Here, we have a look at the remains of Guisachan House, and learn of the fortunes, and misfortunes surrounding the Majoriebanks family, who resided there. We also look at the gorgeous Golden Retriever, it's legacy, and beginnings in the area.

Indeed! Our Retriever was a gentle big soul, had a lot to deal with when the boxer pup arrived, and took it all in his stride!

The daughter was a real rebel .Good for her . Talking about them eating with their servants I remember... In 1978 in Ontario Canada when I was working on a dairy farm ,the farmer had imported Clydsdales from Scotland. The people he bought them from came over for a visit and made a comment to the farmers about me eating with them as that was still not done in Scotland. In fact you were not even allowed to engage in conversation and kept at a distance. I guess it all depends how much money one has. I was shocked to hear that . Suffice it to say I still ate at the same table with them I was not banished to the cellar. Awesome to hear about the dogs though ,I had no idea. Another excellent history lesson.
