I always love how the lyrics are 1) meaningful on their own, 2) loaded with puns, and 3) clearly indicative of having played and understood the game instead of just hopping onto the aesthetic. Quality as always.
Dang... When he's not writing about evil corporations and inescapable authoritarian systems, Stupendium can write some really emotional and existentially deep songs...
@Noah Petten 66 (STUDENT) tbh I never understood why shakespeare gets so much attention but stupes is overlooked, even though he's a million times better with wordplay etc.
@@ThePigeon5734 Well Shakespeare was pretty good with wordplay during his time, but it's been a couple years since then. Stupendium is basically just modern shakespeare
"Your flaws don't mean your broken they're just deeper shades of you" is honestly such a touching line. I love this song, keep coming back whenever I'm having a bad time and so far it hasn't failed to perk me up. God I appreciate you Stupendium.
"Though chance may choose our canvas, only we can paint the hues But your flaws don't mean you're broken They're just deeper shades of you" Art. Pure art. Not that I'd expect anything less from the Stupendium.
IKR, I loved it, I also didn't expect that for a music video about a third person shooter made by the people who made Spyro. (BTW, I don't know much about the games because I only have a PC, so for all I know that's what the games are about. It would be a drastic change from "Tiny dragon, go frolic over in the fields and save the world." I would love to play them if they made a PC port.)
@@kioombathekirbygoomba5346 Fox like humanoid with guns, travel to strange worlds, shoot badies with an array of odd and oddly humorous weapons, save the galaxy.
Me: just vibing to good "in the feels" song The comments: "I like this because I came out as trans!" Or, "I like this because it understands my PTSD!" Damn. I didn't know so many people could relate to a song like this. Something the Stupdendium is really good at is making songs for video games that sound like they could just be a normal mainstream song. Something that the video game fans will appreciate but anybody can relate to. The ability to articulate what you mean in such a way is impressive. Love it
“Though chance may pick our canvas only we can paint the hues, but our flaws don’t mean we’re broken they’re just deeper shades of *you* ” I am crying this is the most beautiful song
The video may be simpler than usual, but the song itself is so complex and personal, it hit me in a way I was not anticipating This has quickly become one of my personal favorites from you 💙
Honestly, same. This song gives me big "No Waves Like Home" vibes, and that one gave me a similar feeling. It's so unbelievably impressive that Stupes can go from evil corporate entity to powerful piece about how life is more than trying to fix your flaws.
This is what you consider a smaller project? Sure this video isn't as visually outstanding as your others, but that doesn't change the fact that this song is probably one of the best songs you've ever made. "And though chance may choose our canvas Only we can paint the hues But your flaws don't mean you're broken They're just deeper shades of you" That is a masterpiece of a line. You're a genius. If I say that quote to someone no one would guess it was from a Ratchet and Clank fan song.
Thank you! Size of project is always based on the video. Songs typically all take approximately the same amount of time to make, the scale of the video is how I judge size. :)
@@TheStupendium To be able to put out as consistently amazing music as you do in that kind of speed is truly incredible, but this chorus you've really outdone yourself. Nostalgia bombs generally aren't fair anyways, but this is fantastic. Thanks for this, as well as everything else. Looking forward to the coin being available again!
"Though chance may choose our canvas, only we can paint the hues / But your flaws don't mean you're broken, they're just deeper shades of you" This is the part that stood out the most to me. Didn't expect such a powerful motivational quote in the middle of the song!
This person can make song about a brick, And I’d still listen to it over and over. Great work on the song, I really love the R&C series, can’t wait for the next one!
"Though chance may pick our canvas" "only we can paint the hues" "but our flaws don’t mean you're broken" "they’re just deeper shades of you" Damn I was not ready for a hard life quote
Thank you for this song, Stupendium. Bipolar disorder often has me struggling with suicidal thoughts; this song is one I've added to my go-to playlist when I need to ground myself. It brings me tears of relief when I need it most.
The stupendium has no limits with what he can make... every good impact makes him love what he does and thanks to why did I say okie dokie? He started to become famous and his videos became better after that. Love the stupendium and his music.
Like everyone has already pointed out, this song has some pretty meaningful lines. I can’t tell you it solved my problems, but it made me realize not everything has to be perfect. I don’t know what was different about the way this song said it that made me realize, but it’s the first time I’ve felt content with myself. Thanks Stupendium, after two years I’ve finally found the perfect song for me. The song that I’m hoping will turn me around to a brighter look at life.
Obviously this song is about Rift Apart but this song has me “I’m gonna cry” levels of nostalgic for the entire series; the entire song for some reason feels super fitting for Crack in Time as well, my absolute favorite game ever. Maybe it’s just because I haven’t played Rift Apart yet, either way this is an even more beautiful song than I expected.
Favorite lines of this song: "When realities collide It’s appealing to think there’s Green on the other side Well you’re wielding the sprinkler The world’s what you make it Your fate’s not ingrained Every crack in the paint’s Still a piece of the picture" -Look, I'll be totally honest; the idea of the multiverse is basically my religion, and this whole bit summed up exactly why it is. It doesn't matter how much life might suck, there are countless universes where it doesn't, where every dream and desire you've had are reality, but more importantly, it still doesn't mean that your own life is meaningless. "Though chance may choose our canvas Only we can paint the hues But your flaws don’t mean you’re broken They’re just deeper shades of you" -This... this is just beautiful. "Where dimensions fragment and the shards reconnect You’ll find you’re not defined by the past they reflect Leaving one world behind can be hard to expect But you’ll work out in time a new path in the next When your reality cracks, it can feel like forever Trapped in the gaps as the pieces are severed If you feel you could lapse all you need is a tether To that team at your back, you can keep it together" -No matter what happens, no matter how things changed, whether in a small scale of your life or a large form of dimensions fragmenting, the important thing is to always have someone you can rely on. "And with every new world that unfurls you will find There is more to your life than the one you designed There is far more to fight for than what you are leaving behind" -What else is there to say about this? :')
I love "multiverse religion" as well. When I feel bad I always tell myself that it means one of my multiverse selfs is having a great time because of my "sacrifice" and it makes me a bit happier :)
Religion I've never heard of, sounds interesting! I respect your belief, but even in my religion (Christianity), I've seem resemblance too! In my religion there's one God, the creator of all. He's able to help you with anything, no matter how far he seems. Just a rift apart! Its cool this song can apply to religions of many sorts!
@@ghost_fueled_scarecrow that's just rude to say. if it doesn't harm anyone (and infact helps the person who believes it) then why should it be a "bad mindset"? also just because they believe something doesn't mean they ignore themself.
So, I really love this song. And for a few reasons, but I feel the main one should be explained here. The terminology used in this song is PHENOMENAL. It uses a lot of what I personally use to describe my symptoms of PTSD. I often consider myself a broken man, due to a wide variety of injuries and mental health problems that have made it very difficult for me to function in normal society- and when I heard the line, "But your flaws don't mean you're broken, they're just a deeper shade of you", it genuinely brought a tear to my eye. It has been a long time since I've felt whole, but this song has pulled at my heartstrings and helped me feel far better than I have in years. It has earned a permanent spot in my playlist, and cemented itself a place in my heart. Please, keep up the absolutely amazing work
Thank you so much, friend. I'm really sorry to hear about the struggles you've faced, but I'm happy if my work has been able to help even if just a little.
@@bobbingi201 not everyone who has PTSD is a veteran, and their trauma isn't your business. I don't want to be rude but asking about people's trauma isn't the kindest thing to do
@@randomguy11518 I didn't mean to come off as rude, and I tried to say that they did not haver to answer as it is very hard to talk a bout things of that nature.
"Every crack in the paint is still a piece of the picture" is such a great message. Also is "Where dimensions fragment and the shards reconnect[...]" a reference to your CONTROL song, or coincidence?
Nice catch! In fact, at one point, it was even MORE of a reference! It used to actually have the full line 'and the astral projects', but it didn't quite work so I trimmed it down to a half reference instead of a direct quote. :P
@@TheStupendium I love the references in the songs! They always stand on their own for new viewers, but you get an extra bonus bit of fun if you've heard the other songs!
I doubt that you will see this message sir but I just want to say thank you for this amazing piece I really needed to hear this right now. Without giving my life story I'm about to make a major life change and am moving away from home for the first time and I'm scared shitless This song really helped and for that I am grateful. Thank you
If you like Ratchet and Clank fan songs, check out some of the ones made by this guy. th-cam.com/video/b0Sor0ukUes/w-d-xo.html They’re a bit old, but still good.
I know this song a year old now, maybe even more, but I wanted to just say, thank you for this. This song was an incredible find, and not only that it rekindled my love for Ratchet and Clank, I haven't played one of these games in a long time and this song inspired me to pick this game up. I had an amazing time shareplaying it with a friend, and it was just an experiance I cannot stress that I enjoyed from start to finish. Not only that but this song just - works for me, emotionally. I feel a sense of dread, but know that everything will be a-ok. It's inspired my writing and was perfect. This was just amazing, and I don't care what some people would say, I adored this. Thanks Stupendium for being yourself. Keep working and inspiring.
"Though chance may choose our canvas, only we can paint the hues/But your flaws don't make you broken, they're just deeper shades of you." As someone with depression, this touched me deeply, and I'm keeping that part of the lyrics close for when I need it. Thank you so, so much for this song.
With The Stupendium, no matter the game, we already know that the song will be incredibly wonderful. Edit: And we were right, this song is STUPENDOUS!!! Edit 2:wow i didn't think this would have so many likes, thank you all so much :D
Dont usually leave second comments, but this song just brings alot of different messages to tell to different types of people. Its a song to cope with whatever you may be going through no matter what other people may say about those flaws. The messages that I'd see this song would tell is that it's okay to leave something behind (like a break in the internet), confronting a serious trauma you've got very recently or for a long time, finding a purpose for yourself in life, and knowing that your not the only one who is having so many flaws in yourself. This song's writing just executes these messages so perfectly without being too cliche while still making it reference the Rachet & Clank fandom, that it's an understatement to say that this song is another banger from Stupendium, since it is song that will help a lot of people, including those who wrote the song and help Stupendium make it. If I have to give one line from this song that would summarize every message it has, "Every crack in the Paint's still a piece of the picture", is what I'd choose. I really dont want to say it's one of your best magnum opus again since I left a comment bout that in your recent song, "The Data Stream", but to give another title, it is the best song you wrote in your entire career.
I never know how to respond to such kind words, but wow, please do know they are so appreciated. It means so much to me that you enjoyed the song in such a big way. I'm very proud of it and I'm glad it was able to resonate with you in the way I'd hoped.
@@TheStupendium I can say the same to your kind words. Just keep on doing what you do and we thank you for giving us another video to appreciate. As a fan, I am very pleased to share my words, and I can't wait to see what more you and those who work with you have in store. Have a pleasant day Greg. :)
The most insane thing is that he does all of it himself, barring the guest singers of course, using their own voices when singing (that'd be weird if they didn't)
God damn Stupendium, you knocked it out of the park with this one, never thought a Ratchet and Clank song would hit so close to home and be so touching but here you are, kicking ass and singing great songs
This is a catchy one! As someone who grew up on Ratchet and Clank, great job! 4:47 gave me serious feels, Ratchet and Clank have been through so much, and they're still together. From a Robitic Ignition System to the best heroes in the galaxy, they're still kicking ass across the galaxy!
This song brought tears to my eyes. The Stupendium is long past being my favorite musician, this is a perfect example of why "What music do you like?" is a very difficult question to answer.
"Though chance may choose our canvas, only you can paint the hues, but your flaws don't mean you're broken, they're just deeper shades of you." Such a Good line
At an odd transitional period in life. Just got away from abusive family and started teaching in college this year. Feels like a whole new world, but I'm also struggling letting go of the past. This song hit the feels for me. Thank you so much.
Beautiful song. I love this kind of message. I'm reminded of "My Past Is Not Today" from Equestria Girls, where the main villain from the first film, now reformed and struggling with all the wrongs she did in her past, sings "My past does not define me, 'cause my past is not today". Interesting that both songs also identify a key part in the process being relationships with other people: "If you feel you could lapse all you need is a tether to that team at your back - you can keep it together", and "When I began to fall and I lost the path ahead / That's when your friendship found me and it lifted me instead". This is great! There's room for many more songs about second chances, picking yourself up, and the support of a non-judgmental community. This is a message we need more of.
I adore this song, I keep coming back to it whenever im having a rough time. It really is just incredible, especially the line "though chance may choose our canvas only we can paint the hues but your flaws don’t mean you’re broken they’re just deeper shades of you," bravo Mr Stupendium.
I don't care if it's "not a big project", something of that quality shouldn't be overlooked just you didn't had the time to dress up as a fancy Lombax ! Well, knowing your appeal for villains, you might have for the Nefarious look but still !
The canvas line about your flaws being deeper shades of you has got to be one of the most beautiful lines I’ve ever heard. Love your music and how you can make banger tracks meaning so many things at the same time being dope nerd core.
Put your playlist on shuffle. This song brought me to tears. As someone who makes themselves useful because they feel nobody can care about someone as depressive, self-hating and weird as them, the message that flaws don't define you and that you can take control of your path was something I needed to hear today.
6:18 I really like this detail, the shard below the sentence "Song Available Now", the text changes to a different version from his other videos, as if it's changing dimensions. Love that detail.
This part helped me realise the solution to a problem i have had for a long time now. Thank you Stupes It’s your turn to revolt in every turn of the bolt To take the world on your shoulders and then turn it to gold When you’ve crashed into fragments of all that you know Well you’re far from alone
"Though chance may choose our canvas only we can paint the hues." I think that's excatly the message I needed to hear right now, especially the follow up of "your flaws don't mean your broken, there just deeper shades of you."
One thing I love about The Stupendium’s songs (like this one and their LiS: True Colors song) is how they’re able to work the game into making a song about feeling good about yourself and appreciating that flaws don’t make us broken. Really amazing stuff and fantastic craftsmanship on their part.
Thank you so much! 🧡 Thoigh just as a friendly heads up, I go by they/them please! Funnily enough, this song is actually about my experience with gender. :)
@@TheStupendium apologies I have updated with your correct pronouns ☺️ and that’s honestly super interesting. I actually discovered your Life is Strange True Colors song around the time I was accepting my Asexual/Ace identity.
Normally in your songs there's a couplet or a quartet that just encapsulates the quality of your writing in one powerhouse prosaic punch. And, as a poet, those moments are genuinely day-making to hear for the first time because I know how it feels to craft writing like that. This is just an /entire song/ of moments like that. My highest compliments to both you and Freeced! I hope you're both amazingly proud of this masterpiece!
God, what a fantastic piece of art. So beautiful and layered. Maybe my favourite of yours. In my opinion, the data stream, the fine print, death and taxes and now this, are your finest and most meaningful songs.
This is my 27th time listening to this song and I'm not bored of it and I'm 100% sure I'll never be bored of . well done This song is rlly inspiring for me and I the first thing I do when I'm not in the best mood is listen to this song
Just wanna say that I was listening to your playlist, heard this song, and just left it on loop for like 1 hour, then I had to convince myself to actually finish cleaning my room 😂
This is such a nice song, and recently it's been a bit of a comfort song (especially when I'm stressed or have a headache, bc it's very smooth and unobtrusive). Thank you for creating it!
Once again i find myself coming back here, i still listen to this song sometimes and its just as wonderful to hear as the day it came out. Despite how much i love the songs you do, i still think this one is my favorite. Thanks again for making such wonderful content, and i look forward to all the things you'll make in the future as well ^^ Keep going for Gold, and may your heart be your guiding key, Stupendium team.
I...I needed this... Like, I know barely anything about the R&C games, but that doesn't matter..because this song still has so much meaning no matter the context...and in this case, the message it gave was one I could really appreciate...perfectly summed up in one line: "your flaws don't mean you're broken, they're just deeper shades of you" Man I felt that...thank you for another amazing song Stupendium...you are truly amazing
This song was literally awesome, oh my god, this was awesome, the armonies were glorious and all the verses were better and better... Love this song so much🔥🔥🔥
Dear Stupendium, My cousin's already in way *deep ship* to be saved. He started to *fall* since the Art of Darkness. *Tuning in to the madness* of all your songs had his brain shatter in Fragments. Now, after he listened to the Vending Machine of Love, *I see a* very doomed subscriber whose *brain danced and replayed* your songs thousands of times by now Rest Employed, His cousin who also fell Nook, Line, & Sinker 😭✌
I think it's songs like this that really make me appreciate art and the deeper meanings you can derive from it. You took a song about a Ratchet & Clank game, and gave it a deeper meaning that's both heartfelt, simple, and complex. In a way, reflecting the themes and characters of the game. Stuff like that is why I love art in any medium. Amazing work Greg, keep on keeping on dude.
Ratchet and Clank is a nostalgic series for me, and this song hits similar tones for me. This song is definitely straight to feel good playlist! Your songs always have a way of putting me in a good mood with a smile on my face.

I have to be honest, I haven't seen more than ten minutes of gameplay footage before, but this song is absolutely fantastic and I've already listened to it, like, seven times today and it's practically tear-jerking for me at points. Unbelievably gorgeous as usual, Stupes 👌
Can't say enough how much I love this song. As with all of your other songs, the wordplay is amazingly clever and the music is absolutely phenomenal, but for me this one goes above and beyond with its deeper message. I found myself actually feeling emotional as the lyrics hit me - something that is very uncommon. Far and away my favorite song from you and perhaps even my favorite of the past several years. Keep up the stupendous work!
So I’ve been belting this song out non-stop since I woke up this morning, and while I could go on about how much I love the song itself the message in it is truly beautiful.
i just love this song so much. it's an amazing break from your usual formula, most of your music is amazing, but hearing encouragement for once instead of a dystopia, makes me feel like I'm in the past.
Thank you so much for writing a song that hit me so hard in the feels in the right ways. Your lyrics were perfectly chosen and you hit the right vibes! This series is very special to me, and I've looked up to you for awhile now to the point a lot of your songs became a daily special in life - so I am very touched to have one about this song too. Thank you!!!!
Ever heard about the game "scrap mechanic" ? You would be the first person ever to do a propper song about it. And its one of my favorite games. Btw. Again this song is another bop in a series of absolute hits.
I really love you. I just had a solo dance party in my home office to this song because not only does the beat go so hard, the lyrics are perfect. I have never played this game. I don't have a PlayStation so I couldn't even if I wanted to but it doesn't matter. This is an inspiring song and I will surely listen to it and so many other of your songs many more times before either I kick it or the Internet goes down. Either way... I hope you are doing ok these days.
When Bob Ross was telling us about happy little accidents, I don't think he was talking about a Robowar, if only because the robots would be too afraid to fight him.
God this is such a genuinely beautiful song. I'll be honest, I have no history with the Ratchet & Clank games, I've never played them but I don't feel like I need to get something out of this which I love. It's not something I was expecting to really connect with but I actually have which is incredibly impressive. Your ability to create amazing song after amazing song will never fail to astound me.
"My Clank Impression isn't good enough to cover the outro so (voice change) we'll switch to the reality where I do it." I'm not sure why that was so hilarious to me
I saw your post on Twitter about this song and since I'm sort of on a gender journey of my own atm I figured I'd relisten to it and GOD this melody is so much more beautiful than I remembered.... plus the flow and the lyricism and the visuals and that one little bleep boop instrument aaaaaaaaaa it just gives me so many damn goosebumps from beginning to end😭
This was a surprise but a Stupendous one at that. Then again what can I expect from such an incredible songwriter, editor, and singer? It feels like this game just came out and you are on your grind pumping an incredible song about a one-month-old game. There may not have been any real-life appearances, but that just shows what an unbelievable song you can create in such a limited time. Freeced was a great choice for collaboration and he really knocks the second verse out of the park. Great song stups, can't wait for your next one. Keep on keeping on. :)
As much as I love the villainous songs there's just something so special about these more upbeat songs. You have a wonderful way of making these songs sounds so damn uplifting. Really needed this today thanks!
This... This song hit me in a way I never expected. The lyrics are gorgeous and it's so well composed..- It hits so close to home too. Even without its connection to the game, or even context from the game itself, it is capable of being a great song all by itself. This has genuinely become a personal favorite and a big comfort song for me. Thank you. I think I'll be putting this in the pile of songs to hold close for a long, long time. Edit: Going through some rough times right now, but this song is helping me cope. Thank you for creating it.
I went on a video game music binge, and now it's 1 AM. I'll end my tangent with this as it's my favorite video game "fan song" and one of my favorite songs of all time. The lyrics flow incredibly well and they also have a message that resonates with me. I've never played anything from the Rachet and Clank series, but this song is special to me.
without failure, you have the best ad campaigns for any game. these songs can re-spark the passion of any old fan. I don't know anything about this game however, I loved every second of this song
Holy Sprockets! This is such a toe-tapper. The lyrics are beautiful and catchy, and the editing is phenomenal! (Plus don’t think I don’t see the coincidence of posting a music video about a video game involving the multiverse on the same week as the LOKI finale)

LYRICS:
VERSE 01:
So things seem stable
It’s beginning to all make sense
But on the periodic table
Equilibrium ain’t that dense
So you’re top of every playbill?
You’ve been living as the main event?
Live a life on red carpets you can’t be surprised
When you ask where the rug went
When it’s pulled out from under your feet
Fronting parades to confronting defeat
Dumped in the rain, unfamiliar streets
But there’s nothing to gain by admitting you’re beat
Maybe it ain’t quite as grim as it seems
Don’t get to choose the loose screws you inherit
That’s more than a face in the mirror you’re seeing
Together you’ve got the tools to repair it
Might just be a Lombax with a wrench
I was at on the bench, now I’m back with a vengeance
Smashed my dimension so Ratchet’s suggestion?
Mechanical emperors should cash their pensions
Graduate from the school of harder knocks
Than the grade A plates of my Carbonox
When I take straight aim with my blaster shots
The reports say rain (with some parts of bots)
When realities collide
It’s appealing to think there’s
Green on the other side
Well you’re wielding the sprinkler
The world’s what you make it
Your fate’s not ingrained
Every crack in the paint’s
Still a piece of the picture
CHORUS: 01
Look past the pieces and you’ll see there’s more adventure to seize
Don’t believe it? Then you’re thinking one-dimensionally
So this world is not the one that you intended to be?
Well a Rivet’s what you need when things might tear at the seams
It’s your turn to revolt in every turn of the bolt
To take the world on your shoulders then turn it to gold
When you’ve crashed into fragments of all that you know
Well you’re far from alone - We’re just a rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
A rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
VERSE 02:
So it seems your outlook can be warped
Whole schemes cut off like some jean shorts
Keep tracking ‘em down and the heat source
Leads you to keen sword swings at machine sorts
Keep breathing, it's all gonna pass in a season
Believe it, and call it a flash in the pan
And release it, let a thought stop with a dash
And you'll leave it all it looking real small in the past
A shatterbomb to your artwork
Can make it feel like your heart burst
It's hard to know what to start first
Each step becomes a departure
And you may feel like a drifter
Resist a place in the mixture
Is this a crack in the rift or
Another piece of the picture
Another piece of the picture
CHORUS: 02
Look past the pieces and you’ll see there’s more adventure to seize
Don’t believe it? Then you’re thinking one-dimensionally
So this world is not the one that you intended to be?
Well a Rivet’s what you need when things might tear at the seams
It’s your turn to revolt in every turn of the bolt
To take the world on your shoulders then turn it to gold
When you’ve crashed into fragments of all that you know
Well you’re far from alone - We’re just a rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
A rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
VERSE 3:
There’s one thing rarer than raritanium
That’s a fate that don’t seem alien
No matter how long you’ve been on that grind
Life soon finds ways of derailing
Any infobot will say the same again
If a legacy’s planting seeds you’d
better believe I’m leaving these
enemies in leaves and geraniums
And though chance may choose our canvas
Only we can paint the hues
But your flaws don’t mean you’re broken
They’re just deeper shades of you
Combination of Sagan and Bob Ross
No mistakes when repainting the cosmos
If things seem grey it ’s the start of a gradient
Can’t make hay without raking the compost
BRIDGE:
Where dimensions fragment and the shards reconnect
You’ll find you’re not defined by the past they reflect
Leaving one world behind can be hard to expect
But you’ll work out in time a new path in the next
When your reality cracks, it can feel like forever
Trapped in the gaps as the pieces are severed
If you feel you could lapse all you need is a tether
To that team at your back, you can keep it together
CHORUS: 03
Look past the pieces and you’ll see there’s more adventure to seize
Don’t believe it? Then you’re thinking one-dimensionally
So your world is on the brink of some nefarious scheme?
Well a Rivet’s what you need when things might tear at the seams
It’s your turn to revolt in every turn of the bolt
To take the world on your shoulders and then turn it to gold
When you’ve crashed into fragments of all that you know
Well you’re far from alone - We’re just a rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
A rift apart
We’re just a rift apart
OUTRO:
And with every new world that unfurls you will find
There is more to your life than the one you designed
There is far more to fight for than what you are leaving behind
You made a truly great song, good luck with the move!
I always love how the lyrics are 1) meaningful on their own, 2) loaded with puns, and 3) clearly indicative of having played and understood the game instead of just hopping onto the aesthetic. Quality as always.
Nice song Stupendium! I've not played the game a lot yet, but that doesn't take away from the quality of this absolute bop.

Damn. I didn't know so many people could relate to a song like this. Something the Stupdendium is really good at is making songs for video games that sound like they could just be a normal mainstream song. Something that the video game fans will appreciate but anybody can relate to. The ability to articulate what you mean in such a way is impressive. Love it

Ah, another ACiT lover. One of my favorites too 👍
I was just thinking how much this reminds me of ACiT and how much fun I had playing it when I was young.

Favorite lines of this song:
"When realities collide
It’s appealing to think there’s

Well you’re wielding the sprinkler
The world’s what you make it
Your fate’s not ingrained
Every crack in the paint’s
Still a piece of the picture"
-Look, I'll be totally honest; the idea of the multiverse is basically my religion, and this whole bit summed up exactly why it is. It doesn't matter how much life might suck, there are countless universes where it doesn't, where every dream and desire you've had are reality, but more importantly, it still doesn't mean that your own life is meaningless.
"Though chance may choose our canvas
Only we can paint the hues
But your flaws don’t mean you’re broken
They’re just deeper shades of you"

If you feel you could lapse all you need is a tether
To that team at your back, you can keep it together"
-No matter what happens, no matter how things changed, whether in a small scale of your life or a large form of dimensions fragmenting, the important thing is to always have someone you can rely on.
"And with every new world that unfurls you will find
There is more to your life than the one you designed
There is far more to fight for than what you are leaving behind"
-What else is there to say about this?

The amazing thing is how diverse the songs made are and yet they all feel like noone else could have made them
So, I really love this song.

I like your pfp
I agree.

This song is just so chill and nostalgic i love it.
So I’ve been belting this song out non-stop since I woke up this morning, and while I could go on about how much I love the song itself the message in it is truly beautiful.
It feels like this was supposed to be in the game, but it’s not. The lyrics are so cleverly written.
i just love this song so much. it's an amazing break from your usual formula, most of your music is amazing, but hearing encouragement for once instead of a dystopia, makes me feel like I'm in the past.
Same for rimworld, there is no big song about it. So many great games out there deserve some songs but don't get any
I really love you.
The fact that content like this exists gives me hope for humanity.
Stupendium your amazing. I've been listening to you for two, nearly three years now and have not been disappointed. This music is beautiful.😊
"A shatterbomb to your artwork... Can make it feel like your heart burst."
That got me.
♥
@@Freeced This might be one of the most validating hearts I've ever received. This whole song touched me, but that line crushed me.
I love the line "fate may choose the canvas but we paint the hues" it hit hard! Fantastic work stups and good luck with the move!
"My Clank Impression isn't good enough to cover the outro so (voice change) we'll switch to the reality where I do it."
I'm not sure why that was so hilarious to me
1:59 The references to both Atlas and Midas are IMMACULATE
I saw your post on Twitter about this song and since I'm sort of on a gender journey of my own atm I figured I'd relisten to it and GOD this melody is so much more beautiful than I remembered.... plus the flow and the lyricism and the visuals and that one little bleep boop instrument aaaaaaaaaa it just gives me so many damn goosebumps from beginning to end😭
It's impossible to not bop to this music so hard. literally every second of it is perfection
The lyrics are gorgeous and it's so well composed..-
It hits so close to home too.
I've never played anything from the Rachet and Clank series, but this song is special to me.
anyone else think a Papers, Please song would be really cool? Don't have to but it would be cool
That would be really cool!
Yeah, I'd like one to
GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA.
Is that confirmation? YES!
I want it
without failure, you have the best ad campaigns for any game. these songs can re-spark the passion of any old fan.
Ive just been boppin the whole time, love this
Also nice glass shatters XD
Thank you. :P
