Denzel is one of a kind generational talent. The fact he left a trail of bodies and as the other criminals walk up he’s just causally and calmly cleaning his hands and his ring is a different level of savagery.
This is a great film.......nice photography of Italy and of course Denzel and his vengeance. It is a satisfying conclusion to the previous two films. "He's a foot too close"...when I was in Recon (1st/2nd Battalion Recon, not Force Recon) in The Corps just after Vietnam, ended we had some specialized interrogation training and the Gentleman doing the training was a Marine Force Recon vet. who was working for the Agency at the time. I still remember him telling us that for anyone you suspect may be highly trained who doesn't have their feet and hands (behind their back) restrained...to always keep a minimum of 8 feet, he preferred 10, of distance when you are armed, as even a highly trained person can't close the distance of 8/10 feet before your brain registers he is coming and raise your at-the-ready firearm and kill him before he takes your weapon and kills you with it.

I think he is the best actor of all lifetimes. Tom Hanks is also one that I regard to be one of the greatest of all time but Denzel in my opinion is in a league of his own.

Anything Denzel, I click. Talk about just one of the best actor's of our lifetime. When I was watching his interaction with that boy, I was telling myself, don't turn your back.
Denzel great job! You bring us the average dude, who has this one talent, the best at what he does. Ironically, as a fan it isn't your priceless smile, but that look of confidence of what is coming next. I am glad to be the spectator, not the victims or the perpetrators, directors note :) is why we love you so much for being so authentic!
Everyone says he's just a good man going after evil, but McCall clearly enjoys what his does and he's really good at it. He KNOWS the criminals will never do "the right thing" and he's counting on it. Imagine how disappointed he'd be if the mafia guys said, "You're right, we'll make everything better now" 😅.
A good point. These movies, a bit like some of Tarantino's, are insidious in that they invite us to be complicit in sadistic violence. They're only criminals/Nazis/slavers, so it is OK to wallow in their pain, they say...
The thing I love about the Equalizer movies is that they can build up characters to look like total badass villains that will be the main antagonist before Denzel just sweeps the floor with them in 3 seconds
And that's why I don't like these movies. In real life he'd get wrecked by a real cartel yet in the movies he's portrayed as being well above a top level hitman. Like the dude literary is portrayed having this all seeing eye bullshit that allows him to see in the future or whatever so corny. Like who does that I love Jason Statham movies, because the dude can really kick ass and gets hurt and ain't using no superpower bullshit.
The reason I'm so into this film is because of the "watch" thing where he sets it and kill everyone. Sadly, we don't get enough of it in this Part 3. The Part 1 is still the best. But, I've enjoyed it all and Denzel is such a great actor.
Why do you like spending your time and money seeing the same movie over and over again. You know he is going to win ever fight and everyone else will die. What's the point. There is no real character development, no story, just a very simple plot line, and a whole bunch of killing we all seen a million times...

I might be wrong too that that was just panic warning shot in the air due to his professional reflection but i believe the former thought.

This is such a spiritual movie. The spiritual warfare is intense. First of all we can not deny his visionary gift but more importantly, notice how he never lies. Everything he says is true in this scene. The man he’s facing however, he’s blind by pride that is why he basks in his apparent “capture” instead of just killing the threat. Notice how Denzel shoots him in his butt and taps the gun; because he’s a man of honor and gives his receivers of retribution the right to see who enacts it. But it’s more deep than that too - notice that Denzel never takes pleasure from this or enjoys it. It’s just business. It’s just the right thing to do.
The way Denzel was walking behind the Boss with that shotgun reminded me of T2 when the T-1000 was walking behind Arnold while he was crawling on the ground 😂😂
McCall knows his sh*t. Instead of ridiculous endless fighting scenes - one more tiring than the other... just sharp and fast. A joy to watch... recommended!

Everyone in the comments talk about these characters as if they are real, or even could be real. Supercilious…Absurd…Asinine. It’s not as bad as Taken 2 and 3, but not as good as John Wick, as that series at least plays off itself as almost a parody, using glaring comic-book style violence and dialogue. Like Taken, this film wants to make you believe an overweight 70 year old is a super assassin who can kill dozens of heavily armed and trained men, using only a stop watch. Really suspends that disbelief…Ffs…

This is a great film.......nice photography of Italy and of course Denzel and his vengeance. It is a satisfying conclusion to the previous two films. Denzel's Equalizer is in the same kind of vein like Matt Damon's Bourne Identity or Keanu Reeves John Wick. Also, a nod to the long-ago Charles Bronson films.

I might be wrong too that that was just panic warning shot in the air due to his professional reflection but i believe the former thought.
Dude you are reading too much into it xD

So realistic action scenes. What I love about Equalizers.
Realistic CGI blood. What a concept.
