Practicing repeated dry trigger pulls or doubles on striker guns that don’t reset, what do you recommend to make sure you’re slapping the trigger like you really would with live reps?

6:00 21 rounds fired, Shooter removes magazine from pistol, magazine in his hand shows to be empty, but the slide did not lock back on his pistol (which usually indicates a problem with the magazine follower/slide stop engagement), but the spent round case did eject after his last shot. Then the Shooter just reholsters the pistol and does not perform a press check on the slide to verify if there is possibly still a round or obstruction in the chamber. I am wondering why he did not perceive that there was no slide lock after firing the last round from the magazine. I am even more curious as to why he did not check his pistol for safety/function after the slide did not lock back after the last round shot. When the Shooter inserted a fresh magazine and racked the slide to put a round in the chamber, I did not see a case eject from the slide, so the pistol was empty, but the slide had failed to lock back after the previous magazine was empty (the slide did lock back after the second magazine was empty). Interesting...I guess even a, "USPSA Grand Master Shooter" can forget basic firearms safety drills once in a while... 🤔

Great info. Learned a lot. Do you conceal carry? If you do, how do you EDC? Do you carry appendix or do you carry strong side? can you make a video showing a EDC setup because what you are wearing in this video doesn’t seem realistic for EDC, but the information you are teaching is very useful and greatly appreciated.

The garment grab is 10000x better than hooking the bottom of your garment and pulling. I used to hook because that's what your brain says to do when moving a garment, so you're conditioned to that before you start carrying. But the issue is that shirts/layers fit vastly different from garment to garment, so you cannot train a specific motion into muscle memory due to the position and method needed based on the garment you are wearing at that point and time. If you grab right above your slide, there is open space that you can take advantage of to be able to get a consistent purchase on all layers you have on, no matter how they fit. Such an overlooked part of training and I will always train friends and family to grab instead of hook

For the future, I would like to see fixed camera angles and more of Hunter’s eyes and body mechanics. I want to see how he is processing visual information and how and when he makes decisions to move a certain way or engage a target with a certain strategy.

I feel like draws, reloads, transitions, and movement covers pretty much everything. Thanks for the ideas and knowledge!
