I would never watch a remake of Bodyguard. No one can top Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. You could tell there was alot of feelings between them. Kevin Costner said he loved Whitney Houston and always would.
They remade it as a gay version with Ryan Reynolds ....it was not very good !
I agree 💯 Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston made the movie beautiful nobody else could do it I love this movie 🍿🎥
Thank you hun.
Apparently she said no until she was told it was Kevin Cosner
@@karenf1001 SHE knew it was Kevin 2yrs before she accepted. She didn’t want to do it. Even after he convinced her they waited a yr on Whitney.
31 years have passed and this film is still loved so much by so many. Respect.
SOMEONE LOVES YOU HERE
I love this movie and I watch it at least every year to yr and a half. I will never stop missing Whitney Houston. I was blessed with a beautiful voice and I could once sing her songs until I had throat infections and didn’t listen to drs and keep silent while sick. I lost my voice. We all lost Whitney.
So sorry that you lost your voice and can’t sing any longer! 😢
costner’s closing statement of this documentary,
“i WILL always love her” was his forever promise and pledge to whitney.
Kevin's love for Whitney lasted thru her death. His eulogy was a love poem to her memory.
I think Kevin was impacted by Whitney the way he actually saw her being in the movie. Seeing her as possibly a R&B diva and probably being impressed that she actually can act and has a wild unique personality that doesn't look like the personality on music videos. Costner has a natural introvert personality to him and Whitney has a natural wild extraverted personality about her that works together with chemistry.
@@anthonygordon9483 literally no wonder their chemistry is so natural , they just played their real life
Kevin said she was the love of his life but she was on track to marry Bobby Brown. Kevin still had I Willl Always Love you as his ringtone years later.
agreed, he gave her such a beautiful farewell🕊❤ He is such a kind man. There will be no one like her again.
I heard that feeling wasn't mutual and she thought he was a bit creepy.
Kevin’s heartfelt eulogy at Whitney’s funeral was so emotional, caring and gut wrenching. I cried through the entire thing. Heartbreaking as you could tell just how much he loved her.
Kevin truly loved her for her. The eulogy he read was beautiful.
That’s what made me finally watch the film. I’m not a religious person but it was really touching hearing him talk about what they had in common.
I wish the romance extended beyond the camera. They’re so perfect for each other. They’re to each one what they didn’t know they needed from the other.
It sure was! I was already crying, then I cried more!! 😥
He didn't just "read" the eulogy--he wrote it!
Beautiful!!!
Kevin is a class act. I have so much respect for him. His patience, his vision to have Whitney be in this movie, his determination that Whitney start the song a cappella… all brilliant.
Yeah,it's so sad / pathetic that CB is treating him so badly right now. She's trying to take him to the cleaners, and she certainly didn't like him working .😊
In addition, and maybe because of, his gentlemanly and genuine ways, Kevin is also the most heavenly hunk of masculine handsome ever known to woman. Oh, my goodness.
He seems very gentle with her, and she leans into him comfortably and easily. I think she trusted that gentleness he gave her.
He respected her 💯as a true Queen. That’s how it starts and never ended.
Information i got , they were friends before the movie .very close friends

Hello Marie, How are you doing?
I feel her behind that veiled curtain .. just waiting to step forward ..and grace us with her presence once more !
And Kevin Costner ..is ' The' .. Story teller he passionately can lift a story from a canvas ..or a book ..and give it the Breathe of life .. that intermingles like breezes of the raw, the real, the emotional, with the right pinch of passion . that is brought together onto a moving screen . Thankyou !

I loved seeing how Kevin Costner was all giddy around Whitney Houston, you can tell he was attracted to her lol, so cute.
Whitney and Kevin, a good combo for the movie. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
Kevin gave Whitney the entire movie without fear. Depth of love & trust baby.

THAT was chemistry for all to see! His face when he looks at her says it all!
Whitney was so talented and naturally beautiful.
Hello Sandra, How are you doing?
The movie is not even awful enough to be a campy secret pleasure. But to mention it in the same breath as Yojimbo, a masterpiece, just shows how delusional Hollywood is.
"Smitten" is the word that describes both of them. At least Whitney was able to receive true and healthy love from Kevin in her lifetime.
😭🧡
I love them together 😀 next life we will see them again as a couple! We will remember!!! My visions are strong!
Yes I agree,, smitten is the word 👍

I LOVED their CHEMISTRY throughout the WHOLE movie, and will NEVER EVER waste my time seeing an updated version of this, I DON'T care who the studios get to play the lead roles, some things ARE best left alone and this IS one of them (my opinion only here).

I already knew Kevin Costner as an actor and Whitney as a pop singer. What immediately drew me in was that Whitney could act. And the chemistry between them was great. And the music was the cement. Thank you for sharing! I met Kevin Costner many years ago at Venice Beach not even realizing he was Kevin Costner and I said “you look a lot like Kevin Costner.” He just said “Yeah, I get that a lot.” Lol I later saw on the news that night that it really was him! Those two, Whitney and Costner, eternally smitten with each other, a universal crush for infinity. Thank God they made this movie so it could be a possible dream come true.
LOVE how Kevin Costner didn't want it to be about race!
It looks like behind the scenes was made at the time of the movie. I am just seeing this now and hadn’t seen interviews with them. I was very pleased to hear that neither of them wanted the “race” thing explained! Beautiful! It was two people who fell in love. Period! That is real life! In this film where the attraction was so strong it would not have made sense. There was no ‘splainin’ to be done.
He is color blind...that's one of the reasons I respect him as a person ...he seems to see that person not thier color...people like that make this world a more bearable place to be...
. .uh hem (throat clear). . this man truly loved W.H., there’s no doubt in my mind that he was head over heels in love with her, it showed and his eyes don’t lie . . 🌺
Kevin Costner cutting his hair the way he did gave him a Steve McQueen look, which is who was intended to play the part originally.
And Whitney was the Diana Ross of her generation, and Diana was originally meant to play opposite Steve McQueen.
Jason Myers, (ironic we have the same last name??) I never thought about what you posted about Kevin's haircut, until I heard them mention Steve McQueen (you think Kevin was giving a 'nod' to the McQueen fans?).
I know that actors are suppose to project their feelings and emotions in a movie to make it as real as possible. That said, the chemistry between Kevin and Whitney is off the chart. Kevin admitted in The Oprah show that he has fallen for Whitney in real life. That's much is clearly evident in the movie.
She was my first crush because of this movie. I was like 10 haha. Just watched it again tonight and yup, still there.
My gorgeous favorite actor, Kevin Costner...The Bodyguard will forever be my favorite movie because it was a great story but mainly because the chemistry between Whitney and Kevin was beyond impressive

They were actually perfect in their roles.
KEVIN COSTNER IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN...AND WHITNEY WAS A BEAUTIFUL SINGER..THIS MOVIE WOULD NOT BE THIS MOVIE IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR BOTH OF THEM...SUCH A GREAT MOVIE..
Facts ‼️
The movie showed the reality of two people from " different " worlds falling in love for that moment in time, and having to say goodbye. It's bitter sweet! I can say that I was blessed to have experienced it! There will never be another Whitney Houston. R.I.P.
Well shared.
It was a story that perfectly shows such deep feelings do not bother about race.
It’s a shame this film got slated by the critics, because I think it had alot of depth and is one of my all time favourite films
It only got slated was because a black woman had the leading role.
I never understood why, I loved it and still do. I think some people don’t get it and maybe still don’t . That’s why it got rejected so many times and that was before they even had an actor for it so I don’t think it had anything to do with Whitney being in it or her being black. She was freakin’ awesome in the film and just shone brightly in every scene. I bought the film and the soundtrack I played continuously. I also fell in love with Kevin kismet in this. Plus the little boy was really cute too!
All in all it was a brilliant film. Sadly in those days , the critics had a lot of sway on what people went to see in the cinemas which is a shame.
O This whitney Houston kevin Costner Movie has got to be one of Kevins Best Films Of His Career, & Whitney was Such A Natural In her Role which made This One Of The All Time Greatest Dramatic Films, Sincerely,
@@iosdrippy1513 Give it a rest. It had nothing to do with a black woman having the leading role, you dolt. The two lead roles were actually written for a black actress and a white male actor, hell it was originally written for actor Steven McQueen and Diana Ross to be in the starring roles. So there goes your tired racism argument out the window. The critics were hard on it because of the type of movie it was, and lets face it, Whitney Houston was no actress, she was a singer, so her ability to pull the role off was in doubt. In the end she did a great job (not an Oscar award winning performance, course) for what it was. Study up on the history of things before you go running your mouth. Smdh
It didn't matter because it was a box office success
Whitney and Kevin had a tremendous chemistry that made this movie one of the greatest of bittersweet love stories. The sound track itself is enormous, just adding to the talent of Whitney and the magnetic respect each had for one another. Costner’s eulogy at her funeral was evidence of this. I have watched the movie three times and anticipate seeing it again! ♥️. PS…Had race been brought up, I would have not watched it to completion. Both actors deserve accolades on their professionalism, merit, and talent, which has absolutely nothing to do with the color of their skin.
Yes,but let’s never forget that just 20 yrs prior to this movie Whitney would have been made to use a different bathroom! Absolutely disgusting!
It’s not 20 years ago though.
And God help us if they do a WOKE redo. It would totally ruin it with a big lecture on race. Pewie.

I totally agree. I love make of and behind the scenes, when they actually tell you reall information about what happened. Too often you just get fluff these days .
Such decisions are what transcend a song from being good to becoming "Great". You have to break some generic rules to achieve greatness. It was the same with (A six-minute long) Behemian Rhapsody. They also asked if a "Jazz" producer should make Micheal Jackson albums. Even David Foster once said, "Good is the enemy of Great." Thank God he didn't have the final say on the opening of the song.

Will always be remembered never forgotten!❤️🙏
Loved the Bodyguard. Love Kevin Costner madly since forever. Witney, what a voice. Gone far, far too soon.. Love them both.
Hello Patricia, How are you doing?
I was 11 when I first saw The Bodyguard in 1992. I remember the day as it was yesterday. It's such an emotional and powerful movie and I was just a kid but it had such an impact on me and it touched me in the bottom of my heart. There was so much chemistry between Whitney and Kevin.
Some years later, in high school, I did a dance number and the song was Queen of the Night 🙂
Yes too beautiful and a shame they both didn't end up together . They had a close relationship but I guess they respected each other enough not to go there and Whitney loved Bobby as Kevin had lot of girls falling for him too so I guess they left it as that. Whitney was such a great talent. And humble and warm .
Whitney, his one true love!! One of my all time favorite movies!! My favorite actor and my favorite singer. There will never be another voice like Whitney’s! ❤
One of the most beautiful movies of all time. RIP Whitney
Whitney and Kevin. They would've made a great couple.
This brings back so many memories. I studied her as a vocalist. I never knew the back story and how Kevin Costner pursued her for this role. They really seemed to enjoy each other. Now I want to watch it again!
Everyone loved Whitney. It is really sad her tragic ending. Just think how many more beautiful songs she would have blessed us with....RIP with your daughter and the angels around you.
Everybody loves every celebrity, when their gone. They were the, biggest fan!

I always hoped they’d end up together in real life.
That is an interesting concept. All other women hoped that they .. them and Costner … end up together 🤣
