i have the same fear of propane she does. Induction all the way if I do a van build. If I look at a van build and it shows a propane cooktop it usually turns me off from that van.

Your van immediately became one of my favorites. Very simple but thoughtful in the design. I love how each space is so tidy and organized. Some van people need to work on that. Great job, ladies.
I've watched a million of these van life vids. This one is exactly how imagined my future van. I really like the fact y'all decided to separate the kitchen space and bathroom. In most other vids I've seen, the trend is to put the kitchen counter opposite of the bathroom (which for me just seems super odd). This design also flows a lot better. Thanks for sharing!
We almost went the Vanlife route but decided to go sailboat life. Sold everything, went minimalist and bought a sailboat to visit all the beautiful beaches this earth has to offer. Keep pursuing your dream 👍🏼 We now look into spending money for experiences and not objects.
Its Beneteau 36CC, having never sailed before acquiring it was part of the adventure. Learning to sail and maintain the boat was and continue to be a fun experience.
I've probably watched over 100 van builds at this point and I have to say, this is THE best build I've ever seen. The design, function, layout, space utilization and storage are all top notch! Well done, ya'll!!
So nice that you made sure there was one side of the van pretty clear which left the floor with a little more room. It required strategy to get it done but it was achieved beautifully
You will be just fine with the way you's have the van laid out from side to side of the weight and room for more battery on the right side. On windy days its the nature of the beast 0 to worry about. Retired RV Tech. Rock ON!!
4:30 The other day as I was traveling Germany I came across a group of people who were having a workshop weekend learning about Bonsai trees. I was amazed at how some of those people were able to trim down a tree to about 12-16 inches and have it look like a fully grown tree... truely nice hobby also, very zen also as you can imagine...
Aside from the heating/cooling issue, I think it's such a refreshing layout and design, and very utilitarian as well. Congrats and good luck on your camper-van life!
Just a heads up on Spider Plants. Even though Spider Plants are good during the day to remove toxins in the air, once the sun goes down, the Spider Plants release all the toxins it has collected during the day. So, if possible, I recommend that once the sun goes down everyday to leave that side door open for at least an hour to an hour and a half with a fan blowing out the air out from inside the van. That is really important to avoid toxic toxins build-up within the van air. Cheers, from New York City.
This van is awesome. Its so rare to get a van tour that has a real shower. You guys managed to have a shower and plenty of space. Your kitchen is a great size and it is practical. I going to use your conversion a reference for my upcoming van build.

At the 11 minute mark when you closed it off, I thought to myself "what? is that it? ... _more more more_ !" Fabulous van. I love the simplicity and yes, you *are* correct. Simple is best - no A/C. I also love all the wood you used, even though it added significant amount of weight / fuel. And attention to detail - the drawers move like they are on butter. May I suggest, if you have not already done so, tinting your windows, for both privacy & security but also to keep down the temperature when the sun is beating down on you. Again, gorgeous van, and thank you for sharing!

For the puppy..check after driving to see if it gets hot in that area. When we drove a RV the heat would be so hot over the hump in the front and the dog would over heat. So we had to make sure she didn't sit in that area. Always good to check.
this camper van is just cool. I have been thinking for this kind of van for years.... now its time to sell my house and build one of them to Gear on. 😍
