    These 2 TVS look almost identical and are great QD OLED tvs. To save money I would be happy with the S90C because my use case is in a dark or dimly lit room. Right now I have the 2022 S95B and I'm very satisfied with the TV. My TV is a little more than 2 months old and has had a few updates that improved the tv. I really think the S90C is value for money. 😊

    What are we really need is a 77 inch S 90 C versus 77 inch S 95C. Both would have the second generation panel. So the difference would only be the processing and maybe the heat sink quality.

    Interesting conclusion (for the price consider the A95L). My train of thought was that the S95c was priced basically to compete with the G3, but the S90c was the real threat of the war. Kind of like having the Main Character (The G3) distracted inside the Castle by the Final Boss (The S95c) meanwhile the lieutenants of the G3 (the C3 etc) are left defenseless at the gates to the S90c (the Mini Boss, with First Form power of the final boss, lol). All that said, great video man 👍🏾.

    • @floz9718
      @floz9718 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nicely put😆
      I found that particular conclusion of KG really good as well. If I were to pay ~5500 bucks for the S95C, I would definately go all in, save up another 1000 and go straight for the A95L - which seems to be the pretty much be all end all TV for the foreseeable future in terms of picture quality whereas the S95C still has some issues there (inferior processing - especially for low res/bitrate content but also motion, which is very important for good quality content as well), there is no Dolby Vision and generally less accuracy OOTB and after calibration.
      So the S90C is definately the way to go here; it has 90- 95% of the PQ of the S95C (which also probably has only ~90% of the PQ of the A95L) but for way less money (in my country the S90C in 77" is 2000.- bucks cheaper than the S95C!!)

    • @floz9718
      @floz9718 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Ustaleone Yeah I agree. I'll probably get it at BF. It's certainly not the best for my application (movies, TV shows via streming and blu ray), a Sony or Panasonic (like I have now) would be preferable for that but a S90C is less than half of the A95L! So the Samsung should serve as a bridge for the next 2-3 years before I can hopefully invest in a 83" QD-Oled with matured tech that will last me 5-10 years....

      It all depends on the price for me , even $200 makes alot of difference In my perception of which Is worth It over the other , but right now i'd personally take the A80L for the processing / natural accuracy (unless you prefer exaggerated pop) , superior sound quality , superior motion (opinions vary). I guess It depends how Important gaming Is to you vs everything else , but I don't see A80L being called too bad of a gaming tv either. S90C will win color richness and prob be a little bit better gaming tv though.

      @@Brytech1216 thanks for the tips. It's not that I don't like motion processing though, it's that it doesn't do it that well. You need a little bit so you don't get noticeable stutter in panning shots. I can't get an optimal level of interpolation (for me) without introducing some artifacts, so I find myself striking a balance between stutter and haloing but always getting at least some of one or the other, depending on the content. I know some purists are fine with 0 interpolation but that looks as bad as max to me. My 8 year old mini LED had an easier time, so it is disappointing to not see only improvements across the board. It's possible my perfect TV just doesn't exist yet, or maybe a firmware update if I'm lucky.

    For the $1000 (avg.) price difference, I'm going with the S90C (64" model). Lack of one-connect and less quality speakers has no impact for me, as the TV will be run through a Onkyo AV receiver with real Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 speaker setup in my room. $1000 buys me a super quality sub with wireless to add to my setup (RSL Speedwoofer 12S). I only wish there was a 70" model, as 77" is just a tad too large to fit.
