    As a brazilian we have been born in chaos, hyperinflation, poverty... we can deal with it, nothing was given to us, and if by moving away from dollar it means we will have to endure it in the short run, so let it be... USA can apply 100% tariffs on India, China and Russia. Let’s see the effects of it. All those countries will retaliate with same tariffs on American products. American products are easily replaceable considering their cost. Countries like India import from America mainly defence equipments. India now has ability to manufacture in India itself. When it comes to China, it has huge trading surplus with USA as compared to just 35b to India. It will hurt China significantly. However, afrect on USA will be severe too because USA is imposing tariffs on India hence, they can’t replace all those imports from China from India if China retaliates with hefty tariffs. No other countries can supply raw materials that was imported by China so easily. Therefore, USA can’t afford to go against both China and India. Easy said than done. Trump tries with his mouth more than action

    Trump is highly strategic. The United States has the potential to become a self-sufficient economy due to its abundant natural resources, reducing the need for imports if domestic manufacturing is revitalized. Trump is well-positioned to leverage this advantage in dealing with BRICS nations, potentially compelling them to seek another "sucker" if they decide to replace the USD as the currency of international trade.

  • @vipinjosea
    @vipinjosea 18 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

    The USA is three times larger than India and more self-sufficient than any other country in the world. There is no need for the US to import anything. While there may be challenges during the transition period of bringing manufacturing companies back to the US, it's worth remembering that the US was once the manufacturing leader of the world. This can be achieved in no time.
    Another issue that may arise is a potential brain drain from India, China, and other BRICS countries once the US revitalizes its manufacturing sector. The US does not need to depend on other countries, whereas India relies on the US-not the other way around.

    Are there still any true liberals in the USA who have confidence in the strength of this great country???
    For those who believed that Donald Trump was a visionary, this is a disappointment. The American wars to maintain the supremacy of the unfair advantage of the dollar are not over. Trump seemed to want to focus on America, but by opting for an economic war against the BRICS he shows us that he has not understood what is at stake. The unfair advantage of the USA dates back to 1944 with the Bretton Woods agreements and without any more agreement since 1971 when Nixon denounced these agreements without giving up defending tooth and nail the supremacy of the dollar, him and his successors, militarily, economically (sanctions), with the help of soft power, corruption and influence in almost all the media on the planet, the activation of color revolutions, springs, and even terrorist movements (remember who put Bin Laden in the saddle for example). By making this choice, Donald Trump is choosing to continue wars, contrary to what he claims, and this contradiction demonstrates his lack of vision. Joining the BRICS initiative would have flattened many conflicts and thus contributed to calming the world. He could then have claimed the Nobel Peace Prize. How can you support the dollar's position when it is an unparalleled economic advantage when the US is a powerful country that has no need for this enormous advantage that has been undermining the very foundations of a healthy and fair global economy for too long. Ask yourself the question of DSK's ouster when he was about to launch such an international currency (I don't have the answer, but it seems to me a good subject of investigation given the timing). Are there still real liberals in the US? Real liberals would give up the dollar as an international payment currency and join the BRICS currency project or propose a real means of international payment that is fair and not tainted by the Triffin paradox.
