I watched "Sadgati" of Om Puri a few years ago, I was 18 at that time. I got to learn about the true meaning of oppression and discrimination for the first time from this movie. Unfortunately this caste based discrimination is still prevalent in the rural areas. I have a few friends from Village who told me this harsh reality. Ofcourse Bollywood would not make a movie on it because it wants "POPULARITY AND MONEY"

He didn't mention the way Bollywood and other local industries bash Pakistan and are totally ignorant about Pakistan's look, language, culture , geography and places. The recent attempt is Mission Majnu ( the so called based on FACTS) movie. We Pathans and Baloch can drain our rice water in the indian topi that they love to put on the head of Pakistani characters. Our Nuclear plant is not a green color mosque minaret and Pakistan is not an extension of slums of mumbai, UP, CP MP etc. In fact, Pakistan is over 80% hill and mountainous region. The biggest slum is in Karachi developed by immigrants from India and even that one is not Indian style poverty stricken. Over 90 % pakistanis are taller and 10 to 30 shades fair skin than north indians. So stop showing us dark, short and stunted than Indian characters. It tells a lot about your own insecurities and racism. Over 90% of Pakistanis who know Urdu don't speak crisp Urdu and over 60% of Pakistan can't speak Urdu at all.
