  • GPAA, Delta Gold Diggers and AMRA perform a massive clean up of two trash sites near Coulterville to protest over regulation. We met with the BLM (Mike Garrett) for the cleanup and it was wildly successful!
We have improved our sound, the music, the film quality and speed of the videos...in short, we heard you and are striving to have better videos.

Such amazing work! Certainly appreciated by this miner!!
Sad that it's such common place. I clean up smaller sites a lot. Just part of the job at this point... Worst part is it's not miners that do this stuff it's lazy people who want a few ride through life.
Thanks to all the good people fighting this fight! Please let me know when and where the next major clean up is and we will be there with a smile...

Now it's to stop jerks from putting more trash out there... Some people think just because there's no where to legally dump their oversized junk without coasting them money. So they figure they can just haul it out there and dump it for free...
I personally feel that there should be a high enough of a fine given if someone is caught doing it along with a few weeks in the county jail. Maybe this jerks might think twice before they take a chance dumping their junk out there...

Ugggh its almost impossible. All around bass lake for a week I spent picking up all the crap the southerners brought up. Then the next week it was like I did nothing

Since you guys were able to do this, BLM could have done it too. Needed the prodding/political pressure do it. I've done hazmat as BLM staff and know it is possible. As you say, personal connections are essential. There are hazmat contractors who don't cost a fortune to remediate a site. As you know, dumping on public lands is a national problem. It does take the involvement of a motivated BLM or USFS person to get the District Ranger, or BLM Area Manager to support/fund the work.

Was it a miner who left that crap in the first place ???? The bond is a good thing by the looks of it .

You can see suction dredge pipes in the video. From what I can tell the guy was just squatting the claim. Maybe he tried dredging in the beginning but something happened to him and all that crap was left behind. The guy could've put his trailer up for the surety which is now worthless (thus the surety can't be fulfilled). From the video it took those guys two days to clean it up volunteering with large equipment. Doubt much here was covered. Hopefully the BLM pressed for the bond to be fulfilled and gave these guys the money from it. Been looking in to suction dredging from a side hobby perspective so grain of salt in my observations, just speculating.

@@joshcryer hello and thank you for your comments, I'm not American and our laws here are the same as Canada. We see from the video that it was a prospector who for whatever reason left that crap . This is totally unacceptable in any country. I've seen the mess left by panners over here and it's sickening. This whole thing reflects bad on our community. Shannon is right we need to leave no trace .☠👍👍👍⛏💙
