I smelled this fragrance in store last week, at first I didn't think it was special. The opening is a bit spicy synthetic, kinda reminds me of ice cold Coca Cola somehow. But I took the test paper with me and was wondering what smelled so beautiful, clean and feminine the whole to. It was the fragrance that developed into a soapy floral warm scent, it honestly smells like you used a mixture of luxurious shampoo, body wash and cream in the shower and the lingering fresh but creamy scent afterwards is the same as Crystal Noir.
It was so long lasting I could smell hints of it following me a day or two, every time I wore the coat with the test strip.
I couldn't stop thinking about it but the price tag kept me from buying it at first.
Now I have watched quite a few videos since then where people are raving about the coconut scent.
I tried searching if Versace has changed the formulation or if it there's a different EU version but couldn't find any official statements as well.
The EdP and EdT smell almond identical to me too and I can't find any coconut, the german Versace website just has the EdT and lists mainly spices and flowers, the same you have found.
I couldn't resist anymore and bought the EdT and today. I was too excited, used 3 sprays and you are right, it is very strong and was too much for me. Somehow the sharp scent on my skin in the opening gave me an itchy feeling on my lungs s:
Now after several hours the spicy scents have faded and the warm, clean and soapy fragrance is most apparent which I love. I'll definitely recommend using it sparingly and giving it time to develop.

I had the same experience when getting a sample strip from the mall of the EDP. Let me tell you, the EDP and the EDT are not the same at all. I bought the EDT because it was cheaper and I thought it would be the same scent, but it is NOT.

Has the Versace Crystal Noir edp in the new black and gold box been reformulated and weakened?
I'm not sure - there's no confirmed info about EDP reformulation, seems like most of it is just speculation. I also don't have any decants of the potential old formulation to compare.

@@raderedidisciplina8189 I am happy with what I've got, I actually much prefer this one over the EDT. However, without being able to compare the EDP to earlier releases I feel like I don't have all the data to say whether it’s weakened or even reformulated.

I bought the biggest bottle of the edp and i hate it! It makes me feel sick. Im so gutted :(
Aww 😞 this is definitely not a safe blind buy, I can easily see how it can give some people a proper headache…
Have you tried it during the warmer weather? If so, I would suggest you try it during the cooler weather. I used to feel the same with Oud Satin Mood.
For the life of me I couldn’t understand the hype and I absolutely hated it until I realized it was one of those “seasonal” fragrances. I can honestly say I went from disliking OSM during the warmer season and loving it
during the cooler weather. As for this fragrance Versace Noir EDP, I love it! I’m not too fond of the opening but I love dry down.
Also, I’m definitely a heavy sprayer but she doesn’t allow you to do so. She’s very unforgiving lol.
