This is wonderful! My g-g-grandmother was a Cambron. Her g-g-grandfather, Allen Cameron, came from Scotland to America in 1774. I love to think that he had his origins right where you were! Thank you for the informative video. Great as always!!

As a Cameron myself, I really enjoyed this video. Thank you Julie! I really appreciate all the research you do to share the history of each area you visit. It's fun to learn.

So was Allan Cameron buried there? He is my ancestor. I decend from his daughter Margaret Cameron MacLeod wife of Alasdair Crotach MacLeod 8th Clan cheif. Allan's mother was Mariot Macdonald of Keppoch decendant of John Macdonald Lord of the Isles and Princess Margaret Stewart daughter of King Robert ll. Thanks for the video.

Officially Allan MacDonald Dubh Cameron, XII Chief of Clan Cameron is buried in Kilmallie graveyard but there are also claims that he was buried where he was killed. On the hillside just north of Spean Bridge, near Blàr Odhar. A stone referred to as "Allan's Stone" is said to mark his grave.
