Facts
I am leaning towards getting one myself, and here are my reasons
1. Made in America
2. Good price for what I get
3. Reputable company
4. I like safeties when I appendix carry and the barrel is often pointing at my junk or a big artery or big bone. Mistakes often happen when you go to re-holster.
5. I like the safeties for when I have my small kids around and something goes wrong
In my process and they get access. The grip and thumb safety is another level or protection when you failed the other processes
6. Optics cut
7. Easy to rack slide …easy spring, good groves and wings on back .
Something that this makes it an old person’s gun or a woman’s gun I totally disagree . It makes it a versatile gun. And this is how
A. What if you were in combat and you get your offhand, broken, paralyzed,…. You get your fingers, broken or shot off. … you can rack the slide off of your boot, off of your pants, off of a door jamb, off a truck seat, or off of our steering wheel in your car or off the pavement… that makes it more combat ready
B. Same situation your incapacitated and your weak may because you’ve been beat up or you’ve been shot… then you might need a woman or a small child to rack the slide for you…. That makes it more combat ready.
C. let’s say you are old, or you have arthritis, or you have MS, or you have nerve damage from a previous injury, or you were born without a thumb or a finger… you’re a woman or a man that has a weak grip…. Now you can rack the slide and that makes it more combat ready.
So the gun with its optics cut and it’s easy rack slide, and the options to buy a thumb safety or to not buy a thumb safety, makes this gun, very versatile and more combat ready
….. and did I say it was made in America?
The grip safety is much needed, especially if you choose the one without the thumb safety. It has an internal hammer that is retracted all the way, all the time ready to fire like a loaded 1911. Unlike a Glock that the stryker is half-cocked when loaded, the hammer on this one is cocked and at full-tension all the way when loaded. Trigger has a very short take-up. I think they put the grip safety to prevent NDs when gun is dropped or holstering because of that very short trigger take-up. The trigger travel to the wall is so short almost like a 1911 trigger. The M&P 2.0 (and Glock had much much more) has longer trigger travel. If you dry fire this, you'll be surprised the trigger feels it's basically is resting on the wall.
I have had the shield 2.0 for 2 years (love it).
I will have an Equalizer soon. The internal hammer and the grip safety are awesome!

Love my equalizer. Have had it since it came out. Besides the three mags that it came with they gave me a coupon for 3 more mags. It fits me nice, conceals nice, all around good gun for people on a budget.

Great gun ,bought for wife but she prefers her taurus 38spl. I love the compact size ,capacity . Holosun and rail take it to a nice compact build

Have been a hand gun shooter for 3 0 years.recently had to sell off my 9 mms due to Parkinson’s about 6 months ago I found the shield 380 ez and fell in love with it. Today I went to my local ffl to buy a ez9 while there they showed me the equalizer after racking the slide a few times I bought it went straight to range and fell in love wth it it’s my new cc. Thanks smith@ Wesson for keeping me shooting. And sir thank you for this video.

Hello, new shooter here! Thanks for uploading this video. I wanted to ask-How do you feel that the Firing Pin Block is depressed by the grip safety versus a pull of the trigger? Really want to get the equalizer but I want to understand the safety implications of a firearm with this mechanism vs something more traditional
I think this adds a degree of safety since grip safety is incorporated. Most modern firearms are safe across the board so I have no issue carrying most guns.
Family told me to get a Glock but I heard a lot of mixed opinions online.I go in the gun store and I see it and I fall in love. My dumbass did a simple google review and saw the words “under rated pistol” and bought it without testing it at the firing range. I got very lucky tho as I fired it and fell in love with it. I’m a shooter with small hands so the 10 round mag has the perfect grip and the grip safety does not dig into my hand. I bought some ndz after market parts and got a gold grip safety and a gold optic cover as well as a tlr-7 sub. Definitely happy I got this gun instead of a g43x. Easy slide rack, so far reliable and I’ve only heard good reviews online

It's a 10, 13 and 15 round magazine. They are nice pistols. My husband and I have had one for over a year. I personally doubt care for the grip angle. We purchased it for $480.00 it was a good price at the time. Idk what they are currently priced at
We're keeping the pistol and we've had zero negative issues. I prefer the German made Walther for CCW.
I just paid $509 for mine last week so I'd say you did pretty well. It wasn't the first place I checked either, the other was $550, so I thought I'd done proper shopping and was all proud of myself, right up til I saw your $480.
Someplace had the on sale for Memorial Day $425.00 I don't recall what dealer. It's a reliable pistol, I just don't carry it for CCW. My husband and I prefer German/ European pistols...... Have a good evening.

I am heading to the range now. w a bunch of holsters to put outside my pants behind the belt..Ur tall/skinny so AIWB probably fine for you, but for more comfortable for me now that I have gotten bigger. I will try to get times with 9 from a NEW Flexible Sidecar, and with a 40 from a Leather both really comfortable.

30 super ez is also underrated. I'm at 1500 rounds with it and I'm loving it

I use 15 round magazine only because I don’t like the 10 round mag and 13 round mag because it don’t have enough grip because its too small but the 15 round mag it’s the perfect size for me.

I actually love my equalizer It fits my hand perfectly and I don’t have a lot of strength in my hands and it’s easy to rack perfect for an older person like myself.
Love that this is a cheaper FN Reflex that was way faster to get to market. I'm fiscially irresponsible and have the Reflex.
Great pistol
Got this for the wife. Wife did not like this pistol. She prefers her m&p 380ez vs the equalizer. She wanted a 9mm that had an optic cut. She preferred my 43x MOS over this pistol. Yes the EQ was easier to rack but it was too snappy for her and jumping out of her hands. No issues with the 43x MOS and the EZ380. No idea what else to say. It just wasn't the pistol for her.
I like adding frame weights to my pistols, the ones that light up 😂. Takes a lot of snap out of the recoil

Excellent review of a understand 9mm,I love it,I've carried my performance center m an p 9mm ex for 2 years now an finally found a holster to accommodate my Olight light an laser combo with red dot optic,I saw this pistol not too long ago after falling in love with my performance center,an now it has 3 double stack magazines an optic ready plus more rounds an if you already have a shield plus, magazines easyily are swappable,plus a uplula,hell of a deal for me anyway,plus more grooves or serrations to rack slide easier,I want this as my next side arm for concealed ability an give my girlfriend my performance center to learn with as her first firearm,I don't it getting hot,after a day at the range I'll just stick in my range bag with my extra magazines,the price too of this gun caught my attention as well,I saw one at the gun range last year an wanted to try it out but I had to leave to head home an get rest before going to work,easy to clean an maintaine like the performance center as well

I love my equalizer but im going to be honest, not the best trigger but not worst either 6.5 maybe 7 out 10. But still my primary carry. Shoot over 1k But my next one is shield plus pc But I carry my equalizer more
