My condolences on losing your friend Alex, so heart wrenching. I wish peace & comfort to you & your DS family & of course to her family.
Excellent advice! I preach how any WLS is forever or not at all. I hope this video reaches every pre & post op patient. WE all have to make sure to get into our surgeon on the regular & get those levels checked so we know we are on track with our proteins & vitamins.
Congrats on your exercise & marathon, you are a beast with that , so awesome! I wish the exercise bug would bite me, I hate it !! I'm a javaholic too! I put genepro in mine but I also have CLIC, I love it, it's an expresso protein....have you ever tried that? Excellent food choice too, made me drool a lil lol. I'm just over 3 weeks out from my revision, so, still on soft for another week! I'm slowly working up to getting all my liquids in, I do great on protein, but ugh, so hard to get a lot in @ this point yet. MY original RNY, I remember it took a good 2-3 mos to get there, hopefully, not that long this time. I try & get more in everyday. Sip, sip, & sip some more!
Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family too Alex. :) Good to see you on here again & thank you for a great video & PSA. Again, my sincere condolences, God bless & comfort you all.

Cheryl Boltz Thank you sooo much, she was a sweet and inspiring person and I couldn’t believe that she was gone! I really hope this video reaches everyone as well bc this can happen to all of us no matter how far out we are. I’m sooo excited for you in your revision and pray that all goes well with healing. I have never tried the expresso protein, I’ll have too look into that!! As far as working out just remember you have to start somewhere and be consistent and before you know it you will be hooked! Especially being able to do it when before you couldn’t! Thank you soooo much DS Sister for commenting! Keep healing, sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk! Hope you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving 😊❤️

Good morning Alex. :) I almost spoke about the loss of our DSer on my video as well... I have had her and her family in my thoughts and prayers all week. Compliance on taking our vitamins & protein are so important. I feel like I've got a good handle on this, but it reminds me to stay diligent in all aspects of the life of the DSer! Thank you for sharing with our community.

SmilinsShrinking hey sweetie, it was so sad and shocking but reminds me how important it is to stick with the regimen no matter what. I too have been praying for them especially with the holidays upon us. Thank you for commenting, love you my DS Sister and wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!! 😊❤️

Everything you say is spot on. I had bypass 7 years ago and it is a lifetime commitment to maintain our health. Some people don't take it seriously enough. I know people who have lost their teeth and broken bones from not taking their calcium, and some who require infusions now their iron was so low. It's so sad.

Donna's Happy Place , yes it’s super sad! It’s almost like once they lost some weight that was it they were done. I know ppl who had procedures done and didn’t change one bit of their old life styles and had regained a lot of the weight initially lost. I tell ppl all the time, WLS is not a magic procedure, it’s not a quick fix!! It’s a LIFE TIME commitment that when followed right can be the best decision ever in life, but when you are not compliant it can be a scary nightmare that can cause you your life as we all know!! Thank you so much for commenting! I really appreciate your support! 😊❤️

I’m about to have my surgery on December 24. My insurance could not approve loop DS but only approved regular DS. So I was wondering how long was your common channel length

Benson Mbugua I’m glad all went well with the surgery!! I am surprised they are letting you go if you haven’t had regular bowel movement! If things don’t improve make sure you don’t hesitate and get checked out!! Remember now to Sip, Sip, Sip and walk, walk, walk!

Hello Fredy, First and foremost welcome to the Ds’rs bench 😃 Even though sounds like you are going through discomfort remember it’s temporary and will get better!!! Great question regarding vitamins. So they recommend that you the vitamins 3 times a day. However I’m in the medical field and have a hard time finding time in between the day so I take all of mine at one time in the morning except the Calcium bc You have to wait 2 hours after you take the initial vitamins bc the calcium will cause your body to block the Iron intake.
These are the vitamins I take.
3x Bariatric Advantage ultra multivitamins with iron
3x Ferrous Sulfate 325mg Iron supplement ( Pharbest brand on Amazon)
      3x B12 5000mcg ( kirkland/ costco brand)
      3x Biotin 10,000 mcg ( springvalley brand)
After 2 hours have past from the time I took the initial vitamins I take my final vitamin
3x Citracal Maximum Plus Calcium with D3, zinc, copper and magnesium. ( I buy these at Walmart)
Thank you for watching my videos, I’m here to help in anyway I can. I know you’re in pain right now, but remember the pain will go away and your new journey, outlook in life and health is before you. Remember why you’re doing this and use that motivation to continue pushing forward through the pain. Also be patient with yourself!! You will achieve your goals in time. Take it a day at a time and please please please don’t focus on the scale focus on strengthening your muscles, endurance and mindset. The scale numbers will fall on their own. Trust the tool we have!! 😊
