Excellent! I'm sure that's a blast. With power it really comes alive, I've been fortunate to borrow 3 different ones all with slightly differrent mods and they have all been some of the best handling RC's I've driven, easy to drift on the power in huge sldes when you want to, or just dig in to the grip and corner on rails! In writing this I am talking myself into buying one, I've just had a huge clear out and am looking to restock the fleet over the next few weeks.
I'm waiting as the rate they're doing new releases I can see them coming out with a new rally/slash 4x4 platform as the platform this is based on has to be a decade old. Great car but I'm thinking a VXL version may be coming soon. Thoughts?
Driftomaniacs that would be amazing, but who knows if they would even going to try to do that in the near future seems like the slash has it under control for the moment.
This is the latest spec one and has got new suspension arms and these new tires make a hell of a difference. Wet grass was a non starter with the old one. Mind you it may need new tires after that blacktop session!
Is this car completely stock? Or other mods? I just purchased the Deegan version, upgraded it to 32p slipper/spur, Hobbywing SCT brushless combo, better shocks and stuff like that. I was wondering what i could do to make it more 'rally'. You can find a lot of Slash 4x4 bash/race setups but not that many 'rally' setups. Basically what diff oil, positions of the shocks, shock oil and stuff like that.
I will ask Al at my LHS as his (in another video) was one of the best handling cars I'd driven. Fitting sway bars seemed to make a huge difference, very driftable at speed.

What gear ration on the pinion? And the spur gear?

looks like it handles well.
It gets more grip on the grass than the older version, they've changed the suspension arms and these tires have way more grip

Check out our speed test videos of it. We've not hit the traxxas peak speeds of 60 plus but it hits 50 plus with some ease

Sorry should have said yes this one was stock, Al's in the other video is heavily modified
