My GE dryer just suddenly stopped working, has same back cover but there is no fuse block there. Iv'e tested both button swich and door swich, both are working fine, and have continuity. Iv'e looked everywhere I cant find a fuse unless its behind the drum and i have to take whole thing apart to replace a fuse?
I couldn’t find that fuse I took the dryer completely apart. Supposedly it’s the motor bad. Didn’t figure how to test motor but if everything checks out what could it be. The customer just replaced the dryer after I replaced multiple things it didn’t fix it. I tested everything but that means there is something on the motor burned up. This dryer has build up of lint in lines and blocking outlet outside. I tested all the sensors, timer, door switch, belt micro switch, high thermostat and both thermostat fuse.
@DIYRepairsNow can you tell us what the name of the fuse is? For example, over-temp safety fuse, door switch fuse, etc.? Many other models don't have a fuse there & I'm assuming it's somewhere else within the dryer so knowing name would help find it
My ge dryer is almost the same model , it works and stops in a minute so i changed the interior switch and cleaned the motor and lint and all now it works for 10 to 15 mins and shuts down again. Not sure but looks like overheats and shuts off.Anyway you can help me with it or any idea what it could be?
My GE new dryer is cheapest at Lowe's, 4th time now, same issue, no heat. Under warranty within 1st yr, I'm glad i have extended 3yr warranty, but this is nerve racking, is this build back better? Never GE again
Whoa...this is how you do a "How To" video. Just the right amount of information and demonstration. Thanks!
You're Welcome! Glad it was helpful!

Same here
Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I think I'm having the same issue.
