The Diamond Art Club logbook does allow for other brand kits. Difference is no picture appears for other brand kits. Also, no picture appears for Diamond Art Club kits purchased through Amazon. I love the ease of moving kits between the different categories.

I, too, am analog; not digital. My logbook is my own creation and I love the way it works for me. I have left plenty of room for what I call musings about the specific diamond painting and what else was going on in my world when I worked on that particular canvas. Love your videos, as by now you know. Thanks.

Great video as always. :) I purposely keep my stash small. Less than a dozen typically. I’m currently at 10, and that’s fine with me. I would never deny myself from buying a kit I truly wanted, unless of course I wasn’t in a financial position to purchase said kit. I’ll be the first to admit I’m picky about the paintings I buy. Hence the small stash. I’m selective. It’s probably a good thing.
As for buying from Canada… it stinks sometimes. The shipping rates and COD charges can be ridiculous. Thankfully DAC offers free shipping when you spend $104. Not many companies offer that. The exchange is just another necessary evil… like death and taxes.

I’m trying to like the new pen, as with everything it takes time and the tray is nice enough for me. I haven’t received my Dazzles yet, they look cute, nice for little gifts to get friends on the hook 😊 or have a DP girls night and everyone draws a kit. Just a month in and searching storage. Currently Harbor freight 54 storage for squares and Artdot cases for the rounds.

Hi, I have one new kit on the way from DAC. So I will see.
I have tried putting myself on a no buy list. Doesn't work at all. But, I need to stop and work on the ones I have. My walk-in-closet is full of Diamond paintings. My walk-in-closet is the last place I want to be in a major earthquake.
I have been working on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy since February. I will stop work when my lumbar area of my back starts giving me pain. We do get Tornadoes in California. Back in 1982 a Tornado took the ruff off the L.A. Convention Center. My Dad thought was funny,, until the same Tornado took our brand new ruff off. We had a blue tarp on until February of 1984. From . August of 82-February of 84 was the El Nino which was one of the worst to hit California

I love that you love my terminology! I actually got that from Rebecca from Add More Zest and I loved the idea of it; it’s limiting without causing the FOMO or guilt that comes from no-buys, as when you can’t do things, you want things more.

I don’t find the dazzle kits appealing. But I adore the paint gems. Not sure what DAC is doing with the minis, the small figures, and now signs. I think they should stick to their mainstay of just canvases. My stash is bigger than I’d like. Most everything in my DAC wish list is out of stock, which is not a terrible thing. It allows me to reconsider the want once it does come back in stock.

You can add other kits to the DAC log as well.

Just remember that a kit may be $100 here in Canada but….sadly our dollar is much lower than your US one. So it may not be as bad as you imagine
@@Jaime_plans The exchange rate is a factor, but I will just have to see once we move. Our situation will be much different, so that will probably factor more into my decisions than the exchange rate.
Hi Daphne, Just love your Video's. I can't see what the deal is with these kits. What do you do with them when you finish? It's a no from me, I would not buy these at all. Thanks for sharing. Also could you please let us know where your pens are from and what wax/putty you are using? I know you use glue dot's for the single placer, just interesting in what other was/putty you use. Love from Australia.

Thanks for sharing, I have purchased alot of Paintgems so I am huge fan of those, I am not a fan of all the baggies either. I did not buy those as I am on a no buy. Only 17 months of my no buy left.

Which ones are better? Fairy Dust or AB’s?
@@kristidyer5045 I like them both, but for different reasons. The ABs are fun and iridescent. The fairy dust are shiny, but not in the same way. Almost more like a metallic sheen to them.
My mom is “allergic “ to hot dogs. As in she only eats them on the 4th of July lol

I’m curious about your goal of increasing your stash. With so many-I think you said 91-what’s your reasoning for needing to increase it? It will take years to work them. Have you ever destashed any kits? Ty!
@@catgranny The intent behind increasing it was because we are moving to Canada and it will be more expensive to buy kits while living there, compared to living in the US. I’ve never had a ‘destash’ sale or anything like that, though I have given a few kits away.

Great video 🌟. What putty did you use in your multi-placer? And may I say that your placement of the square drills is perfect! I struggle with squares, but am going to try them again because the finished product is so much clearer.
@@jamiejazz8194 I use Museum Putty in my multiplacers. I just find it works better for me than the pink wax.
I like it too. Do you prefer the regular or Quake Hold?

I’m working on a Diamond art club painting right now, guardian by Cameron Gray and it’s looking awesome!! One of the colors of drills have been HORRIBLE quality. The amount of stuck together drills in this one color is so frustrating! Some I’ve been able to get apart, some I haven’t. I’m setting them aside and think I’ll have enough to finish but holy crap, it’s just so annoying having to go around the clumps. I have a grinder I got I think from a dp advent calendar (judging by the name on it it’s 100% meant for something else 😂) and I’ve tried the green tray squish method which works for some but not all. Anyways, enough of my rant. Hope everyone’s having a good day!!
