Hi Arlene!! I just wanted to leave you an appreciation comment. I’m usually a silent watcher, but I absolutely love your videos. I love that you are truly one of the only genuine fragrance reviewers that just loves fragrance. You’re honest, and you’re realistic. You don’t shove these fragrances down your viewers throats to buy. I know when you tell us you love something, that you actually do. You’ve taught me a lot. I’ve saved quite a bit of money after watching your videos, as you have shown me the importance of having samples and testing before you buy. I don’t have that guilty feeling in my gut anymore after buying a perfume I never smelled in my life, but some TH-cam told me I need to have it. You’re my fav fragrance channel! I hope you’re doing well during this hectic time in the world!!

I slightly like the EDP version more, it's more complex and subtle; more warmer, spicier, coconutty and creamy (it reminds me very much of my beloved first omnia - the brown one) but the EDT is more prominent, lasts longer, smells stronger and it has something of a fresher aura. They are both very interesting, so much alike but also different. I have them both but I use the EDT more often simply because the EDP doesn't last long and it's sadly a weak fragrance in comparison to EDT (on my skin). To me the bottle is very unique, the color suits the fragrance completely and the big "stone" is beautiful.
Have you tried the EDP new batch in a black and gold box and what are your impressions?
they ruined this... yhe gold box is ruined.. no gardenia no coconut no creamines anymore guys
Both the edt and edp are good ! Always get compliments when I where one or the other . People ask me what im wearing . These are men magnets for sure 🖤

@@raderedidisciplina8189 girl I do not like it. On the new reformulación I can smell the pepper a lot more I think they ruined it.
I blind bought it and I wasn’t too impressed to start with, but it has grown on me. I am really enjoying it atm 😊
The EDP is darker, richer. It's that coconut note. Very captivating.
Yes, I have to agree; also love the EDP! Great compliment getter...very sexy and great in the fall/winter months. I'm on my 2nd or 3rd bottle.

But it is ruined. This year is comes with black gold box and the scent is alcoholic sharp and watered down. I asked the SA what is happening and she said many customers said it and didn't buy....
I have worn the EDP version for years, I love it and always get so many compliments when I wear it. This is one fragrance that I always find myself going back to. I find it to be a rich, creamy, sweet floral scent; I personally love it.

I love the coconut in the EDP version! 🥥 And my husband always compliments me most when I wear it. ❤️
i own this and i don't smell any coconut at all. i have no idea what anyone is talking about.

@@mantronixtube I’ve never smelled either. I’m just going by what reviewers say so that’s interesting. Now I feel the need to try them. Thanks.
@@mantronixtube I agree. What coconut? I think it is a mix of sandalwood with something.
I like the EDT version far more than the EDP.

@@AlexaCaraThe EDP version has more of a coconut note. I am not a big fan of coconut in fragrances. I think it smells too synthetic. But that’s my opinion. Other people like it.
I have both, and to me, they smell almost identical. The edp has a bit more prominent coconut scent-which I am not fond of...and it has been discontinued. I find that the edt actually projects more, lasts just as long, is a bit fresher(the ginger), and is a proper compliment getter...men goes crazy over this one😁
Ohh I wasn't aware it was discontinued. I hope I can get my nose on that one :)

Just tested this today. On me it smells like one spray of Tom Ford santal blush ( creamy sandalwood) mixed with one spray of Diptyque Philosykos (fig, coconut).
It's got to be my favorite Versace fragrance. It's a warm fragrance, with a slightly spicy Gardenia scent on me and it's comforting and a little mysterious at the same time I love wearing the EDP in the Autumn and Winter month's with a cosy sweater or a shawl wrap. This EDT version also sounds creamy but alot fresher. I do like jasmine and frangipani so I'll have to sample it 🐱.Always love your reviews.
This is the most mysterious fragrance! My bottle of the edt is a tester and has the notes written on it as: Cardamom, Pepper, Ginger, Gardenia, Peony, Orange Flower, Amber , Sandalwood, Musk. I have both old and newer formulations and can smell these notes, so it's odd that your sample has different notes written on it. May I ask If that's an older sample from your vintage ones you had? The other mystery is the coconut note that some seem to smell and some don't and it's not listed. I also have the Edp version but both have a coconut smell to me.
I’ve just purchased the new formula that comes in the black and gold box, smells less spicy than the older version
also not creamy anymore and no coconut and gardenia..ruined it
I have the EDT version of Crystal Noir and I like it. My favorite perfume in the Versace Crystal line is Bright Crystal Absolu followed by the OG Bright Crystal. You should do a video about perfume bottles that can be used as weapons. 😂

This fragrance was so highly recommended to me by friends because I like some very eclectic fragrances. I purchased it and I hated it. This is the second Versace fragrance I’ve blind purchased and hated. You would think I’d stop blind buying, but I don’t have any stores near me to test fragrances.

I blind bought the edp and the strong pepper note really bothers me. I have worn it once. I will probably give it away
ooh now that the edt notes have come out I realised I definitely can smell the fruity opening in the edt. I think thats why I love the edt more than the edp! The strange thing is though, I smelt a bottle of the edt at a store and it smelt extremely soapy and unpleasant, and then i smelt another bottle of the same edt in a different store and it smelt incredible and thats where I bought it from. I wonder why it smelt so different at the different stores. anyway im just glad my bottle smells so incredible.
Hmm...could be a refomulated bottle or it went bad? I've had the same experience with other perfumes in different stores as well.
I agree with the soapy notes in it, I got the same impression first smelling it at a store, but after drying down the soapiness of it started fading away
So glad to see you've gotten to this line. Please please try Versace Yellow Diamond Arlene I'd love to hear your take on it !! ......I adore that one. Lemon Mimosa so fresh and uplifting and especially wonderful in hot weather ☆☆☆

I used to own the first edt version, very savoury, coconut and spice with hella gardenia.
I recently got the edp, it's a bit sweeter, more frangipani florals and still with the coconut, despite people saying its not a note. But it could be the fig and florals tricking my nose.
Very strong, I do enjoy it but have to be in the mood for it as its one of them ones that stay pretty much the same from start to finish so can be tiring
Me and my hubs love the edt version. He hates the edp because it has a lot of spices and he says it smells like a spice market :/
To me EDT & EDP smells quite similar or identical to each other. It's just EDP has a little bit more... intense, maybe... About the name, i think it is meant to be bright like crystal (i mean crystal/diamond) even though it has quite heavy dose of spiky spices. Fresh yet quite rich spiciness... if you know what i mean... i don't know how to explain 😅😅😅 but that's what i feel whenever i smell/wear it
Versace Yellow Diamond is my signature scent. I always get compliments with it. I do want to try this Noir. Maybe it will be a good winter fragrance
Same with yellow diamond, it's a very nice signature scent. Versace crystal noir edp, fair warning, is pretty heavy and two sprays on the skin goes a long way....I almost gagged and had to wash it off my skin because it's so strong. Something about either the pepper or the black currant makes me nauseous but the dry down is very nice.
If you like the yellow Diamond, you will like the Bright Crystal and the Bright Crystal Absolu. They are all soft.
I purchased this early in the summer.. i have worn it in the evenings however I am not the biggest fan. It’s pretty but doesn’t knock my socks off.. I will continue to wear it but would not repurchase. Thankfully I only bought a small bottle
A few years ago this one was a scrubber for me and an instant headache. May get brave and spritz again sometime because I like all of the notes individually.

I'm not in love with this one. I think it's the sandalwood that turns me off. It's a note that I sometimes find irritating and harsh when it's fairly dominant. I have learned that I need to sample sandalwood domninant fragrances...especially when they are described as creamy.
Lovely review. I like EDP version of the perfume. I have just purchased Alaia Nude recently which is supposed to be a dupe for this perfume and I love it 😍 It is so much well blended and it’s sweeter, more coconuty. Absolutely beautiful! Give it a try if you are not sure about Crystal Noire.
alaia nude is a dupe for crystal noir edt or edp?Also, have you tried both Alaia nude and the crystal noir and can attest to that or just the alaia?*ps a cheap alternative for crystal noir edt is the montana 80s which I have mentioned in another comment here-it is actually pretty similar it just doesn't quite reach the intoxicating powderiness of the original non-reformulated version of the crystal noir edt
@@irenelalouve2679 To me it’s more like EDT, it’s got the same DNA,same creameness but a bit more coconut. The projection isn’t great but I just overspray it and it does the trick. Personally I prefer Alaia…even the bottle is nicer.

this fragrance is not creamy or subtle or fruity or sweet. it's very very dark and very strong and very perfume-y.
I had the mini set of that perfume. I didn’t like it much for some reason it depressed me when I smelled it. I know that’s weird but it did.

I only tried Versace Crystal Noir EDT two weeks ago in a store. I never tried it before because I hate the large cap design. I did get a compliment. I like it but it is not a love. It is okay.

I feel the same about the scent. To me it was so cold and artificial.
I have edp versionWhen first got this i wasnt crazy for it because there was this sharp bugspray aroma but it faded somewhat quickly .i got no coconut especially the way ppl were putting this in there coconut videos like it was the backbone.i ended up giving it to my 19 yr old she loved it.and when smelt it on her i liked it almost a samsara vibe maybe the sandalwood.so she over sprays and 3 mos go buy she only has a little left and i tried it again .weirdly that Sharp bug spray smell was gone ? So i just this week ordered her another bottle for her birthday.gave it to her early same edp.she opened it we both sprayed it and bam!! Bug spray! She cant detect this at all.so i took her old bottle .sprayed it on other wrist to compare and thank goodness im crazy she noticed the old bottle was sweeter and more powdery which she describes the so called bug spray that im smelling. A fresh note. But thats wha i got from it. its love at the end of bottle. For me. it smells good its reasonably priced.just wish i could detect the coconut.

Hello! Would you say the EDT is long lasting on you? I bought mine around a month ago and I absolutely love the scent however it just doesn’t last. I barely get an hour on my skin until it disappears.
you have the reformulated version as it is usually the practice of all perfume houses. I have the original which projects and lasts all day-it lasts on clothes too and it is powdery and intoxicating-it fills a room with a beautiful warm cosy aura and it is amazing in colder weather (best suitable for winter season)

@@geetikachakravarti1466 you are welcome*yes, I have the pre-reformulation bottle*and I know how dissapointing this practice is from the perfume houses- if it isn't exactly the original formulation why release it under the same name and not make it a flanker or sth?to me, it is unethical

That is NOT the edt that’s it’s the edp the caps are as follow the smaller cap is edt the large cap which is what you have is edp
