I always knew they would be swimming because no matter how tall or heavy they are, the ocean is still too big, and Hanji said they are moving too fast to be walking in the bottom of the ocean. I was surprised to know that most people were expecting the Wall Titans to be walking in the water.
I think why me and many other people think that colossal titans would walk on the ocean ground is because we think of titans like they are zombies so we don't expect them to be flexibel (and maybe intelligent) enough to do something as "complex" as swimming movements instead of just walking.

Reminded me of the firing of FLEIA in Code Geass in that it’s coming so fast it’s jarring

the founding and the attack are 2 seperate types of titans, the attack was originally erens dad but he ate the founding titan an then eren ate him, so he actually got TWO titans in that time if i am understanding it right, he also had access to the armored titans spinal fluid when he gets captured and brought to that underground cave area, and he ate that titan with the big hammer, not sure what it is called, but seriously even before this point he had access to like 4 different titans i believe, getting the founder just gives him the set XD
