I love these dresses!!!! This is my style and I love the loose fit. They look great. I made my first dress at age 11. I'm 63 now but still enjoy fabrics and sewing. Thank you for sharing!!! From Guntersville, Alabama in the USA!
I’m so motivated to get to this level of sewing skill and knowledge, that I can just decide to start making new dresses for myself on a whim 🪡👗 Lovely, as always! 🤍
Some of the things that I really like about Jenelle is that she seems so kind but also she actually takes times to put hard work into the videos and then on top of it responds and hearts a lot of the comments.🧡🧡
I love how you did all of the same steps on the dresses at the same time. It helps to keep your mindset focused. I also thought using white thread for all of the dresses was a timesaver, so you didn't have to keep changing the thread color. My favorite of the three dresses is the floral dress made from a bedsheet. I think I need to make some oversized dresses using your clever hack. Really a great video and congrats on adding three dresses to your wardrobe in one day.
I love how versatile your patterns are! Actually I always dreamt about making my own clothes but I never knew where to start. You inspired me to give it a try and it turns out to be lots of fun! One day I want to buy one of your patterns but due to Covid I lost my job. So I'll stick to your free perfect dress pattern for now and a lovely burnt orange corduroy from my stash and see if I can pattern hack it to be a button down shirt dress! Thank you for all the inspiration 💗 Oh, and I love the gingham!
They're so cute! They could be year round dresses, pairing them with leggings, long sleeve shirts, and sweaters while still having that flowy, free, and dreamy look to them.
I like them all! I sewed three simple dresses one night for my daughter because she had grown so much during the week she didn’t have anything to wear to church. She was amazed when she woke up the next morning to see the three dresses ready for her to chose which one to wear.
@@melindabanning7707 My friend Sonia says "Use what you have to hand. What do you have in your hand.? Use it." Wow! I was proud of myself for having finished one blouse in two days... three dresses in one day is amazing! Your dresses are gorgeous, I particularly love the floral one. You have a knack of finding beautiful fabric in charity shops, which is such a win-win for yourself and the planet 😊 Thanks for the inspiration.
I love those dresses and my favorite is the floral. I appreciate the modesty of the dresses because modesty is important for me when it comes to dress patterns. Thank you for this video.
You are amazing! Like sewing-watching you is therapeutic! These dresses!!! Omg! Don’t know what to say-but I’m in love! They are so beautiful ❤️. Really can’t say which one is my favorite-I love them all! If I must choose-that floral bed sheet is probably my favorite! I think it’s beautiful when we can take a fabric and do a re-make! Vintage fabric always has a special place in my heart! 💕 Bless you for sharing these beautiful makes -besides being beautiful stand alone on the hangers-they are absolutely adorable on you as well! Keep doing what you do-and sharing the results! I love love love the clothes you make. I especially LOVE the dresses. So, comfy, which is the best ever. I want some of these dresses. Thank you for showing us!
I'm so glad you shared this video. I have made several dresses using your pattern and tutorial and I'm making another today! (Had to watch again for a refresh.) After a few dresses, I experimented with the neckline and have made it a little larger so I can slip the dress on over my head without the need for a button. These are my go-to dresses and I wear them all the time because they are perfect for hot weather (which we have a lot of in Louisiana). So cute and comfy! Thank you for your video!
That’s so cool!! I hope when my newborn is a bit more independent I can find the time and energy to try making some dresses for myself! I want to make some for my nieces and my two daughters for the holiday season but I’m definitely feeling a bit discouraged as it’s been a long time since I’ve sewn anything, let alone with a sewing machine. My husband was so sweet and bought me my first sewing machine two years ago I think for Christmas or my birthday. Love the dresses and fabric choices!!
Beautiful, I made a similar dress in the late 80-early 90’s, by combining a top from a t-shirt dress and a piece of gingham fabric, but I added front pockets. They are so comfortable, and you look great in all three!
WOW!!! I love all of your dresses. I wish I could sew. They are the style of dresses you could wear all year round depending on the fabric used. Great job!
Thank you for sharing your time of sewing. I am one of those individuals that when they start a sewing project I have finish it before the close of the day! It is funny because that is the same style of dresses, but I used a type of knit so that it goes over my head without putting a closure on it!
These are what I call "two piece" dresses. They're my favourite style of dress. Apart from the simplicity of the pattern, I think if you like bold and brightly coloured fabrics, they shine with this kind of dress. I have a favourite pattern I use again and again. I think have made at least 25 dresses using this pattern and it's also quite easy to tweak to add features like big puff sleeves or changing the neckline... I will look at the Rosa too 😀
Are used to make my clothes all the time...You have inspired me to start it up again! I make this style of dress for my daughter all the time and love it not sure why I never made one for myself ...I guess I just needed your inspiration.
Good morning ..the first sewing video I am watching today and I can't help smiling along with you😊I can relate to your joys...cos this is what I am doing in our second Covid lockdown.. I had never sewn anything in my entire life and now I bought a tiny machine and doing one simple skirt each day😁like you I feel the joy when completed and parade in it...adding more to wardrobe for everyday wear with materials of my choice, mostly from thrift shops....thanks for sharing your joys..I like simplicity too..your dresses are gorgeous 👍( guess I am obsessed too..after initial success☺)
I love how you make sewing clothes out of old bed sheets look so fashionable. I never would have thought to do that. Now, I look forward to dollar days at the thrift store to buy sheets and sew up some beautiful, one of a kind outfits. Ty.😊
I'm so glad I saw this ... I am getting started on your hazel dress but I'm a size 10 chest, size 12 waist and size 14 hips. I've worked out how to cut the pattern now based on how you hacked your pattern. I'm new to sewing and was feeling stuck before I even began. Now I can move forward. Love your channel!!!
Wow !! Hello madam you so skillful 😍 I hope I could have your one dress to wear ...I have swing machine but it's not working now ....I have also have your give a gift brother sewing machine so I able to sew my own dress thank you I learned a lot madam
So swishy and cool! I'm never sure about the oversized look (on me), but the gathering at the waist, and the length of the skirt, and the neatness of the bodice just all balance out perfectly, I'll have to try it. I'm also really digging the keyhole with the button, cool wee feature and very practical
Of course you can sew 3 dresses in 6 hrs! Go you! I can’t choose a favourite, love all 3! What I really, really loved was the gingham bodice as a top.. ** squeal** ..so cute! Looks amazing on you. Another top video, thanks for sharing! X
Well done Janelle. ...they are all lovely. ..I love the vintage sheet one ...really a great idea....can't wait to try it. ..you have inspired me. ..thank you and remain blessed xxx
Love all your videos. Lovely dresses! My favorite is the gingham linen. Love the color and the fabric. Thanks so much for sharing your work, for inspiring me and for sharing the resources. God bless.
I love all three but the grey one was my favorite because I love how that fabric feels. I think your videos have given me enough confidence to try out garment sewing for myself. I am a quilter right now so I understand a lot of the concepts that go into sewing clothes but I’ve never actually attempted to make my own.
All three each have their own unique qualities. I use cute double for some of my baby Granddaughter. Some years ago I had an almost identical dress to the gingham, it was one of my favourites. I have to say that overall, the vintage really pulls me in. If I made it myself, I would add big vintage style pockets to the outside trimmed with lace (probably) or co-ordinating ric-rac or even a couple of rows of thin ribbon. I would add this to the bottom of the skirt also. If using the ribbon, I would probably add it to the bottom of the sleeve too. I love the top! .... could totally see these as cute separates 😍😍😍😍😍 Have a great day, you did a fantastic job 🥰🤗
Oh my gosh, you did such an amazing job and I LOVE the bedsheet fabric! I'm headed to the thrift store this week running on the inspiration you just gave me! I'll be drafting my own pattern, but it's basically exactly the style you've done here which is how I ended up watching this. Really great job. I hope you love and wear the crap outta these!
I love the bodice as a top Janelle...it will be so versatile...that’s what I love about sewing, very often ideas come along as a garment evolves...always look forward to your videos, next target 300k 👍💕 x
Gosh Janelle, you are a bomb! These 3 oversized Rosa dresses are truly gorgeous and suit you so well. Love all fabrics and results, especially the linen. As I have 2 of your patterns, currently on my second one this makes me want to try your method without the zip too. Too, too clever!.....and lovely as well. xx
Well done- I have a similar dress with patch pockets I have made. I think I will make the second one with side seam pockets instead- I like the check one best too!
I have a vintage bedsheet that would be right up your alley for these kinds of dresses! I bought it for quilting but I can't bring myself to cut into it, all these years later.
Omgosh! I love the bed sheet! I have some vintage floral sheets that were my grandmother's, but none that are as cute. I've used one to make wide leg pajama bottoms.

I was re-watching this video from 2 years ago and at 7:20 realized how cute the bodice is as a shirt, as you mentioned might be addressed later. It would definitely be a nice hack of your pattern to finish off the bodice and make an elastic waist skirt so you could have some mix-and-match separates if you decided to make several "sets" in coordinating fabrics. I find myself without an adequate number of tops in my closet and it would be so nice to make some sets of separates from existing dress patterns. Keep doing what you do. I look forward to your videos and even re-watching my favorite ones.
Alright.. now I REALLY want to use your patterns to make the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. I’ve always thought your patterns were super quick and easy while being so elegant and this just solidifies it.
Oh I love these simple but lovely smock empire line dresses. Perfect for us Singaporean’s. Wish I could sew these for myself. I can only do small projects so far. I did your sewing machine cover. Love it!
Love love love this video! I have the double layered cheese cloth sitting there in blush and im going to make this but add a frill to the sleeve. Am very keen to try this production method to speed up my makes because you wre right summer is passing by and i have hardly making my sun-frocks for the very hot weather. They all turned out so well! I did really like the linnen one but man that fabric is not cheap! The vintage bed sheet looks AMAZING
💐 Impressive trio. Brava!👏 No question in my mind, you look pretty in all three dresses. 💕Love that shade in gingham, and the gauzy material is marvelous. Surprised to say, the 🌾floral sheet was my favorite of the lot. It really was ultra flattering & feminine on you! 💖 Love to watch you work. 🤔 Think the cropped top was a sweet look for you too. Definitely need to put that on your agenda. ☮Peace 💛Love 🌼Beauty from Los Angeles
Love how so versatile is this pattern, wonderful!!! Also, back in Christmas I made two pijamas for the family in production line and definitely it saves time, so yes, thumbs up for the production line 😀
Me too! I fancy making one for my daughter who is pregnant. When the baby is here, it would be comfortable to wear and button front would be really useful!
Wow you are so talanted!! Im actually amptempting to sew the ”perfect dress” tutorial you posted a year ago. Let me say, it takes me three days to complete one dress 🤣 But I am a total newbie, so thats okay. Thx for the video, the dresses looks so lovely! 😍
All 3 are besutiful in their own way. The vintage one would look delightful with a straw hat and bag and pretty sandals. My favorite would be the grey(taupe) one the fabric looks soft and floaty(?) is it?
I love when sewers recycle vintage sheets. Turned out pretty.
I love these dresses!!!! This is my style and I love the loose fit. They look great. I made my first dress at age 11. I'm 63 now but still enjoy fabrics and sewing. Thank you for sharing!!! From Guntersville, Alabama in the USA!

At 7:40 the unfinished dress is the cutest top on you. Omg. With those jeans.
Sewing beats wasting hours on social media hands down!
Gave this video a thumbs up just because you sew instead of wasting your life.

I admire you!
Let's not get there :)

Sooo pretty🤩.....Always, Sheryll
I really love that you want to come up with pattern hacks for your patterns and provide them for free!! You are absolute inspiration!
The bodice on the gingham dress does look perfect for a great top!

I loved all the dresses! I also love to sew in batches like this, I feel it makes you faster! Excellent work!
Wow you are so talanted!! Im actually amptempting to sew the ”perfect dress” tutorial you posted a year ago. Let me say, it takes me three days to complete one dress 🤣 But I am a total newbie, so thats okay. Thx for the video, the dresses looks so lovely! 😍
I love them all, but the double gauze one is probably my fave :)
All 3 are besutiful in their own way. The vintage one would look delightful with a straw hat and bag and pretty sandals. My favorite would be the grey(taupe) one the fabric looks soft and floaty(?) is it?
Very very nice 👍🏼
Awesome job I love the one from the vintage sheet, well done

Beautiful dresses I like all of them
