Thanks! After a couple of weeks of getting up before 6am I did get very grumpy! Later in the walk, I started staying in private more, slept later and it improved my mood quite a lot!

Great video showing what it's really like out there for some people. Personally, I didn't find any of the problems that you complain about frequently in this video to be anything more than just "life on the camino". I think there are obviously things that occur in albergues that can be frustrating, but I think part of the lessons of walking the Camino is to experience that which you are not comfortable with and find a way to accept it with grace. If you have to get up early so many days in a row, then this should humble you when you consider how many people in the world have to do that everyday for years. You are only having to do it for a few days while simply walking from A to B across a beautiful country with wonderful people. There is a lot to enjoy on the Camino, but we all have to accept the small inconveniences sometimes.
Your criticism of the section of the Camino called the Meseta is just your experience of it, and comparing with other Caminos that you have walked, which is fine. However, for me and many other pilgrims the Meseta is one of most amazing parts of the Camino. The open planes and vastness to the horizon seem to bring the sky closer to you. If you allow the silence and space to enter your mind you will discover deep feelings and emotions that can now find a way to release while walking through the vast empty spaces. There are plenty of occasions to meet and speak to other people on the Camino Francés, but you can also find time to reflect and experience the inner journey too.
