The "Tank you for your purchase!" image gives me the impression that they might be reusing the original concept for the below zero story, you used to be able to complete small objectives to receive supply crates from altera, maybe in this one you will actually have a currency system that allows you to buy items. I really liked the original below zero plot, so I think that's kinda cool
Another update, the one with the creatures face comes with a hexadecimal code that decodes into "waterslug", with the other ones just decoding into "water" and the egg looking one being "slug"

Hard to tell what they are thinking... What's obvious to billions is not always so for the echo chamber developers and their... narrative development and consultation studios that "educate" them.
@@broomybroomybroomy Below zero was fine. Not great, but fine. I enjoyed it enough as a DLC... if it was in fact a DLC then it was a pretty good one. It can't really stand on its own compared to OG Subnautica of course. I’d die for some reeeeally deep open ocean biome (depth >1000m) with scarce (but rich in variety) slow metabolism life, bioluminescence, translucence and, ofc, pure darkness and horror xD
Something else that's worth noting is what the year 2237 implies about this next game. In very old versions of Subnautica, the game opened with a lore dump spoken by the PDA. In this intro sequence, the PDA states that the Aurora's crash occurred "in the late twenty-second century." Admittedly, this intro also states that the Aurora was landing on 4546B to carry out a terraforming mission, whereas in the current story the Aurora was simply doing a drive by scan to search for the Degasi, so the canonicity of that old intro is debatable. There's nothing outright disproving that Subnautica 1 takes place in the late 2100s though, so I personally consider it to be a canon yet not officially stated piece of lore. If it is canon, then that means that this new game may be taking place somewhere between 40 to 60 years after Subnautica 1.
I downloaded a mod for the time capsules, to be less rare, found The last 2 screenshots. if you put the numbers after TC-, into hexadecimal, the first one says water second says slug and last says waterslug.
Bz wasn't that bad honestly, sure it wasn't as good as Subnautica but it was still a decent game. My main issue with bz was the map being so small, and if I recall correctly it's already confirmed that the map of Subnautica 2 will be even larger than in the original.
The fact that the game might have something to do with obraxis prime makes me feel like there's probably gonna be more cinematics/events to contribute to the lore. Im so exited

THEORY: Heres my head theory for this story, we're going to be continuing our journey from the original subnautica, for two main reasons, 1. We were given access to storage in our rocket, which was really weird because It was completely pointless as that would be the end of the game, nowhere else to head This would be a good point to continue off, If we decided to land on our new planet, So we'll be able to bring items from subnautica to subnautica 2 2. This also ties in with my second reason, subnautica's ending made it clear that we weren't able to land home as we needed to pay our debt, And of course we're not able to pay so we're kind of stuck floating around, So with that it would give us reason to look for a new place, a new planet, since our character was already able to live out his life in a dangerous world, there's no doubt we could do it again in somewhere more peaceful that we can actually choose we reach obraxis prime maybe due to us desperately needing resources, We would step out gather some materials and food And when we decide to go back to the rocket, there will be people and something that are not so human to, they could be ransacking the rocket while ripping it apart for materials, leaving it beyond repair, now forcing you into a situation where you need to stay and try to survive The reason why I could think that there could be some people here is that, It was never stated that the massacre ever ended, And with that I feel like it could also lead to situations where some people could join the massacre, inevitably creating a kind of war, and the idea where aliens could also join in this massacre, an amazing way to even do a crossover between their other game natural selection And from there it could also just lead to you either joining into the massacre or try your best not to hurt anyone All while trying to find out how to survive and leave I do hope you guys enjoy my theory, And sorry about this feels so far-fetched
I'm delighted to see Unreal 5 engine run the new Subnautica 2. I hope the gameplay is just like the original! I almost cried when I finished the first one, lol!
I want a Subanutica where i can explore the entire planet from the crater to the entirety of sector zero and all places on that planet. Seeing stuff that Riley and Robin left behind and even if Maida was still alive and kicking. One can dream 😁
The first subnautica was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. I enjoyed below zero although not nearly as much. I hope Subnautica 2 captures the same vibe and feeling the first one had. This is a game about loneliness and feeling awkward and stressed, not continuous dialogue like below zero.
I have 2 theories: The first one is that at 1:58 you can see that this swirly thing is surrounded a transparent casing with hints of light blue on it. Now, the only other time we see this weird casing is on the Floater. In case you don't know, the transparent casing on the Floater in not a part of the Floater, it's a bunch of small microorganisms mushed together that live in a symbiotic relationship with the Floater. So my theory is that the casing around the swirly thing is the exact same casing that's around the Floater. And if my theory is correct, then that means that the microorganisms around the Floater can live a symbiotic relationship with even more creatures than just the Floater. I’m not too sure if I’m correct on what I’m about to say, but if the next Subnautica game takes place on a different planet, and if my theory that the encasing around the swirly thing and the Floater are the same, then that means that the microorganism that form the casing aren’t just native to planet 4546B. My second theory is that at 2:20 you can see a plant in the background. My theory is that the reason on why the supposed leaves look like eels/underwater snakes is because that's how the plant defends itself by scaring other herbivores. (Something that I also noticed) On the first picture, you can see that the creature on the first image has got these weird plant-like tentacles growing out of it's back this is either to camouflage itself from opposing predators or to lure in small fish to eat. But that's not what I'm talking about. What I'm really talking about, is the fact that on the first image, you can see those weird tentacles growing out of it's back. And on the third one these tentacles are absent. This might imply that the creature can retract it's tentacles. Or it was just a mistake by the developers.
I hope there's a big emphasis on time capsules. It would make a ton of sense considering subnautica 2 will be more multiplayer oriented. Seeing trace remnants of other player activities would be cool. Maybe when players die they could leave a baggie another player could later find and obtain some of the items that player lost.
I can’t decide whether or not I’m going to try to stay away from subnautica 2 early access so I can experience the full release without knowing the leviathans and biomes. It would be pretty freaking hard to avoid honestly😂
I don't think they would be teasing us with full ass leviathans reveals but the early access stage of the development where half of the lore isn't even finished but you can already play the game is gonna be tough

Hello the last bacon I used to comment on your old videos with an entirely new account you can check your old videos for proof anyways you are one of my favorite creators and even though I haven't watched you in a pretty long time you'll always have a special place in my heart as being one of my favorite TH-camrs on this platform thank you the last bacon
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you sticking with the channel :)
@@TheLastBacon no problem I will continue to watch your videos probably forever
I actually love that the devs are doing this! I love how they never forget about their older projects and are constantly giving players a reason to come back, even when they have their hands full with a new game!
Same! Perfect way to get people back into the 1st game! :)
WE ARE FINDING ALL TIME CAPSULES WITH THIS ONE
Heck yeah! :D
Now imma make a billion scanner rooms just to find them
Heck yeah :)
I love the fact that they used the time capsules to make the teaser
Me too :)
I just got my first gaming PC. It’s able to run Sons of the Forest just fine, can’t wait to try it out when Subnautica 2 finally comes out!
Yay perfect :D
I’ve never seen any other game show teasers like this! I can’t wait 😂
This is super creative :)
Thats such a smart and a dick move to show these teaser images, if u wanna see it you have to play the game lol
I love it :D
Finally some of subnautica 2 info. Thanks, and maybe Obraxis prime is very connected to new subnautica universe game.
Maybe! :)
This is why subnautica is my favorite game. The devs are so good
Absolutely :)
Bro your channel is like gameplay, information, mods, challanges glad to see new video
A nice mix :)
@@TheLastBacon its your service =P
0:01 Absolutely banger timing on that sonar sound, fits the beat perfectly!
It's a part of the beat! :)
I'm definitely hyped to find out more about the architects :))
Same!! :)
This way of using time capsules to tease the upcoming game is so cool, can't wait for it to get released 🙌
Absolutely! Brilliant idea :)
I just think that it's so cool that you can find these teasers in the game! I am realy exited for subnautica 2!!
Absolutely! Great idea :)
No way we’re getting subnautica 2 before GTA 6 😭🙏
I believe so :)
Thank you for sharing. This is definitely keeping me interested. ❤
Glad I can keep you up to date! :)
Those pics giving me some "tropical" vibes??
Could be the next game is going to be "vacation went wrong" situation which I’m all in👀
Ooh maybe! :)
I would love to see a more complex game. Like having a huge base/smol city with actual NPC's, like scientists or something like that. Something more than "everyone is ded" or better aI in general. It's a really unique game with a lore that is really intersting.
I don’t lol having characters ruined bz
That would certainly be impressive :)
Such a clever way to use the time capsules by UW.
Totally :)
Thanks for the updates, I am very excited to play this game, the first two amazing and I’m curious to see where the Subnautica franchise in headed to in the future. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you! I’m super excited as well :)
they are cooking with this game and the marketing strategy
They most definitely are :)
Thanks for keeping us updated. I’m super excited to see how this game turns out!
I’m super excited too :)

Perfect :)
The time capsules are genuinely such a cool way to tease this
Absolutely! :)
I got the time capsule with that creature and it jumpscared me when I pulled it up lol.
Yoo that’s awesome :)
As someone who's been struggling to find time capsule this was a huge boost of confidence knowing I could get a new image
Yay :)
you are so cool man, how you manage to bring so many people to watch your videos even though subnautica isnt the most popular of games. Love your editing as well, keep it up!
Thank you so much! It’s all thanks to this incredible community :)
I just had a dream about time capsules lol, and now this.
Perfect :D
I can’t wait for subnautica 3 or 2 I really hope it’s super good once it’s in stores it’s gonna be chaos
I can’t wait either :)
Well well, time to pull out my scanner rooms
Yesss :)
I can’t wait hopefully doesn’t take long as Sliksong
Hopefully!! :)
I hope they improve the underwater lighting. have actual scattering etc
I’m sure they will :)
Imagine someone was trolling and the devs were just in on it and helped them troll
Would actually be kinda funny :D
@@TheLastBacon yeah lol and then we figure out that subnatica 2 was a prank and below zero is the sequel that we were waiting for
