I love this quilt. I also love this video. I’m not techy enough to have the correct terminology but the entire package is impressive. The music. The editing. The extra bits. All combined with the actual content creatively makes a really fun video. Great job.
This is such a cute quilt. I know this is off topic but I think you have great hands for these videos. They’re so pretty and make watching your videos even more enjoyable. I know it’s a random comment but I think of this every time I watch you sew.🤷♀️🤦♀️
OMG! I so missed this box. I had a subscription for this but had to pause it because I had more than enough to sew. Just recently got back to some of them preparing for the Refresh Retreat in Waller, TX.
I have to tell you that this was a special box that I preordered from The Ginger Quilter. It was not the regular monthly box. She is opening up orders for a Christmas box soon too actually! I believe Fat Quarter Shop still is accepting Halloween mystery box orders right now if you're dying to snag one -- but I have zero insight as to what that one includes 🎃 PS - I can not WAIT to see you at the retreat! 🥰
Love the way you organised your bundles. It’s nice to see how other people do this. That tea drop might taste great but it looks like a dog biscuit! 🐶 🍪 😂 I love it when a project comes together like this. It’s like everything in the heavens aligned for you. Your quilt looks fabulous I can’t wait to see how you quilt it. That spell fabric will make a great binding.
Didn't think I could make a quilt like this. After seeing your video I feel confident.. the box is packed with fantastic fabric and fun things. Thank you
What an adorable quilt! You always make things look so easy. I guess it’s because you show us how to do things the “easy way”. I tend to make things difficult for myself, lol. Keep up the great work, you are very much appreciated.
Nicely Done!! I agree with you about the border....but just a simple one to help it all stand out....maybe just a black border....will help your binding stand out as well. Does not need a super wide border though! I just love listening and seeing you! Awesome- Pam
Awesome! You'll have to chime back in after you've tested it out and let me know what you think! I love them all! -- And I know that the Houston Quilt Festival is in a few months... so I'll probably collect them all just because 🥰
What a great video! I think all that yumminess would look good framed in a bit of black border so the hexies are floating & then maybe a narrow of that Purple-y Pink & Orange print between that & the binding. Very inspiring, thank you 😊
I love it! And I’m so happy to have seen you putting this together. It makes it much more approachable. Now boo has moved much higher up on my to do list. Thanks.
This was so fantastic to see. I love that you already picked some of these fabrics so it says this is right up your alley. I quilted a Halloween quilt with a giant spiderweb and I thought that was pretty great. After completing 2 fall quilts, I just started a Christmas quilt. 😂
I love Flatter, too! I could see a border all the way around on this quilt. Thanks, too for timing it. I've not sewn as much as you, so I think it might take me longer, but it's still very achievable.
Love the quilt. The pattern would be great with Christmas fabric. I like your channel because you always look nice. You dress in nice cloth, pretty make up and your hair is styled. This makes watching the video more fun and it looks professional. Thank you,
I love this!! And I love all rhe creative edits and extras you added! So entertaining. When are you writing a book? Or better yet your own TV show?? 😂❤🎉
What’s that RGB light on your sewing machine? I NEED ONE! I love all the fabric! And the garland set and the salt and pepper shakers! I love how you organized your strips by blocks! I’m ocd and that will probably help me whenever I end up making my first quilt! And thank you for showing us your spooky fabric collection! Everything is so cute! The quilt top came out so cute! 🕸️💀👻 I can’t wait to see more of your spooky sewing!
I loved this video! Someone recently asked me how long it took me to sew a quilt, and my response was, it depends on how lazy I am.😂 I think I'll start timing my quilts, just out of curiosity.
I have a whole playlist on subscription boxes: th-cam.com/video/v3XAqqw_U2Q/w-d-xo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB It really depends on what your personal style is and if you are looking for a project based box or a fabric stocking box - there's so many options out there!
I have several different brands of rulers - My favorite Gadget Girl Rulers are no longer in business anymore, sadly.... but there are some copycat ones out there that are still the green acrylic including ones from Missouri Star on Amazon - You can find them here: amzn.to/4eclUcQ
I probably would not add a border. The reason I say that is because I have a log cabin quilt top that did not call for a border, and I added a small border, and it looks terrible. That quilt top has been lying around unfinished for years. I plan to take the border off before I finish that quilt someday.
i PURCHASED FLATERS AND i LOVE IT. Question I am making a quilt for a lady, now she is not paying for it, not one cent towards any of it. I ask her what color she liked she said purple. So I got purple strips started a braid quilt. I had this beautiful lavender with paint marks on it that were deep purple an white. This was the edging of the quilt, she doesn't like pink and hung up on me. I decided I am not going to spend three hours stitch ripping it out. What would you do?
Applique at least one cartoon (like) spider on that light colored hexagon, for good luck. A cartoon (like) spider shouldn't freak anyone out. Make another one of these quilts in Christmas prints and colors; and, applique Santa on the light colored hexagon. You could use that pattern to make a quilt for any time of the year. Yes, I love your quilt top; but, put something on that light colored hexagon.
Lol Houston, Texas. 😆 I'm also wearing shorts. It's super light material. I like feeling cozy? I'm trying my hardest to bring in fall all by myself LOL
I love this quilt. I also love this video. I’m not techy enough to have the correct terminology but the entire package is impressive. The music. The editing. The extra bits. All combined with the actual content creatively makes a really fun video. Great job.
That really means so much, it makes all the work so worth it! Thank you!!! 😄🤩
This is such a cute quilt. I know this is off topic but I think you have great hands for these videos. They’re so pretty and make watching your videos even more enjoyable. I know it’s a random comment but I think of this every time I watch you sew.🤷♀️🤦♀️
Well that is so sweet of you. I'll take the compliment 😁
This is so fun! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Congratulations on completing your quilt top so quickly. It is very encouraging to know how much we can accomplish in bits of time. It all adds up!!
Thank you so much!
I would do a black border around the quilt to act as a frame AND to show of the white binding fabric. Adorable quilt😊
Thank you so much Melodied.
I love Flatter!! ❤ The smell alone gets me!! ❤
LOL...it is the best.
I absolutely love, love this quilt! It is so cute! I can’t believe you were able to put it together so quickly!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much! It was really fun to time it and see how long it took.

What a super fun project!!! 😍

🎉❤❤ love it.
That is so much prettier than the representative pic on the pattern!! Well done Christen! 🎃👻🧡
That is so sweet!
I love it, you could embroider BOO!
Yes, that is a good idea.
Wow that is a great quilt
Very colorful
Love it!!
Nicely Done!! I agree with you about the border....but just a simple one to help it all stand out....maybe just a black border....will help your binding stand out as well. Does not need a super wide border though!
I just love listening and seeing you!

Enjoying the replay ❤
So glad!
Gosh I want this one too
❤❤ Looks pretty straight forward. Yep you need a big 😅😅 Bat or Spider on that open block with the Boo. 😊😊
I have to get some of this flatter stuff. I would definitely add a border or two.
Great job!
a border... or TWO... YES! Great minds think alike! 🥰
Christen, I think a border would be cute. Very pretty. You're the best. You're an inspiration. ❤
That is so kind of you Maggie! Thank you for watching and sharing.
Looks great!

Pineappple....the yellow one. That's what I ordered!
Awesome! You'll have to chime back in after you've tested it out and let me know what you think! I love them all! -- And I know that the Houston Quilt Festival is in a few months... so I'll probably collect them all just because 🥰
This quilt is super fun!!!!!
Thank you for the love! I had a blast making it, and it's awesome to see others enjoying it too!
Love it!!! My birthday is on Halloween. I should make this quilt for myself!!!!
You should!
What a great video! I think all that yumminess would look good framed in a bit of black border so the hexies are floating & then maybe a narrow of that Purple-y Pink & Orange print between that & the binding. Very inspiring, thank you 😊
Thank you for watching and sharing those ideas. I love them.
Amazing ❤
Thanks 😄
You made that look so easy 🎉
Luv flatter..
I love it! And I’m so happy to have seen you putting this together. It makes it much more approachable. Now boo has moved much higher up on my to do list. Thanks.
YAY! I hope you give it a try. 🥰
Love it!
Thanks!!

After completing 2 fall quilts, I just started a Christmas quilt. 😂
I think Holiday quilts are really so fun to make.
Love your enthusiasm, , crazy lady Australia
Thank you so much for watching!!
Hi Kristen!! That fabric is adorable!!! Love how it turned out!! Im finally able to get back into videos again now that summers almost over
YAY Marie, I am so glad you are back.
I love Flatter, too! I could see a border all the way around on this quilt. Thanks, too for timing it. I've not sewn as much as you, so I think it might take me longer, but it's still very achievable.
The timing really was an eye opener for me -- I will definitely be doing more of that in the future as a motivator. 🥰 Thank you for watching!
Love the quilt. The pattern would be great with Christmas fabric. I like your channel because you always look nice. You dress in nice cloth, pretty make up and your hair is styled. This makes watching the video more fun and it looks professional.
Thank you,
Thank you so much! That really means a lot!!!
Such a cute quilt and I love that you gave us the exact time it took!! And yes a border would really set off those hexis!!😊
It was a fun project for sure.
Adorable!
Beautiful!
Just ordered my first bottle of Flatter. Can't wait for it to get here.
Yessss! You're going to love it 💕
I love this!! And I love all rhe creative edits and extras you added! So entertaining. When are you writing a book? Or better yet your own TV show?? 😂❤🎉
Oh my! I haven't thought about all that, but that would be so fun. You all make this worth it, and even that much more fun.
What’s that RGB light on your sewing machine? I NEED ONE! I love all the fabric! And the garland set and the salt and pepper shakers! I love how you organized your strips by blocks! Cute quilt.
Very nice quilt you did well have a nice day
Thank you. I hope your day is wonderful!
What a cute quilt and the fabric is so cute? Was it all from the same line and do you know what it was called? Great job!
Yes to a boarder. But not in black or orange. Use one of those odd fun colors in the quilt. Like the purple 💜
LOVE IT !
Thank you for that suggestion!!
I am totally loving your videos! So glad I found you. And fyi the words on the fabric are from Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Thank you for sharing that.
I loved this video! Someone recently asked me how long it took me to sew a quilt, and my response was, it depends on how lazy I am.😂 I think I'll start timing my quilts, just out of curiosity.
It really was an eye opener for me.
Thank you Im a newbie to quiltinf and just discovered your channel .havent dived into subscription boxes yet what are your top 2
I have a whole playlist on subscription boxes: th-cam.com/video/v3XAqqw_U2Q/w-d-xo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB
It really depends on what your personal style is and if you are looking for a project based box or a fabric stocking box - there's so many options out there!
Hi! I was wondering where you got your brightly colored rulers? I checked your Amazon store but didn't see them there.
I have several different brands of rulers - My favorite Gadget Girl Rulers are no longer in business anymore, sadly.... but there are some copycat ones out there that are still the green acrylic including ones from Missouri Star on Amazon - You can find them here: amzn.to/4eclUcQ

That quilt top has been lying around unfinished for years. I plan to take the border off before I finish that quilt someday.
I have mobility issues and can't stand very long. Do you sit to cut as it looks like you sat to iron?
Yes you totally can sit to cut, I do both.
i PURCHASED FLATERS AND i LOVE IT. Question I am making a quilt for a lady, now she is not paying for it, not one cent towards any of it. I ask her what color she liked she said purple. Donate it!
I am so sorry that happened. I would keep on making it for a friend/family member or donate it to a senior center. They would love it!!!
I spy Cinder-Ellie's friends with a key. ❤
🥰👠🥰 I wondered if anyone would catch that I purposely panned down far enough to show off my Disney-flair 🥰👠🥰 If you know, you know!!
I loved seeing Jaq and Gus-Gus carrying the attic key to Cinderella!! 🐭🗝️🐭
❤❤❤
Im not a bug Halloween girl but I like this. For me Id like a black cat in the hexi rather then Boo! And I always love a border!❤
Thank you for these ideas.
I just finished a quilt called "Stairway to Cat Heaven". It is going to be a Christmas present for a cat-loving family member.
That sounds so perfect!
Love this💕💕💕🧵
What do you do with your quilts ? My family isn't interested in my quilts 😢
I keep some, gift some, maybe sell if anyone is interested.
There’s appliqué to go on that hexagon it’s why it’s plain. It’s to get the word BOO appliquéd onto it. It’s mentioned in the video.
Thank you for these tips, great ideas for sure.
Border absolutely 😅
I absolutely love this quit!!!❤❤❤
Awesome to hear you love it! It was super fun to make! Thanks for watching! 🎉
I can't believe you are wearing a sweater, where do you live ?
Lol Houston, Texas. 😆 I'm also wearing shorts. It's super light material. I like feeling cozy? I'm trying my hardest to bring in fall all by myself LOL
