    Battery Life tested it against a Model 3 LR and it got the exact same consumption despite lack of heatpump and bigger tyres and worse drag which is simply amazing! 🤩

    Wow, I think this infotainment beats Tesla - because of the ways you can customize it, and have more visual interface, instead of mostly text, like in Tesla.

    If they drop the prices about 20K from the 72K to 52-55K thy want now, the ID.7 becomes competitive.

      Did you check the business line model? Has massage ergo active seats and matrix LED the german model doesn't have as standard, still under 60k at 20 % VAT and additional emobility benefit of -2400 EUR.

      @@abraxastulammo9940 Yes i have.
      I compare both with the most similar feature set. Including tow hitch and winter tires - which are mandatory in Austria. VW has HUD and massage seats.
      Those are not worth 20K.
      I am a company i do not get incentives in Austria since 2022.
      This was an ad VW sent to me as i am a former VW owner. As long as they do not lower their prices significantly they are not interesting for me anymore.

    It is a desirable electric car, no doubt.
    But - the hood stays open by a stick????? For this price one would expect a spring or telescope assisted hood. Or a windscreen washer fluid fill hole not under the hood but somewhere on the side or front like other German makers can do.

    I'll take it for a ride,, but despite being a VAG fan for over 40 years (my first car was a brand new VW Golf GLS when I was 21), and 9 new VAG cars over the years, I'm not convinced if there will be a new WAG car for me!?😳 They don't give you the product for the money enymore, and is to expensive for the majority of the people. What was theire name? Volkswagen (peoples car)

      That's just personal opinion. I like ID.7 infotainment much better than Tesla's - because it is more visual, geometrical, and thanks to this - more intuitive, than just lists of options in Tesla. Tesla looks outdated here, like some old windows configuration menu.

    • @kalenen123456
      @kalenen123456 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Lascarnn Yes and the settings overview is much easier in the Tesla. Settings is settings and should be easy. Everything else looks good and nice graphics on the Tesla, looks far superior to my taste. There are other manufacturers that follow Teslas example with the overview of settings, but then add more graphics which can be nice.

    • @Lascarnn

      @@kalenen123456 That's why i said it's a matter of personal taste. I find graphic, geometric interfaces (like the ones showed in ID.7) faster to access, especially when driving.

    This is an embarrassingly inadequate effort. This is considered the most premium EV from Volkswagen, and yet that interior is disgustingly outdated. The infotainment system is primitive, as are the driver assistance and other smart features. It's unforgivable that this isn't riding on an 800-volt architecture. Chinese EVs that cost 40% less already have 800V underpinnings as standard. Are the Germans even trying? Do they even want to be in the business of making cars?

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      This is the third time in a day you are commenting this on my videos, but still fail name the car you are talking about. Last chance or you will be blocked to spreading false information. Here is what I've replied earlier that yo haven't answered yet.
      "Volkswagen isn't a premium brand, so not sure why you would expect a premium interior. That being said it is as nice as any other interior at this price point from other manufacturers. That fact you are calling this infotainment system primitive shows you don't know anything about this infotainment systems or any others. Because this infotainment system is one of the best in any EV atm. It is miles better than anything from China or Korea and is better than any Tesla.
      What Chinese EV this sized, with this range costs less than 40k Euro as you claim? Please tell us, because that sounds like dog shit. 800V is only good if the battery is up to par to handle the speeds they can achieve. 800v at this price point is full of compromises. There is a reason Hyundai/Kia have dialed back the charging speed in the EV9 compared to Ioniq 5/6/EV6."

      Please stay on the ground. There are no Chinese 800V cars anywhere. And there is certainly not one single Chnese car costing 40% less.

      @Lascarnn 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      "Primitive infotainment"? This system actually looks much more accessible, and faster to use (big floating buttons are more user friendly, and i like it)

      @@KrisRifa I didn't fail to name them. You shadow banned my comment, so let me try again. 1) Geely Galaxy E8, priced from $24,600-$32,200; 3) Exeed Sterra, $34,400 to $49,600; 3) Zeekr 007, $29,400-42,000; 4) Luxeed S7, $35,182-49,267. These are just some examples of sedans/wagons that ride on 800v architecture and are priced lower than ID.7. Many other 800v electric crossovers and SUVs also exist and are also priced lower than the ID.7.
