the golden era, this is by far the best performance I've seen of this band, everything was perfect, the visuals, the sound, the haircuts, even tom's voice was perfectly in tune.
***** that would of helped out the neighborhoods album and the dogs eating dogs ep if he still could I don't think he can his voice is way different now singing wise
I wish Tom could have kept his voice throughout the years. He's doing great here, its a rare thing to find a live performance where he's able to sing well.
he played that all with one foot jesus christ anybody who's a drummer knows that's nuts. The fact he was able to play all of that especially the second song perfectly is amazing. Talent Yolo
I saw them on this tour, and it was the best fucking show I've ever been to! May 29th, 2004 @ Molson Amphitheater in Toronto. LEGENDARY! -Kevin -Academy Killer
I love how travis is always injured in some way but he just won’t stop rocking. So much admiration for his commitment to putting on a good show. He’s been through so much but always finds a way to keep drumming.
they did perform amazing but it doesn't sound like the studio recording at all? the studio recording is acoustic, and nothing like the extra improvisation section they added at the end of the song (which sounds AMAZING btw)
@@VeryViking blink always plays live. I have never seen a blink show where they made backtrack or playback. Maybe just for some background additional sounds, but not for the whole song
this was the first time I saw blink live when I was in high school. the show was sick! Travis has a drum set that spun upside down and went up and down all with a broken foot!..happy I can relive this time....
Best live performance Ive ever seen. Epic on the end of I miss you...Havent seen them do the same intro again and the rock show is Legendary in this performance. God Damn!!!
@MarioMarvels I hate how you people try and claim how vocalists voices are "edited" or whatever you wanna call it. You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, slight pitch correction is used. But in order for it to sound this good, the vocals need to be sung well in the first place. Pitch correction isn't a magic tool that makes you sound amazing when you sound shitty, it just enhances what is already there. And for those who wanna say this is overdubbed, literally look at how they are playing and singing, it obviously isn't.
I think they put alot of effort into this preformance because they knew millions of people would be watching... Best show they have ever done besides Big Day Out @ Australia.
i wasnt watching the first half of the video then i switched back to this tab and i was absolutely amazed at the sound of that bass! it sounds so close to his signature!
Still don't understand why they sound so fucking good at this gig. Normally Blink-182 are pretty shite live, always has been, even though I grew up with Blink and fucking adore em' :)
Just listen to Tom at any other blink concert, watch this performance and then the 2001 chicago performances.. you can tell they are edited by how perfectly he hits the notes.. same goes for the MTTS album
Max Kull-Sandin You can tell that the chorus in I miss you is lip sync and Tom's guitar is on playback. When Tom sings "Inside my head" he holds the note in "head" longer than he stays at the mic. If that makes sense. You can tell his guitar is on playback because in recent shows he can't help but look at the notes he's playing, just to make sure he doesn't play the wrong notes. Here, he just closes his eyes. The but rest of the song is normal. And thankfully Blink play completely live now.
Alaska Grown They hated each other after the tour they went on actually. So it wasn't until way after this performance that they had started to not get along.
If you guys buy/download the greatest hits Japanese bonus version, this song actually comes with it (this performance of I Miss You) at its best quality!
This is definitely the best TV performance from Blink before the breakup. Of course, there's pitch correction on both vocals to make it "TV presentable", but both songs were spot on.
I've always wondered if Mark or Travis have ever brought up Tom's inability to sing well live consistently. Just slip it into conversation that sometimes his singing isn't good and work from there. They probably won't and I've heard that he sounds good if you actually go to the concert... So I guess I'll see very soon! (PUT THE ROCK SHOW ON SPEED 1.25 +, IT'S AWESOME!!!)
Ohh man, those were the good times. Good thing I got to see them live when the setlist was like 25-27 songs long, and they played them all fast as hell so you couldn't notice the change in Tom's voice.
@iDillo17 Yeh it is basically a 6 string bass using lighter strings then a normal Bass but still in the bass octaves give a cool bright sound and sounds great in this.
Lets all just pause for a moment and realize that there was a time you could turn on your tv and see stuff like this...
haha yeah when people were more into actually cool events on tv with music
besides obviously new years concerts
Let’s all just pause and agree that this comment is more relevant now than 7 years Ago
8 years later and this comment couldn’t be more true.
2023 and I'm watching TH-cam in my TV
Toms voice is crystal in this performance
like crystal pepsi? lol
Pack your staff Alex you're fired
HAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
like crystal methamphetamin
He was baked hahahaha
Hands down Tom's best Vocal performance probably ever
You're so fcking right!
Dylan Samaniego Pretty sure his vocals are over dubbed. watch closely
Dylan Samaniego when he isnt overly drunk or fucking about he is actually a great performer^^
Mitchul ur wrong lol
Mitchul Tyler yeah his mic is definitely running through some vocal enhancement software
the golden era, this is by far the best performance I've seen of this band, everything was perfect, the visuals, the sound, the haircuts, even tom's voice was perfectly in tune.
Best performance of theirs, for sure.
"My foot got stuck in Tom's butt."
He has a sense of humor?
Haha XD
TheTurtleneck64 😂😂
TheTurtleneck64 even they seemed taken back by it
Yep, it looks like a pretty awkward moment for all four involved.
He tried but... It's just not his thing xD
Tom’s laugh tho
the bridge to rock show is so beautiful in this
Tom looks and sounds like a god on this video. They are all at the very peak of Blink-182
***** that would of helped out the neighborhoods album and the dogs eating dogs ep if he still could I don't think he can his voice is way different now singing wise
PcookieHOLLA Thats what drugs does to you. Toms still a beast though.
Travis doesn't need two legs to rock the fuck out of those drums.
Clayton Saint Cyr he's insane. He also did a drum solo on this tour too. One foot. Insane
the best perfomance of I Miss You ever!
Howabout The Rock Show with the extended bridge?
I love the part where Tom sings "She kept me waiting..."
randys950 the rock show, too lml
I wish Tom could have kept his voice throughout the years. He's doing great here, its a rare thing to find a live performance where he's able to sing well.
its cuz this has autotune(sorry for a 10 year late reply btw)
@@Borax15one year later. It's overdubbed.
1:04 her reaction to Travis getting his foot stuck in Tom's butt is priceless
😂😂😂
he played that all with one foot jesus christ anybody who's a drummer knows that's nuts. The fact he was able to play all of that especially the second song perfectly is amazing. Talent Yolo
Miss you guys... I miss you so badly!
This is definitely the best live performance I've seen them have, on TH-cam at least.
8:42 "say hi to travis!" never gets old at their shows lmao
and it never should! ;)
No one should forget about Mark’s friend Travis
The fact that Tom can't sing is the reason they sound so good.
+BrokenAge he has unique voice
+MrDjambronk he definetly figured out how to use it to his advantage. that second song is impressive although yes lol he cannot sing.
+BrokenAge lol sound so good ?wtf this crap didnt sound at all.. this isnt even a music
Yes. I loved his singing in the newstuff
2020, someone? I miss you Tom
I saw them on this tour, and it was the best fucking show I've ever been to! May 29th, 2004 @ Molson Amphitheater in Toronto. LEGENDARY!

I come back to this video every now and again.
Am i the only one that thinks that EVERYTHING about this performance is better than the way Blink does shows now?
'I miss you' sounded exactly like the studio recorded track. They sang really well here!
+MuFc mAtt Maybe it was just a backing track xD
they did perform amazing but it doesn't sound like the studio recording at all? the studio recording is acoustic, and nothing like the extra improvisation section they added at the end of the song (which sounds AMAZING btw)
It's pre recorded
@@VeryViking blink always plays live. I have never seen a blink show where they made backtrack or playback. Maybe just for some background additional sounds, but not for the whole song
@@armandofdz8with the strange exception of their live album which is almost entirely re-recorded.

any one else go to this show!?
Last video, broken arm (at Lettermann's).
This video, broken leg.
Awesomeness at drumming? 110%.
Travis, you're the man!
Blink should record this version of I Miss You in the studio. This is a totally new and evolved Blink sound that's too awesome.
Best live performance Ive ever seen. Epic on the end of I miss you...Havent seen them do the same intro again and the rock show is Legendary in this performance. God Damn!!!
they sound really good in this one!!! no matter how the sound they will always be my favorite
The alarm sounding at 5:30am and blink 182 on the radio. Getting ready to head up to school. Dreams about having a punk band. Ealy 2000s !
I really love Travis when he interrupt someone talking with his drum intros.
this performance of the rock show never fails to waken me up or cheer me up. Its magic you could say, a gift from god
best tom delonge has ever sounded live
bring back the ol' school blink 182
Check out their new album....it's sorta in that direction
+Amir Gurung IT really isn't
Jancoookkk
for their albums they should all be recorded live....fucking awesome live.....come to NY so i can friggin see you guys in person
Still come back here to watch this video time and time again. Hands down, PEAK blink era.
Why can't Tom sing this good live lately!!?
Grew up
Coachella was refreshing, he sounded great!
Looks like The Rock Show is being played at 2.0x speed
both of the songs are played in 2.0x speed lol, dunno why though.
so that they can squeeze in songs in a tv show that has limited time
Marc-André Lafleur they played them fast cause the always wanted the shows to be done they couldn't stand each other
theyve had 1:20 hour shows with 30 songs, good energy
punk rock man
This is Blink-182 at its peak. It doesn’t get any better than this!
Such an amazing show! Travis rocking while on a crutch, nothing can stop him!
havnt watched this vid for 2 years, its still AWESOME as always
With effort, Tom can sing album quality live.
apparently tom and travis where smoking bongs with cypress hill just minutes before this performance, nice and loose hahaha
TWOSIXFIVE Damn, Tom should of stuck with the weed and left the pain meds alone.
He is what he is. Rough around the edges and obviously never fully committed to be a consistent singer.
@MarioMarvels I hate how you people try and claim how vocalists voices are "edited" or whatever you wanna call it. You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, slight pitch correction is used. 16 year old video and this is still the best blink performance I keep coming back to watch.
I think they put alot of effort into this preformance because they knew millions of people would be watching... Best show they have ever done besides
Big Day Out @ Australia.
This is the fastest rock show they've played, back in the day when they still jumped around the stage,
Irrational Man Probably cause they had only a little time left to play?
Probably because they were young and didn't give a fuck
Best "I Miss You" live performance ever.
Travis is always there giving his best, without a leg, without a hand, he is always there. He is a fucking beast
I was 2 years old and about 13 miles away from this show 😂😭 now I’m 20 years old about to see them here in May, man does time fly.
"My foot got stuck in Toms butt."
-Travis
gibson + dirty fingers + mesa boogie = magic. I miss that sound
marshall cab!
Its moments like this that make me believe this truly is the best band in the world.
mark playing that fender bass 6
Saw the same bass at guitar center a few weeks ago. Pretty nice!
i wasnt watching the first half of the video then i switched back to this tab and i was absolutely amazed at the sound of that bass! it sounds so close to his signature!
"what's this for? who are you guys? what are you filming? what do you want from me?" hahahaha!! gotta love tom
This performance has a tonne of pitch correction. That's why it sounds so clean.
words dont even describe how epic that performance of rock show was
they played The Rock Show flipping fast! haha
THIS IS THE BLINK I GREW UP WITH!!!! I MIGHT CRY
tom at 1:42, "What's this for? who are you guys, what are you filming and what do you want from me?" HAHAHAHA
The way Tom plays the bridge in Rock Show gives us a little taste of what his next album would sound like... (wink wink nudge nudge)
Miss this era off blink....
mark with that bass vi
Holy fuck. I got chills. This was so good.

"the voice inside my yead"
oh look at that, travis' vocal chords actually work
Ron Alderhoffer dont want to be the asshole to correct, but everyone else i think he meant tom
xBenty no I think he was referring to how Travis never talks
xBenty ew an anti tom!! no wonder hes a lee sin player smh XD
"what are you filming? what do you want from me?" lol
I am glad they're happier with each other and keeping their projects alive.Angels and Airwaves rocks :D
Wtf they were playing The Rock Show very fast :D
they played both pretty fast
***** because of adrenaline dude everything is sped up live thats how our band is
kalebloftin987 I think it was because they wanted to get off the stage. They like hated each other after that album.

3 years later. They played it fast to get off TV, the faster the song the sooner its over.
Skiba cant do that kind of shit toms doing
truly Matthew Thomas skiba can't do what Thomas Matthew Delonge can he Matt fucked up I miss you's lyrics!!!! I miss this blink
He changes the lyrics on purpose a lot. It's intentional.
Tom can't do that shit nowadays anyway.
Guitar playing yes he can! Singing well that's open to debate. I however do really the Tom's old high range so there's that as well.
yeah...today's tom can't, also.
