Some of these songs are upwards to 300 years old like the Drunken Sailor. These songs were used by sailors and pirates to help the crews work in tandem to a cadence while they worked the sails and other things on deck
Tim is standing very still because he is standing in a small boat set up in his backyard. If he moved it would have tipped. I can only imagine what his neighbors thought...
Even worse, it was his brother-in-law's yard, not even Tim's, so the neighbors were probably even more confused! He filmed there because his brother-in-law was storing the boat at his place... for Adam Chance.
@@philretirellc I’ll be there when Maine gets snow. First stop is the beaver in roxas cause I’m bringing live maine lobster. At 48 trying to get things lined up to make a permanent move. I’ll definitely be using your services. Question, is it possible to have company to see a movie, explore or help to find accommodations while there?
Yes, this was during the pandemic and it went viral. It attracted Ubisoft (the game maker) to them and they asked Chance to write a new shanty for their new game called Skull and Bones. It’s a banger of a new shanty. There are 3 videos for it…one is a short live video for the Ubisoft crowd, one is a lyric video that shows a lot of the game and the last one is the final video of it. It’s great!
These songs are all traditional sea shanties that sailors would sing to keep in rhythm, so there isn't an original recording because they're so old. This was filmed during COVID lockdown, so they all had to costume from what they had in their closets. You can tell who likes to play dress-up (and has big closets) and who doesn't! Chance is dressed as a modern-day merchant marine, the others as various older eras of sailors (not necessarily pirates).
Rob and Chance look like 19th century whalers. Adam looks like an 18th century pirate. And Austin and Tim look like refugees from an off off Broadway show 😂.
Did you notice when Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) was doing castanets? Most reactors I’ve seen were really impressed by that, but you ladies didn’t mention it.

This group is great to watch and listen to. Plus they have a lot of fans who will watch your reactions to their songs.
You ladies are fun! 🙌. When Home Free performs this at their concerts everyone is up dancing and singing it with them.

As a retired sailor, this was fun.
Love the PI😍😍😍😍
You need to check out the live version of this. Also Skull and Bones ☠️
It's not the original but they are the ones you heard on TikTok lol
i promise no guitars were harmed in the filming of this video. Adam Chance has quite a guitar collection and is very protective of them.
@@starcarm wow! That’s great information! Thank you!☺️

Hi Ladies, I am a singer and like older songs, like me😁 from the 1950s, but the song from Frankie Ford from 1959 called Sea Cruise is good 😎
Original? Lol.
