Great progress on all your projects, Santas of Fable and Fantasy looks awesome. Enjoyed seeing all your thrifty finds and all the needlework in the montage at the end. What fun you had on your journey, nothing like that around where I live, not even an LNS. Happy Stitching
Great find on those quilt blocks! Now I want to go thrifting to see what I can find. 😊 Those vintage
Santas are are so pretty. 🎅🏼
Great progress ! Enjoyed the video.
I love the pattern “shelter from the storm” I have a thing for mushrooms so I’ll have to look for that one. Truly enjoyed the montage at the end.
Wow, Rosanna, you have made a lot of progress! Great job!
I enjoyed the montage of yesteryear works at the end, thank you for sharing. This made me think you may also enjoy Gary Sligh here on youtube as I do. He hails from my neck of the woods in Virginia, and is a retired Reverend that now owns a Fiber Arts shop in Florida - his channel is dedicated to "The Legacy of Handmade Objects". I also enjoy Romantic Tangle, she has shorter stitching videos, and often puts up her Thrift Store Adventures.
Thanks! I will definitely check them out!
I grew up in upstate NY and now live in the northern tier of PA!
Haha, I guess we went in opposite trajectories. It's a great part of the world! Thanks for watching!
Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I can’t wait to see your next one. I wish you could show us a little of how you use the double needle, very interested. Until next time happy stitching as well. P.s. I loved the montage especially the Sampler Winter Christmas village of all them town houses, the church, and kids ice skating. Do you have the name of that one?
I figured out the pattern with the church and town is Preparing for Christmas by Betty Friess Baumer put out by Rain Drop designs I think in 1990. I think it is out of print but there are probably copies floating around online. I will say that in person this was a very impressive cross stitch and quite large scale. Thanks for watching!
As a lover of fairies and Dimensions images, I can only encourage you to start that D. kit. But in all fairness, I really think that it will not be a difficult project for you, taking in consideration the degree of complexity of your first stitched piece.
I have a Dimensions kit for a year now that I did not bring myself to start, because I am a very slow stitcher. But this year there are a lot of stitchers starting a big project on the 29th of Feb, as a leap year project, with the goal of finishing it before the next leap year. And I thought that this is a good opportunity for my Dimensions kit.
You stitched those Santas quite fast for my rhythm , so ...
But actually I do understand what you mean by feeling mentally prepared to start smtg.
As for that Blue Flower project... it is actually quite funny : the more the Fabric is frail, the more I like the look of the stitched piece, although I realise it is difficult to stitch on.
Happy stitching !
Yes, I am considering starting a project on February 29. I like the idea of having four years to do it, haha. Thanks for watching!
If you are using old Weeks Dye Works fabrics, from what I understand it is a looser weave. The fabric that is out now, on a Zwiegart base with the orange line in the selvage, is a tighter weave. Next time you come to PA it would be great to meet up with you at Humble Stitch in Newport. That would be about halway between Lewisburg and Shippensburg.
I did not know there was an LNS in that area. Thanks for letting me know!
@@brightanddusty I know they have a lot of yarn, some quilting. Not sure about how much Cross stitch, haven't been in there since before covid
