Man this is so encouraging. Seeing old man still eating the iron. I just turned 50 and started lifting again after 2 1/2 years of being sedentary because of covid and homeschooling 3 kids. I just grabbed Todd Swepston basic workout from elitefts. Getting under the bar again is rejuvenation. But damn that mobility sucks. I deadlifted today and it was harder for me to set up than to actually lift. But this interview lighted a fire under my ass
Only 41 here but man some days it feels like I'm training my bones more than anything. I am now part of the "warm-up time > workout time" crew. Still beats resting and rusting 10/10!
41 year old here, nearly two years into training. Haven't felt this young since I was 15. Need more warmup and recovery, but there's lots of good gains in middle age too.
