Macing is the better choice for bard. U need those armor breaks, and drop tracking for arms lore to 80. Gives u 40 free points which can be used eventually for 120 chiv and extra music/peace if needed. Also dont feel forced to go the expensive lyric route if ur not planning on staying bard forever. Barding success rate will be good enough with decent instrument soloing.
I am happy with my bard so far, though I wish I had listened and picked macing and ditched healing and provocation for the tracking and alchemy. I am at Urukton Bluff now and having blast so far. I also got uoclassic to work with OSI, so a nice 60fps and quality of life over there on Formosa too. Thanks.
These days, I currently have 120 music and peacemaking, 105 discordance (seems to stick 95% of the time on mobs that bard break peace regularly) 100 Mace, 80 arms lore, 80 forensic for bard buff, dmg bonus and leather up to bronze (although at 75 skill you could still get bronzehide). Then I have left over points for alchemy for longer potion duration an better heals/cures.
Thank you for this- super helpful. I have musicianship, discordance, peacemaking and provocation, like a “traditional” bard. Any advantages to having included provocation, or is this skill not as useful if already have peacmaking? Just going off your comment about avoiding provocation at the beginning of the video
I know it is a bit of a older video but the second build has 720 total and not 700 (Anatomy100, Tactics 100, Weapon 100, Chivalry 100, so that is 400 for all the 100 skill then 80 Arms Lore, 80 Parry, 80 Healing and 80 Magic Resist is 320, 400+320=720) I assume 60 magic resist is fine.
NIce builds but thats a shame about they setup bonus for gater skills, like lumber for axes and mining for big hammers but it don't wort u take out anatomy or tatics or arms lore... and the fact about be melee mean kill one by one if come 3 probably u i'll die and be mage sumoner necro u ill kill more and safer but the lack of good sumon like demon fire water make u spend alot in regs at u can buy a full book for 30 to 40k it's hard to find just the sumons scroll for sell wen u start
I dropped Armslore for Chiv and didnt really like it. I noticed a massive drop in my damage. The macing special really messes mobs up. I can see for a new player Chiv might be nice though
@@PwnstarrGaming I should have mentioned this was on my Bard/Dexxer. I would love to take Chiv on him but the only thing I could drop is Tracking. I did Make A discipline Wrestler that im playing now with Chiv.

What I meant is does ppl on outland will attack you on sight at every chance they have or most ppl look for semi-fair fight or tall to you if you grind at a spot they want. Will group of people will grief you and camp your body if you die? I dont mind pvp but im more of the type that like to mind their own buisness and pvp at will
@@metis_9 the mob would be peaced, so it won't be doing damage back. In the event you use a potion to heal or cure you will first have to disarm your shield. Causing a delay. Feel free to use a shield 🛡 you will gain more armor which is great! But at the cost of a delayed pot. Typically the idea is to NOT take damage. But its really up to you and choice!
With Tracking being able to Track reds and no mounts in dungeons it makes it ALOT easier to get away. I know when Im mining in the outer world I escape 90% of the time because I have GM tracking on my miner. I just hit my recall macro and im gone before they even knew I was their lol
I haven't been playing as much lately as I was. After the monster rebalance the bleeder build really, really weakened for me. Monsters I used to be able to fight now kill me very quickly. I can kill them easier on my non-aspected bard then w/ the warrior w/ tier 7 bleed aspect. Really kinda dampened my spirit. My gold per hour dropped by about half of what it was before. I still log in from time to time and run around cuzz it's fun, but I'm just kinda bummed out about how it's been going after the big patch.
That sucks to hear. Some of the places you ran past are now optimal farming spots and not everyone is funneled to the same 2-3 spots to farm. I hope you make it back buddy and / or find a new template to play. Was wondering where ya been brotha. Whatchya been playing lately? Anything?

I'm a big retro gamer so I'm always playing something from the 80's/90's, but Ghost of Tsushima has consumed me the last little while. It's really excellent. I probably just have to readjust what I farm. I used to farm the lich lords and pyro casters in ossuary.... now they wreck me! I need to find maybe a non-caster mob that I can kill somewhat quickly. I might need to break down and level up a mage so I can all those fancy summons I'm jealous of. ;) I'll make sure to pop in a stream this week and say hello! :)

@@LegendOfCalvas its got herding in this video so more than likely you'd wanna go pet based dmg. Command is the best suitable for that... but it'll be expensive. Death is another great inexpensive option and will help with necro abilities doing more for you.
I came back to playing UO last year after been away for 10 years, and its the same place as I love and remember.......Outlands looks completely different and don't recognise any of it, no disrespect to you, you play what ever gives you enjoyment but feels like someone took an orange, paint it green and call it an apple
For anyone thinking of joining this server...don't, I can't tell you how many times I die to some jackass in newbie dungeons...and it's always like 2 or 3 of them...if you don't have any friends willing to escort you around I would pick a different gam,, the game was better when you had a choice and when you were ready to pvp you could hop into a red gate...this getting ganked every day about 5 plus times a day while I'm trying to just do simple things and level will be the downfall to this server. And people wonder why no one plays this game.
That sucks you didn't enjoy the felucia (pvp) ruleset. I think there is a lot of Trammell (pvm) only servers out there you might enjoy. You can have and run 3 accounts at once.
You can't be in a dungeon w more than 1. You can't do tmaps w more than one. You can't pvp w more than one.

Outlands is full loot pvp. Lots of rp. But if you want rp and no pvp or little. Check out Requim

for a bard ; lyric will always win .
if not barding ; air will do more DPS until you get enough mastery chain links for high Swing Speed.
