Great video by the way! Short, sweet and to the point! Some guys spend half the video cooking!

Thanks! Some hikers like to cook, that's ok too. For example, I like watching @KentSurval videos. He knows how to make really nice food!

Hi Barnaby! Welcome to the channel! ☺️ As I write this, I am in my hammock by a frozen lake. It is forecast to go to -10C tonight. It is very still and clear with a full moon lighting up the landscape. You could walk around with no headlight. Every now and again the. Ice cracks and the sound echoes like a pistol shot. Quite startling!

@@snowcelt That sounds fantastic! The weather there was a little kinder than in Clare last night. Yet more strong winds and rain. -10 in a hammock is cold - hope you made it out with all of your toes!

@@BarnabyNutt I got back this afternoon safe and sound, thanks. My setup was perfect for the conditions so I was warm all night. I filmed the experience so should have that vid uploaded soon. ☺️

I think they're quite common. It was quite tranquil, saw only a few people all day. Just me and nature 👍

I've gotten used to it. I have to be really careful now when I go home and drive in Ireland.

Sounds like a clever idea. I'll have to look into it.

@@snowcelt of all the tops I have the thermal properties of the quick silver one are superior . It also won't ride up to the rib cage .. like others do .
