Thank you for these Jack the Ripper videos. It’s interesting to hear about the various suspects and seeing whether or not some of these people could be Jack the Ripper or not, especially regarding the various books that are out there. Keep up the great work Ned, I hope you’re doing well. Take care!
Hi Ned, this JTR series is really developing nicely. Curious if you have read - The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper | by Hallie Rubenhold
Hi. I haven't yet , but if I recall, that's the one that states that none of the women killed by Jack were s/e/x workers. I heard a brief challenge to it by Randy Williams when he stated that one of the Ripper victims (I forget which) was accosted by the police while she was working that profession. I'd love to hear more.
@@BlackBoxOnlineRadiocan you do when it is the day for the ripper can you do one on William Bury. Just in case you don't know he's the man at his house in the cellar it said Jack ripper was here in the cellar. And on the door that said Jack ripper is through this door or something like that. He murdered his wife stuck her in a box broke her leg trying to fit her in the box and then mutilated her stomach. He claims that someone else killed her and because he was so distraught he mutilated her stomach. Doesn't make much sense in the jury did not buy it he was actually hung on 24th April 1889 He told the police officers that his wife was dead and he was afraid that he would be accused of being Jack the ripper. He may very well have been he was never suspected at least at the time and he had mutilated a person in the stomach probably after the death the way Jack the ripper did who just happened to be his wife. And the Jack the ripper notes of the two Jack the ripper notes some ripper experts believe it was a confession. He was clearly a man that was deranged and clearly a man out of touch with reality as the ripper would have had to been to do what he done to Mary Kelly. It would probably be a good suspect to talk about because a lot of people may not know who he was or heard the story of him.
@@BlackBoxOnlineRadio Sorry, I wish I had more to tell you. I’ve come to appreciate and trust your JTR book reviews more than most and was looking for a thumbs up/down before diving in. Thanks for the Randy Williams lead, I will be checking that out. Keep up the excellent work.
Please do one on suspect William Bury. he allegedly murdered his wife broke her leg to fit her in a box and her stomach was mutilated. In the cellar it said Jack ripper is in this cellar. On the door and said Jack ripper is through this door or something to that effect. Some ripper experts believed it was a confession. He went to the police department and although he denied he murdered his wife he admitted that he did mutilate her stomach. He said she was already dead and I literally flipped out but even someone that flipped out that love someone I don't see how they can mutilate their stomach. Hey tell the police he was afraid he would be accused of being Jack the ripper. He wasn't but he was hung for the murder of his wife on 24 April 1889.
What makes me laugh, and a lot of people actually thinks it's actually the way he dressed. Almost every website shows a man with a tall top hat, a cape and a black bag and this is almost totally 100% incorrect. Actually I know it is it started in the 1880s when Jack the ripper started someone gave a description of someone like that and it took off and then they were actually looking for people with the tall top hat a cape and a black bag. As a matter of fact one man was nearly lynched because he happened to have a black bag and it was not a doctor's bag but it was a small black bag. All of these were almost certainly incorrect because I believe Jack the ripper was a resident of Whitechapel or the East end. The way they have him dressing with the cape and the hat and everything was usually wealthy people and I don't believe Jack the ripper was wealthy.
Yeah honestly. I can only imagine how things went down around that time. “Right. Whats this then? A sniffy and a crane he had, yes? Tallied to the britches, he was? I do say! No top hat upon this gent! Not him it be! Bloody knife in hand with head in the other? Can’t be our man, no! No top hat! Carry on, blood-soaked gent! Another day for you behind our bars! Today that day isn’t!” Bunch of idiots back in those days. Kinda how the Zodiac case went. It flooded police with a bunch of lies idiots came up with such as it being their dad or some shit. No wonder these two killers got away.
I am convinced that JTR had anatomical knowledge. Look at the Eddowes murder. It took place in a very small area called Mitre Square. It was very dark and surrounded by tall buildings. Yet in the pitch black, and in just 10 minutes or so the killer managed to extract at least a kidney, I don’t remember if he took out anything else. But I ask you, presumably a person with not much medical knowledge, to imagine yourself on the ground, in a nearly pitch black place, with a body in front of you. Could you not just rip the body up but go in, find and detach a specific part? I don’t believe you could.
