I feel like Dodge could collaborate with that guy who made the engine simulator that was all over TH-cam a few months ago. It was able to simulate engine sounds incredibly well and it didn't sound cheesy. The ability to select different sounds also seems essential... One days I'm feeling a V8, the next I want a twin turbo I6, and maybe I just want to turn it off altogether when I'm trying to get away from the police 😂

Dodge went from building a 700hp suv that sounds like a beast to an electric car that sounds awful. The normal hellcat sits around the 60 to 70 grand mark give or take. What's this gonna be closer to 100k ?

If they were going to try and force sound into an electric car, they should have just played Hellcat engine audio through some speakers instead of this Dyson shit.

That’s not a bad idea actually….like a separate turbine that spools up and down based on load of the electric motors-amplified and made really bad ass…..not just a “speaker driven” system

This is the closest you get to having soul in an electric car. As much as I don’t really like electric cars, this one is neat and is definitely more qualified for its position than the Mach E mustang

You know what’d be cool? If a company kept basically everything, driveshaft, transmission and all, but took out the engine and put an electric motor where the crankshaft would be. That way, you have a motor which behaves like a gas engine and a car that still drives and shifts like an ICE. Dunno about supplementing sound, but driving feel can be done.

Electric motors aren't "virtually silent" - they make a pretty distinctive sound but manufacturers opt to quiet that down with sound-deadening...

They should have done several sound options you could choose from. Like sound themes or other engine sounds and exhaust combos
How are the door panels and other interior panels? Will they separate from the car and leave gaps like previous models?
I think a cammed HEMI thru some glass packs would be a good sound track, not this electric drill motor 2 octaves lower. Electric motors are the most efficient method to move us around but no character, no soul.

Most efficient method? Mate, our electric tipper truck at work only gets 100km before needing to be charged. It gets through half a days work before being utterly useless.
