t see daylight, it’s time to stop digging before somebody starts to fill it in over you (or pulls the flush handle ;-D)!
More like, using dynamite to dig the hole deeper. As if getting high on a power trip is going to make the stupider manager's life better.
Or, he was just so full of himself and his expanded ego overrode his brains. I'm sure he lwarned nothing from this and would tell you the district manager was firing him because he was scared the floor manager would have his job soon.
That he needed to prove he was actually born in Hawaii not Kenya

Something to add about story 4: it was assault against someone that they believed, whole heartedly, to be a *minor.* Honestly, I think in cases like that, they should be charged based on intent and not on result. If they thought OP was a student, and they still laid hands on them, then they at a danger to the students attending the school.

Story 5. Always press charges. Don't let them get away with that crap
Re: Grabber story: A red wine drunk is the worst kind of drunk.
Story 4: OP *should* have 'gotten physical' and NEVER DROP THE GODDAMN CHARGES.
I bet the fines and court fees for Story 3's Karen cost her way more than those oysters would have!
Especially kosing her job on top of that!
From the Secret Service's website: "By law, the Secret Service is authorized to protect:
-The president, the vice president, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the president-elect and vice president-elect
-The immediate families of the above individuals
-Former presidents, their spouses, except when the spouse re-marries
-Children of former presidents until age 16." According to the USSS, this list is laid out in United States Code Title 18, Section 3056.
The floor manager on apwer trip telling the vendor off and getting taken down...priceless.
Story 4 - Don't drop those charges and they won't be principals, deans of discipline, or any other school staff anymore.
Promotions and job hire need to be technocratic in their processes.
Story 4: Press the charges!!!!!!
He couldn't admit his mistake as they were escorting him from the store!
He earned himself a permanent spot at the bottom rung of the ladder, as he’s proved he should never again be in a position of authority.

I would imagine that if an ex-POTUS and his entourage dined regularly at the restaurant in question, then it was probably a very upscale place, so the woman was probably hoping she could score some expensive food for free.

Is sadism a part of the Karen persona?

1:00 What were you implying there, OP? That she's a vampire?😅
I haven't worked as security in retail but I did do a brief stint at a hospital, and I can say a few things about why the guard in Story 1 seemed so useless:
The point of security is to be a deterrent and a neutral witness to possible crimes and only become physically active when harm may be done.
4th; Not only not dropping the charges, I would Sue for Assault and Battery!
As to the second and last story if you listen carefully you can hear the air leaking out of their deflating shoes.

"I'm not a vampire."

With the head-butting door Karen, one can hope that maybe it knocked some sense into her.
The U.S. is the only place I know that differentiates assault and battery.
Congratulations 😊
lol that store manager wasn't just digging himself into a hole with the vendor xD He was powerdrilling himself down to the center of the planet xD
Goth Girl didn't want police involvement because police are just If not more likely to treat her as disrespectfully as the a-hole customer.
People like the guys in story 4 are the reason why innocent people like Ahmaud Arbery get killed.
On story 4 either OPs brother knew the guys or was freaking out about how his brother has sent someone to prison and told him to drop the charges
They should get their eyes checked, everyone who makes these mistakes.
I had the thought of impersonation when I saw the moment.
I live in Maine and drove past HW’s house. Beautiful place on the ocean. Secret service has a separate house just for them. No cell service when driving past which was interesting.
Story2. A prime example of the Peter Principle. People are promoted to the level of their own incompetence.
The stocking guy...
You should have said I AM A VENDOR YOU FOOL.
The names may have been changed to prevent doxing.
Re: Story 3: The story is set in Maine. The north east coast of the U.S. has a thriving seafood industry.
In my country security can't do anything anyway. In our training unless someone attacks you you are to call the police and stay away from the scene if it sounds serious. If you see something do not engage just call police. Basically our uniform is only used to ask non violent people to leave.
