I was blessed to have a Sia.ese Manx in my life for just shy of a quarter century. He was the most adorable, loyal, loving friend you could ever want. Even many years since he passed, still deeply missed. My new buddy is a shorthair blackie, my first black cat. Also a sweetheart and I love him very much. Literally came to the door one night as a stray who was hungry. Cat personalities are fascinating.
My Siamese looks very much like Simon but he is not as healthy. He is older and has kidney disease, consequently he has trained me to feed him fresh water on demand, hand delivered treats and food placed under his nose at meal time. It’s like if you baby me I will try to live and eat and drink as long as possible otherwise he doesn’t care whether he eats or not.😑 Love him a lot!
Cats 100% greet people. Used to have a roommate with two cats, I'd always say hi to them, ask them how their day was and other dumb stuff and I guess they enjoy responding. If you talk to them generally they'll talk back.
I constantly talked to my youngest kitty when I got her. She was a stray kitten that followed me home. Now she is the most talkative kitty I've ever known! It's so cute 💙
My cat always meets me at the front door-as I step up holding my keys, I hear a little thunk, my Vito jumping down and running to greet. Then he trots towards his empty food bowl, and he chirps and trills as I take off my shoes and remind him that patience is a virtue, my li’l monkey man.
Simon is a true Siamese gentleman - incredibly handsome, impeccable manners, and the sweetest chirping to melt anyone's heart - all the good things packaged into one! BTW, we love Bubbles the Lynx Point lioness just as much, I was ordered to mention that by Max! 😜😁😻❤️
I have 2 cats and I invited a 3rd in. It's a long story, she was a Siamese and VERY sick. I had a spare room and I kept her there so she'd have a safe and comfortable place to be before passing away because I thought there was no way she'd survive. A week later, she miraculously bounced back. She will forever have a slight respiratory problem, other than that she's 100% healthy. For a long time when I picked her up, she would put one paw on each of my shoulders and give me little kisses on my nose☺️. Of course she NEVER did that when anyone else was looking, until one day she did. I was just happy someone got the chance to see her do that!!! She is the SWEETEST cat in the words (to be clear, I love the other two cats just as much). I'm so thrilled she pulled through! I love that little girl with all of my ♥️🥰.

My dad's Siamese was the greatest love affair ever. She knew his cars sound from blocks away. They talked to each other a lot. And she was super protective of dad. I so miss them both.

He adopted her as his baby from day one, he protects her and looks after her all the time. Once I took her to the vet, I was struggling to get her into the bag, she was meowing and resisting, he came and hissed at me, like "leave my lil sister alone!" They make my heart melt. I have a Siamese and she’s the same with the meowing and the love and pets on her terms. She was so quiet for a long time but now she answers everything you say to her with a meow like this too. She’s incredibly smart like you’re talking about here. We have 3 other cats and i didn’t ever buy that breeds could vary so much until Sassie joined us. I swear the entire breed remembers that cats were once respected and worshipped and they don’t see any good reason they don’t deserve that today too 😂. Just gorgeous and smart cats.
We have Siamese litter mates, a boy and a girl, who are 14 months old. We are retired and spoil them rotten, and I have never loved a cat this much nor had it returned to me the way my boy does. The girl is more aloof but is coming around as she ages, but she is so soft you can't help but want to be around her. They have us shaking our heads at them constantly as they can be so goofy and fun, and i can't imagine life without them now. My last Siamese died 5 years ago at the age of 19, and it took me 5 years to want another cat, I was hurting so badly. My wife lost her Yorkie a year after he died, and we were both pretty devastated for the intervening years. Get another pet and don't wait 4-5 years like we did. It's time lost forever if you wait.
Pure Joy, right? I have found that Males are easier, more loving, while Females are more aloof, accept loving on their terms, like human females. LOL! I found Snowy on the street when she was about 5 weeks old, and she used to show her gratitude EVERY night by crawling under the covers to cuddle, the only timesshe would purr. She's about to turn 3, and I have to beg her to cuddle like that, and when she does, she stays for only about 10 minutes, whereas before, it was numerous times a night for at least 30 minutes each time. Women!!! Oy Vey!!! LOL!!! But, still, I'm so IN Love with het!!!
I got my first cat Jake at the age of 8 weeks old. As Jake aged, he developed severe arthritis in his legs and so hated the winter.In the early morning he would get me up to let him go out and do his personal business. Then after about two hours, he would come in, haul down his food and then come downstairs, jump on the bed. I had an electric blanket and Jake would snuggle under the covers. I would then take the pillows and make him a little tent with the covers and pillows whereby he was nice and warm. However, Jake didn’t want a sleeping partner - it was a tent for one! He lived to 18 until a vet killed him during an operation. Cherish your fur babies!
Aww, Jake had the sweetest routines ❤ I love how cats are creatures of habit, and how happy they are about it (I can relate haha!) Jake sounds like a wonderful cat. Sorry for your loss.

My George isn't a Siamese, just an ordinary mutt cat, but very smart. He knows what time it is and what I should be doing - to the point where if I try to have a lie-in on the weekend, he will use his head to push the bedclothes down off me to get me out of bed. I've never had a cat do that before.

It was nice to see an example of a Thai/Siamese that acts much like my own. My cat is not the attention-hog that his breed are made out to be online. He does, however, have his very sweet moments. Others, he can be a tyrant. I love him.
My siamese isn't very needy as well, she spends a lot of time on her own but when she does want attention she's getting it, she climbs on your lap and bothers you until you stop what you're doing and pet her
My siamese greets us when we arrive home too and she meows to tell us she arrived from sunbathing on the yard. She also likes to have someone watching her back while she eats so everytime she wants to eat she goes to her person of choice and asks to be followed, normally I'm the morning feeder so she wakes me up 4:30 AM every single day
that's funny usually simionized kitties are talkers. they will talk your ear off sometimes, pair them up with a husky and you'll never be. Wanting for a debate or company
Haha yeah I know I’ve always heard people say how talkative Siamese cats are. At a few certain times (like when I come into a room, or sometimes when I feed him haha) he does meow consistently at least 😸
We used to have two half Persians (ginger longer hairs) and Moe who was supposed to be my wife’s cat decided that he would be mine. I used to wake up and h would be wrapped around my forearm. He was always rambunctious but when I had a heart bypass he was so gentle with me. Both cats have now passed so I am looking forward to retirement so that we can get another one.
I’m blown away by how much Simon looks like Bear, my 15 lb, 6 1/2 YO Siamese. They could be twins except for the fact that Bear definitely has the Siamese talking characteristic down to a tee. Bear greets me vociferously if I enter a room where he’s in residence, unless he’s sleeping, of course. And if he wants something-food, attention, or a walk-he won’t hush. And yes, I walk him on a harness and he knows more tricks than any dog!
Yes, Siamese are generally loners unless they were raised with a bunch of other cats or dogs. They choose when and if they will talk to you and when they wish to be interactive. My belated Siamese cat was the queen of the house but if there was a cat fight outdoors she would join in the ball of fur flying. She could be tough as nails when she wanted to be. I miss her so much. Thank you for sharing Simon. He brings back a lot of wonderful memories of my beautiful cat.
You have the same 2 types of cats we have! Seal Point & lynx Point! Our Seal Point is a puppy in a cat costume. If he's awake - he's at my feet meowing for attention, always wants to play and always hungry 😅 polar opposite to his lynx Point brother!
I had great siamese cat in my childhood. They are much better companions comparing to other breeds. His name was Fang and he died at 21 years old being a great soul in my house to the last days. I really miss him.
Siamese cats ! They are the best. I had 2 siamese cats : Adèle and Chai. They were my babies. Adèle lived to be 17 y.o. and Chai 16 y.o. If someday I adopt another cat it will certainly be a siamese ❤😻😻 !
Our Siamese LOVED Popcorn too. He would wait for his while I was preparing it. we would go sit down in the living room and he'd get his handful. Also, if we didn't buy him his own McDonald's French Fries he would eat all of ours so it was better to get him a small order... lol
They look like our Milo and Angus. Milo loves peanut butter, he'll steal your sammich. Our talkers are our female Siamese Lulu and our tiny panther Sheldon Cooper. Our youngest, Aiden has Cerebellar Hypoplasia and doesn't walk so he stays close to me or my husband. He really only meows if he needs help. I work from home so they're all spoiled and I appreciate their company. I love when one gets the zoomies. Milo and Angus run through the house howling and scale their cat tree. Angus has anxiety, so do I so he and I i get along really well and he's comfortable with me. My hubby is not good at sitting and being quiet, he's got a lot of energy, he so makes Angus nervous, but after 4 years, he's getting more comfortable. Our dog is an elderly lady who just wants to hang out. Angus loves her .
Simon is a doppelganger for my Sora, Japanese for "sky". He was equally as quirky. In the winter he would crawl under the comforter to sleep between my legs. Sadly and tragically, the day after I threw a party, he just disappeared. The last photo that I have is of one of the guests holding him. I'd had him for 16 years and I think he just went off to die. As is with all pet owners I was devastated...I miss his head bunts. So glad I found your channel, though I get very "verklempt" watching Simon.
I have 2 Siamese mixed breeds who are brother and sister. Polly my boy always waits for his sister to eat 1st. I have also seen this in feral cats where the dad lets his wife and kids eat before him. It seems that male cats can be super polite like this!
When I was in the 5th grade I had a siamese cat. Every day when I'd get off the school bus I'd hear a meow and see my cat walking towards me. I'd pick him up and carry him home. It was always a mystery to me how he knew where the bus stop was and what time the bus arrived. He liked lots of attention which is one of the things I liked about him. He never needed a cat box because he always used the toilet. It was remarkable because he was never trained to do that. But then I'd never train a cat..they're fine just the way they are. He was always comfortable around people unless they appeared to be a threat to me, then he went after them. His name was Simon.
One does not own a Siamese. The Siamese allows your presence. We have two and they are the greatest.

It was nice to see an example of a Thai/Siamese that acts much like my own. My cat is not the attention-hog that his breed are made out to be online. He does, however, have his very sweet moments. Others, he can be a tyrant. I love him.
My siamese isn't very needy as well, she spends a lot of time on her own but when she does want attention she's getting it, she climbs on your lap and bothers you until you stop what you're doing and pet her

My siamese greets us when we arrive home too and she meows to tell us she arrived from sunbathing on the yard. She also likes to have someone watching her back while she eats so everytime she wants to eat she goes to her person of choice and asks to be followed, normally I'm the morning feeder so she wakes me up 4:30 AM every single day
O my gosh. We have same cat! Tiny meows, very aloif but for morning when he is biggest cuddler.
that's funny usually simionized kitties are talkers. they will talk your ear off sometimes, pair them up with a husky and you'll never be. Wanting for a debate or company

Haha yeah I know I’ve always heard people say how talkative Siamese cats are. At a few certain times (like when I come into a room, or sometimes when I feed him haha) he does meow consistently at least 😸

We used to have two half Persians (ginger longer hairs) and Moe who was supposed to be my wife’s cat decided that he would be mine. I used to wake up and h would be wrapped around my forearm. He was always rambunctious but when I had a heart bypass he was so gentle with me. Both cats have now passed so I am looking forward to retirement so that we can get another one.

I’m blown away by how much Simon looks like Bear, my 15 lb, 6 1/2 YO Siamese. They could be twins except for the fact that Bear definitely has the Siamese talking characteristic down to a tee.
Bear greets me vociferously if I enter a room where he’s in residence, unless he’s sleeping, of course. And if he wants something-food, attention, or a walk-he won’t hush. And yes, I walk him on a harness and he knows more tricks than any dog!

Yes, Siamese are generally loners unless they were raised with a bunch of other cats or dogs. They choose when and if they will talk to you and when they wish to be interactive. My belated Siamese cat was the queen of the house but if there was a cat fight outdoors she would join in the ball of fur flying. She could be tough as nails when she wanted to be. I miss her so much. Thank you for sharing Simon. He brings back a lot of wonderful memories of my beautiful cat.
You have the same 2 types of cats we have! Seal Point & lynx Point! Our Seal Point is a puppy in a cat costume. If he's awake - he's at my feet meowing for attention, always wants to play and always hungry 😅 polar opposite to his lynx Point brother!

I had great siamese cat in my childhood. They are much better companions comparing to other breeds. His name was Fang and he died at 21 years old being a great soul in my house to the last days. I really miss him.
Siamese cats ! They are the best. I had 2 siamese cats : Adèle and Chai. They were my babies. Adèle lived to be 17 y.o. and Chai 16 y.o. If someday I adopt another cat it will certainly be a siamese ❤😻😻 !

Our Siamese LOVED Popcorn too. He would wait for his while I was preparing it. we would go sit down in the living room and he'd get his handful. Also, if we didn't buy him his own McDonald's French Fries he would eat all of ours so it was better to get him a small order... lol

They look like our Milo and Angus. Milo loves peanut butter, he'll steal your sammich. Our talkers are our female Siamese Lulu and our tiny panther Sheldon Cooper. Our youngest, Aiden has Cerebellar Hypoplasia and doesn't walk so he stays close to me or my husband. He really only meows if he needs help. I work from home so they're all spoiled and I appreciate their company. I love when one gets the zoomies. Milo and Angus run through the house howling and scale their cat tree. Angus has anxiety, so do I so he and I i get along really well and he's comfortable with me. My hubby is not good at sitting and being quiet, he's got a lot of energy, he so makes Angus nervous, but after 4 years, he's getting more comfortable. Our dog is an elderly lady who just wants to hang out. Angus loves her .

Simon is a doppelganger for my Sora, Japanese for "sky". He was equally as quirky. In the winter he would crawl under the comforter to sleep between my legs. Sadly and tragically, the day after I threw a party, he just disappeared. The last photo that I have is of one of the guests holding him. I'd had him for 16 years and I think he just went off to die. As is with all pet owners I was devastated...I miss his head bunts. So glad I found your channel, though I get very "verklempt" watching Simon.

I have 2 Siamese mixed breeds who are brother and sister. Polly my boy always waits for his sister to eat 1st. I have also seen this in feral cats where the dad lets his wife and kids eat before him. It seems that male cats can be super polite like this!

When I was in the 5th grade I had a siamese cat.
Every day when I'd get off the school bus I'd hear a meow and see my cat walking towards me.
I'd pick him up and carry him home.
It was always a mystery to me how he knew where the bus stop was and what time the bus arrived.
He liked lots of attention which is one of the things I liked about him.
He never needed a cat box because he always used the toilet.
It was remarkable because he was never trained to do that.
But then I'd never train a cat..they're fine just the way they are.
He was always comfortable around people unless they appeared to be a threat to me, then he went after them.
His name was Simon.
