you can hardly buy any home in Orange County for a million dollars and all new builds, which are going up everywhere between Irvine and Lake Forest, but are more than two million dollars. Irvine is very safe, but Anaheim, Santa Ana are much less safe. Also, the lots for all the homes currently being built are just big enough for a outside eating table and grill, but nothing else. The commute from north Orange to LA is 1.5-2hrs each way. I did it from Anaheim Hills to LAX for years and spent 3-4hrs a day. Mission Viejo is a great area. Yorba Linda is great too.
Huntington Beach still have active oil wells right in middle of Downtown… not sure if I would recommend that to families. Also if your property is on not properly sealed oil well, it can blow up. Do your due diligence first
Irvine is too crowded now. Traffic is so congested on the surface streets it feels more like a city than a suburb. I moved 10 minutes south to Mission Viejo and it has the suburb feel like Irvine used to
You’re right, CA is the best! You’re also correct about Aliso Viejo! In fact, there’s a section of Aliso that’s in the Laguna Beach School District too! Don’t get me wrong, Capo Schools are great, but living in a County of 3M people and sending your kids to a highly rated High School with less than 1,000 students can’t be beat!
The rush hour commute between the north and south county in rush hour is REALLY bad. The 55, 5, and 405 are pretty solid during rush hour. Better if you can take surface streets. I have NEVER a house in Fullerton like you showed. Fullerton was pretty much built out by the late 60s early 70s.
You seemed to overlook sports and the outdoors which is a very strong suit for raising a family and growing old. South OC has a lot of green space which means hiking, running, biking and horseback riding. Youth sports are huge in Mission Viejo and neighboring towns. MV has been home to a swim program that has probably produced more Olympic medals than any other in the world. Youth soccer is the best in the nation. Baseball and football are also very big. This makes for a much more enjoyable high school experience. You failed to mention schools not run by the government as south OC has great private school options and a strong home school environment for the more ambitious. A little more on sports....Mission Viejo hosted a number of Olympic events and was home of the World Cup training 94. Mission Viejo has been selected as the Netherlands for their 2028 training site.
no hb is not locals only, use to be. I beens in hb for 40 years, now lots of people moving here and they have to get 2 jobs just to be able to afford it....

Irvine and Newport are north OC? I consider them more south

I'm glad that you didn't mention the best city in Orange County. We don't want it getting ruined like other OC cities. 😅
I'd love to know your thoughts on where that is?

and there is the occasional dinosaur to consider. You definitely don't want to. live in Huntington Beach. .
@@77space-vt8wi sure, there are residents with very backward thinking present, but you are in Orange County, that is somewhat expected.

Mission Viejo!!! Great city with a powerhouse high school football team
very true!
Love your videos, nice job! Gives me inspiration for my channel. Thanks!

And Amtrak/Metro in San Juan if like a train ride
It's interesting you dodged Santa Ana, Westminster, and Cypress. Reason???
I've done videos on santa ana and Cypress
It’s nice. Dana Point, San Clemente, and even Lake Forrest. Seal Beach is nice too.
I wonder why he didn’t mention Fashion Island?? Overall though,I thought it was a good video 👍!
found a mistake! called the 73 the 5 at 11:50 haha
Is it viable to live in Orange County and study and work in Los Angeles?
Northern OC like anaheim, Fullerton, Orange. Just depends where in LA you work.
The commute will kill you. Freeways close weekly for hours due to wreckless drivers causing mass deadly crushes.

@@sammyocgirl7411 yeah I know, but it should be locals only.
Orange County is like LA but without the LA
I’ve lived here since 1964. You need to do a little bit more digging. there’s so much you missed. there’s no middle class anymore, etc. etc..
Can you lend me a shovel?
yep,,,,alot of people living in cars in parks in HB,,,,oh and if you go your car will get broken into like mine did,,,,and serval of my friends
No thanks
