I'm not putting this message up, not to get into arguments with United fans, I'm putting it up to explain why I'm watching this. I'm a Liverpool fan of nearly fifty years. I've disliked United since they stopped us doing the treble in 1977...but I've always loved Andrew Cole. I watched his career from the very beginning when he was an Arsenal youth player. I'm from London and watched him play against West Ham in a youth game. Like Troy said at the beginning me and the guys I grew up with saw ourselves in Cole and Wright. The unfair portrayal of them in the media mirrored what many of us were experiencing on a daily basis. Even when he went to United I wanted him to do well. Really glad I stumbled on this video. Good job, Troy.

I'm a Liverpool fan also and I didnt know it was possible to Love and hate watching someone play at the same time until I watched him and Dwight York in partnership. If I ever bump into him I'll happily tell him he's one of the greatest strikers of the premiership era (easily top 5 and thats a massive achievement)

Respect for Mr Cole! Defo inspired future generations of us and very much remained his own man. Very frank, and don't forget how unpredictable he was upfront! His movement, combos and finishing was maverick instinct refined that delighted, and sometimes frustrated, because of how many opportunities he positioned himself well for. Utd had some very different and very wonderful forwards at that time.

Mad that Shearer scored 72 penalties in the premier League, so he's on 188 goals without them. Pretty much level with Cole.
This is the main thing that makes Cole so criminally underrated and why he always says it's about perception.
He's even on open play goals with Shearer but look at the variety of goals he scored, many different finishes

Big respect to Andrew cole the way he never disrespected us once just shows the class of the man and il be honest in saying i use to hate man united as a kid when they were our main title rivals in those battles in the early 2000s but both teams wers always neck and neck and had great players on both sides and i can honestly say that Cole was a world class striker and was one of the best strikers who played for Man united some of his goals were out of this world pure magic. Even after leaving and going to blackburn and fulham he was still pure quality and scored bangers. Andrew Cole is one of the best strikers the premier league has ever seen 100

You don't know the man and that is a swiping generalisation to make on behalf on of 3 million people. Despite what some people say most Jamaicans love, respect and recognise Africa. Andy Cole is a very confident man in his ability and his legacy. He could have padded his stats with a ton of penalties but he didn't. If he is supposed to be medicore then how come he remains in the top four Prem league strikers for so long? Shearer took a load of penalties for Blackburn and Newcastle.

34 goals and leading assist player all in the same season and you call him mediocre? That record has not been broken. 😅 you clown. 187 goals in 414 games, fourth highest without pens or free kicks. Shearer's numbers are inflated by pens and free kicks. Don't believe what you read in the newspapers do your own research. Shearer scored 56 penalties, take those away he is only ahead of Cole by 17 goals and Shearer scored his fair share of free kicks as well.
