There is a pure faith fist weapon in the round table called cipher pata. Requires 30fth and does pure holy dmg. Haven’t upgraded it to max yet but being a fist weapon it’s great for spamming down normal enemies and isn’t as great on bosses. When you two hand it it becomes dual wield holy claws and the skill on it does a forward holy thrust that casts out in front of the end of the weapon

The other cool thing about the winged scythe is that when using angels wings, it adds an effect that won't allow enemies to use flasks for a certain amount of time. That includes in pvp!

@@Imlogini so confessor is just your starting class and not your build. That’s why he asked that. So you’re probably either making a faith build or a paladin build
I’m not as far as you in the game but a PSA to add for the winged scythe for everyone considering it: 1.) That unique spinning attack is also amazing dealing with NPC invaders (and potentially players as well) because when you land it it prevents the enemy from healing for a good while. For souls vets it’s like hitting them with a Lloyd talisman. For example that invader in round table with the frostbite and bleed. They normally chug a flask mid fight, but if you hit them with that attack and proc the bleed it eviscerates them. 2.) At least for me one of the huge draws of using that scythe is it actually has quite a bit of stagger potential. When I first went to stormveil and was getting slapped by those knights every weapon wouldn’t stop their attacks so they’d hit right through and wreck me. Then the scythe almost every hit would interrupt them making them leagues more manageable. This point is more for dex/faith ppl as str/faith aren’t going to have any issues pancaking enemies.
What is a good build for a melee scythe player? i am getting the game today and wanted to get some research going for it. can i duel wield the grave and winged? and if so what is a good build for it? what class should i start with? i looked at either the confessor or the other guy but i cant decide
@@TheReaperOfChess Well that depends, mainly on wether you want to have faith as a part of your build or not. The winged scythe we are talking about scales with faith and requires 24 faith just to use properly. That being said you can definitely still have a hybrid build where you primarily fight melee and just use faith for buffs/heals. For this option I’d pick confessor, then go for a fth/dex build If you are just trying to dual wield scythes with no faith/magic you’d want to skip this scythe, grab two others and do a pure dex build
@@TheReaperOfChess I’m doing a dex/faith build with bandit, dual wield holy bleeding scythe, archery and dragon incantations. Might be weaker than other classes at early game, but OP from mid-game onwards imo.

How are your stats spread or what are your main target numbers? Im especially curious since you’re throwing dragon in there and would love to give that combo a whirl. Right now I’m only ~lv45, with just enough str/dex to wield the scythe and like 30 fth lol.
The Inseparable Sword (Greatsword) that you get from finishing Fia’s quest line if you handed over twinned armor is a great faith weapon. It scales to B-faith scaling and has sacred blade ash of war which adds more faith damage. Mine’s sitting at 762 damage with a 38 faith score
Mine is at 857 (without buff) while using the holy talisman (forgot the name but it’s the one that increases holy damage at the cost of physical negation) and buffed it’s at 960. Using a wonder flask it’s at 1080.
@@icecreaman805 yeah it kinda pisses me off when I have hyper poise and armor and am mid swing with a great sword and get staggered then I watch someone with a DAGGER stagger someone. Pisses me off that they didn’t balance strength shit more appropriately for pve it’s almost impossible if you don’t build your character right..
I'm using the winged scythe on my faith build and this thing is unreal. That starting sword had me struggling but as soon as I hit that 24 faith and got radagons soreseal I became a dang reaper. It shreds bosses
@@Mr88Andrew88 Only the faster weapons have lower than that blood loss except for one, the Hookclaw which has the highest attack speed while also the highest buildup, since when two handing it the blood loss buildup is actually quicker to proc.
Blasphemous Blade is easily the best. Great stats especially when upgrading, A top tier AoW, High Stagger and probably the best perk for endgame content, Healing on mob kill. I have started to upgrade my Black Blade aswell to duel wield and they hit like a truck. Also for potential PVP builds, The Uchi and Nagi duel wield with Sacred AoWs put on them, Super fast duel attacks, Bleed buildup, Great range. Slice and Dice opponents
I use powerstanced blasphemous blade RH with sacred claymore LH. At 50 fai 40 str they both hit for over 700 without any buffs, with buffs they are insane. Jumping attack with powerstanced greatswords does insane stagger damage too
This comment itself is like 100x more helpful than this bs video. I used every weapon that he listed and they are trash. In the other hand blasphemous blade is god tier but it kinda sucks that its only flame dmg so flame resistant enemies can be tough. My other advices are maliketh's blackblade(1 full skill can deal up to 6k dmg) and godslayer's greatsword( little bit slow but it hits harder than maliketh and its black flame) these are the only 3 weapons you need in faith build
@@mustafabalc4951 how? This is a decent guide with the best weapons on it minus 1. The blasphemous blade is good but the winged scythe in pvp and pve is better. Having a normal weapon with faith scaling yet still getting bloodhound step is priceless. Coded sword for turtles and in general just bad ass looking amazing. Teaching u where to get the item to add faith scaling on random items let’s u do your own customization. Why u mad over the 1 weapon that clicked for you? This is a guide for all types of styles and players
Not only mob kill, it heals you every time you use the AoW. And not some low numbers, easily around 100-200 HP. Love that weapon. Is slow, though, and not for every situation.

I can confirm the wing scythe on a faith build is actually ridiculously good. Didn’t believe it at first but then I tried it and it’s nutty, the fact you also get bleed is just *fat chefs kiss*
It's been my main weapon since I started. Lvl 75 now and it's just to slow, can't even use it at full potential unless you two hand it, and you can't equip ash of war. But I really haven't found any other weapon, hence why I'm here lol
@@gamebreaker60 You can equip it with the Brass Shield, or any shield that have "No Skill" Ash of War. Your Left Trigger will used the right hand weapon Ash of War
I got that Winged Scythe yesterday and got my Faith up enough to equip it today. Didn't get to mess with it too much but I am looking forward to leveling it up from now on.
@@NoOne-fo1di It's very good, you can stagger all the basic NPC Invaders with the Weapon Art and stunlock them to death just spamming it as the AI has no idea how to dodge it once you get the first swing in of the Weapon Art in. Just the basic 1H R1 can stagger most medium sized enemies. The downsides is it sometimes hard to hit flying things on the horse and the swings can have a hard time hitting very agile enemies like those dam rabid dogs!
Tbh when I found the winged scythe, I KNEW it was gonna be in my dex/faith build just because the weapon art looked cool. I had no idea it’d be so optimal I just thought the moveset looked fun.
Personally on my faith build I’m loving the night Calvary’s flail . And yea the sleeping dragon that everyone is bleeding for that 72k souls atm does have a huge hp pool so his bleeds are wild
The winged scythe has absolutely changed my play through experience. The ash of war is sooo good and it’s incredible to find a weapon that scaled with faith, does bleed damage without using a bleed ash of war, and has a sick animation that hits twice and closes distance. It’s only +3 for me now but it’s almost too strong, i’m shredding bosses left and right now
wait until you get the Halo Scythe from the Cleanrot Knights in Caelid blood swamp, Ive replaced my wing scythe with that as its holy attack is SOOOO much better.
There's an awesome strength/faith warhammer called Envoy's Long Horn, you farm it from the horn-blowing enemies in Leyndell city, the special attack blows faith bubbles at the enemy and does huge damage and staggers easily if it lands, plus it sounds and looks glorious lol
I've just been using the cipher Pata for most of my playthrough. It does require a certain type of playstyle to use a claw weapons but the cipher Pata has fantastic faith scaling and you can easily stun lock enemies through sheer number of attacks you throw out. It also has a rly powerful unblockable attack and most shields are pretty much ineffective against its normal attacks as well as they just do faith dmg.

Also a big fan of the cipher pata. It may or may not be optimal but I have cipher pata in my right hand finger seal in the left for healing/longer range spells

you can also get a halo scythe that drops from cleanrot knights, it's super powerful and it's unique ability is really good at taking out enemies from range. The only real downside is that it requires somber stones to upgrade.
Weapons that use somber stones are way easier to upgrade compared to ones that don't. I was able to upgrade like 10 weapons to +9 (somber maxes at +10) naturally in the game by the time I beat it. I was barely able to upgrade 3 weapons to +24 with regular stones.
The sword you get from rykard has faith scaling and nothing crazy stat wise but its ash of war is absolutely nuts. I just beat the game with it 100% recommend.
@@saifeddinechahin1288 If you mean all the normal ashes that you pick up, usually you find them from killing the white round beetles that disappear if you don’t hit them. If you mean for the rykard sword, that weapon comes with a special weapon art that only it has.
There's a talisman that boosts Holy damage (in return for taking more damage yourself). You can find it kinda early, if I remember correctly. I think you can pair that up with the Coded Sword for better damage.
There’s another talisman that boosts almost all of your stats by 5 in the fort near the beast sanctum. I pair that with the holy talisman and honestly I don’t feel a huge difference in the damage I take, I just deal a ton more damage. I’d say it’s definitely worth it. Add that to Goodriks rune and you’re basically 20 levels higher than you actually are

Winged Scythe is great for invaders, because of how you can switch targets during the skill. I got so many hosts by wacking the summon with the first hit, baiting a backstab from the host, then switching lockon to the host behind me and just eviscerating them with the flying follow up. They can never see it coming because the user doesnt change facing till he final charge The range is also enough to cross small gaps via flying which is just awesome.
Hey Moxsy, could I put forward a request? Just segment your videos for this - I love how informative and extensive you are, but I personally want to experience as much of Elden Ring for myself on my first playthrough as possible. Yet I just need that Elden Ring content. So, a list is okay, but the "how to get" parts I just skip and hope I don't skip right into anything spoilery.
Or not it's annoying when people say this weapons cool then not mention how or where to get it elden ring is a big map if you want to just find stuff then do it I don't see how mentioning a location is a spoiler there is no story involved just pointing out a spot on the map

The halo scythe is my favorite early/mid game faith weapon it’s weapon art absolutely shreds through bosses. I beat starscourge my second try mainly spamming its weapon art
This is very likely a later weapon but Eclipse Shotel is a very intersting and deadly weapon, it's weapon art is a buff giving the weapon the capability to apply elden rings variant if curse, the instant death effect once build up the enemy or enemy player just instantly dies.
@@azz111full consistency on hitting them often is usually what will allow it to happen. Some enemies are resistant to it and it takes longer I think. I fought a boss recently and it wasent until it was 20% health where the bleed proc hit and it straight up killed it. On medium health enemies hitting for a bunch quickly you will have a harder time noticing unless you get a lot of quick hits in. Duel wielding bleed weapons is sick
Boost arcane. That helps bleed proc quicker, get a good bleed weapon Anastasia Twinblade, Rivers of Blood maybe even Ghiza wheel if you’re memeimg Or a standard weapon, uchi, Scythe then infuse the weapon with bleed to make it better
Your videos are definitely a big help to someone that is fairly new to souls games i played i bit of ds 3 but never completed it. Knowing where to find stuff is a big help.
I agree with this list. The scythe basically mimics the Bloohound Fang with the added bonus of scaling with faith, making it easily a great choice for early/midgame. The ash of war it has is incredible too.
The blasphemous sword is pretty great too. The weapon art does a lot of damage, has great range, and heals you when you land it on enemies. You need 22 str to wield it but that's worth it imo
Grab the strength talisman, I already got my strength to 16 to wield the winged scythe and the talisman gives +5 strength only need one more level into it personally.
I just wanted to mention that you can use flame ashes of war if you've unlocked flame art which gives I faith scaling instead of its normal scaling. This can help against enemies that are resistant to holy damage but not flame, and generally the damage base is higher with flame art before resists are added

The regular scythe plus the ash of war you get from Knight Loretta is pretty comparable to the winged scythe, plus you can coat the blade using spells without having to get all the way to the capital for the sacred whetstone
Recently been using dual Coded Swords+10 on ng+ with 80 faith, sacred scorpion charm, Erdtree Seal+10, physick flask (Faith Knot Crystal Tear and Holy Shrouding Cracked Tear), and Golden Vow incantation. Start by using flask then cast Golden Vow, and you'll get damage ranging at 700-800+ per sword. I wouldn't say that it's the best faith weapon in the game, but it's pretty fun to use and it can melt health bars in pvp. Pretty good in pve, just not with gargoyle bosses or anyone resistant to holy dmg.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the halo scythe. It’s ridiculously powerful for a ranged weapon and I’ve used it alone to down bosses from magma wyrms to morgott. The best part about it is it’s damage output and scaling of its ranged attack and the fact that it takes such little fp to cast and relies mainly on stamina, you’re almost constantly attacking. Pair that with a good summon to hold aggro and you can just go to town on anything in front of you.
The halo scythe is pretty good too. I've been using its weapon art to shred in pve. It can also be pretty good in pvp if the other dude doesn't know how to dodge.
I'd like to ask for an honorable mention for the Blasphemous Blade and its crazy weapon art, and another one for the Sword of Night and Flame, even tho it's more for Int/Faith hybrids, it's still a great weapon, even after the recent nerfs.
I've been using the Magma Wyrm Greatsword and that thing is a beast! It does crazy physical and fire damage, scales really well and has a great ash of war, not to mention it looks badass haha

@@Monsters I'm about to do Caelid but was thinking of going Mt. Gelmir first to get the Blasphemous blade. I have the magma wyrm scalesword to +6 and am around level 77. Would you say I should go Mt. Gelmir or Caelid first?
@@jamielee5695 i’d say go get blasphemous blade first, he’s pretty easy at your level, just make sure you use the weapon you get when entering the boss room, then upgrade it a few times and it will be a breeze
Another scythe that is hailed as the ultimate scythe in Fromsoft games is the Halo Scythe. You get it from knights in Caelid, it’s Ash is a long range attack, with bleed (naturally), good scaling and damage. Add a Gold Vow spell to increase damage, and you become a holy blender.

Cool video im glad i took the time to get the winged scythe for my profit, i was useing Grave scythe with faith ash you mentioned (sacred blade) it throws a faith slash at a distance then imbues the blade with faith damage for a extended duration of time plus with bleed from The scythe. its hard to decide what i like more grave can use various ashes! As i go further time will show me more im sure. i also love the same ash on the uchi katana and used that for quite a long time it just dosent hit like the scythes they take massive chunks.subbed!
I want to throw in the Magmaworm's Scaled Sword it has faith scaling C but does bonus fire dmg instead of holy. It is a Curved Great Sword and requires 24 str, 15 dex, 18 fai but this thing slaps.
Yeah and the moveset is absolutely amazing with insanely quick wide attacks. Easilly best faith big sword in the game alongside sword of night and flame.
Does the fire damage scale with faith then? Scaling is so confusing in these games. Literally the last thing I did was beat that boss and get this sword so now I'm gonna +4 it and try it out I think.
I've been using the Winged Scythe as a Dex/Fai build. I'm just around Lv50 but it does major work. Apart from hurling fireballs and poking things with the longbow to get their attention, everything else is handled by this. I do need to use its AoW more, though... Speaking of, on top of being fantastic damage/bleed, the AoW also prevents invaders/opponents from using their flasks. Very fun to hit an invader with it, then as they run away to try and sip you hurl a lightning spear at em.
i've been doing pretty good with that. I'm mostly faith and then a decent amount in vigor/mind. the special attack is insane, and they look awesome, like if wolverine had lightsabers.
Theres a Morningstar in a carriage near castle morne that is a good 1H sword like alternative, it has bleed as well…but what I’m using now is a sacred claymore. I just love the poking roll that its move-set has very good for poking bosses.
5:38 THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID. I am now a sacred shinobi of the lightning and it’s so fun. I also keep the Cipher Pata on my right hand secondary so I can whip out pure faith unblockable assassin’s creed gauntlets. It’s such a nutty play style and so fun. I have exactly the minimum strength and dex required to wield the uchi and every other bit of damage comes from my faith. I have bloodhound step on right katana with faith scaling, and sacred blade on left hand katana. While I’m dual wielding I teleport. If I left hand 2 hand I can shoot the sacred blade arc and buff up.
@@marcossimonetto2688 yeah bro. You can change the affinity your weapon scales with when you change the ash of war. There are I think 5 different whetstone blades that unlock new affinities. If you want faith scaling you’ll want to find the sanctified whetstone. But it’s in the capital and getting in there can be a challenge. The fire whetstone blade is in Redmayne castle and the magic whetstone blade is in raya lucaria. Can’t remember the rest but I remember finding the first 3 easily.
Meanwhile I fell in love with the Godslayer Greatsword. It deals massive physical and massive blackflame damage. It's supposed to be a late game boss weapon but you can get it decently early in the game. Spoiler as where it is: Southern East at the bottom of the divine tower you have to first climb up, only to get all the way to the bottom of it where a certain extremely frequently used boss awaits you. If you have trouble defeating him, either use a tanky ash or get a friend as you can easily aggro him by a single plunge attack meaning whenever he attacks who or whatever you brought with you, you can easily punish him, steal the aggro and reverse. The weapon you get hits like a truck and the weapon art hits even harder since blackflame is rarely resisted by bosses at all. It also grants you the best incarnation . . . Thing! (Please correct me, I forgot the name of these things!) I used to just be a dex build, this weapon alone is the whole reason I went with faith. It's strong, it's big, it hits like a truck and on horse back / if you go for heavy jump attacks, you're bound to stagger bosses at least once or twice if you don't kill them faster. The weapon art will also pierce blocks and almost guarantee to deal afterburn too. I am maybe a bit too enthusiastic over this weapon but for a weapon you can get so early it's still absolutely relevant in the late game.
And good recommendation for str + faith? I am using the golden knight great sword, the one that roams outside the artists shack(where you get your first lightning tome)
Another recommendation is the Golden Epitaph. A straight sword found behind a Stonesword Door in Auriza Hero's Grave in Leyndell. At +9 I'm getting 500+ AR and I've had immense luck with it, especially in PvP. The weapon art is the same as the Golden Halberd, a buff to you and teammates that increases attack and defense.
I think the Cipher Pata is one the better weapons for Faith as well, mostly because it has 0 weight so if you have a slot for it, you can always have an unblockable weapon equipped
Doing my first ever faith build, mainly cause I wanted to roll Pyro yet again, but loving the Winged Scythe! Didn't realize it has bleed buildup. Also, I need to know what armor you have on, cause it's exactly the type of style I've been looking for.
Albreicht's Armor set. Roundtable hold area in capital city same place he got the Coded blade. It's the same armor the invader Mad Albreicht is wearing in the safe zone roundtable hold we stay in.
Winged Scythe carried me so much through the game and I still equip it whenever I have to deal with a tough invader or such. I eventually got the Gargoyle's Blackblade but wasn't very fond of it to be honest. I then used the Black Knife for a while and it's STRONG. I'd still be using it if I hadn't gotten the Blasphemous sword for sure. I used Cipher Pata early a lot but since it deals only holy damage without any physical at all it really doesn't hold up against other faith scaling weapons and since the Coded Sword is the same I never felt like trying that one as well. Having an unblockable attack is nice though. As for the whetblade, there are ashes of war you can't give faith scaling. Usually the ones that already come with a native int scaling like frost stomp and such.
Pure damage of one type is often an advantage. It can sometimes outdamage a higher AR with split damage. The Coded Sword and Cipher Pata are best suited for builds with really high Faith stats, like 60 to 80. It would be great for a caster with more investment in Faith and Mind but not so much STR and DEX. They also work well as a lightweight backup weapon.
@@AKSBSU it really doesn't. I have 62 faith currently and they do less damage than any of my split damage weapons. The thing is that the damage of those weapons isn't really split, it's almost doubled. No enemy is so resistant to physical damage that a pure holy damage weapon would ever outdamage a phys/holy weapon. If you take those weapons it's really just for the unblockable skill.
Feel like the sword of night and flame should be on here. It requires 24 int as well as 24 faith so I had to respec for it but the ash of war demolishes stuff it was so worth it. Has magic and flame damage options for stuff that's resistant to one or the other and both are hitting for 1200+ for me at only level 60
Sword of Night and Flame should be on this list, shouldn't it? It scales very well with faith. Also for late game weapons, I think Golden Order Greatsword might be the best weapon in the game.

so would you say that it's better to have the winged scythe in your main hand? compared to you last faith build guide that you had the normal scythe with sacred blade ash of war as main hand with winged scythe as off hand. also would you say it's better to just two hand the winged scythe or power stance winged scythe with normal scythe? thanks!

Not to do with faith builds but adding frost ash of war to a flail or any weapon with innate bleed, can do wonderful damage, I tend to use spinning weapon ash of war with it. Thanks for the video !
Take a look at sword of night and flame int/faith scaling c at +3 its insanly powerfull. Margrit in 3 aow hits Edit: it is op but my friend used it on a fast boss he didnt get any chance to hit it and did it more than 20+ times to beat it i did it with dual katana bleed buff and beat him in the 2nd time
Just a note: Mixed damage historically isn't good in soulsborne games. If you can do 400 holy or do 200 physical and 200 holy, unless what you are fighting is really good against specifically holy, you are better off just going with the one 400 holy weapon because enemies will resist both damage types separately.
as true as that is, i havent fought a single enemy that resists holy, iv seen a few that resists slash, but iv curb stomped everything so far with the golden halberd (40 str 25 fai) its at +6 right now and close to 650 ar. most enemies die to a single jump attack and bosses take around 400+ damage a hit
Been having some good luck with the Halo Scythe. Looks absolutely sick and has a deceptively effective weapon art that applies bleed. Can't change the weapon art and it takes Somber stones for upgrades, but at level 75, I'm sold on the Cleanrot fashion.

The banished knight greatsword is also good . It doesn't have a passive but it scales with faith better the scythe

I’m not as far as you in the game but a PSA to add for the winged scythe for everyone considering it:
1.) That unique spinning attack is also amazing dealing with NPC invaders (and potentially players as well) because when you land it it prevents the enemy from healing for a good while. For souls vets it’s like hitting them with a Lloyd talisman. For example that invader in round table with the frostbite and bleed. They normally chug a flask mid fight, but if you hit them with that attack and proc the bleed it eviscerates them.
2.) At least for me one of the huge draws of using that scythe is it actually has quite a bit of stagger potential. When I first went to stormveil and was getting slapped by those knights every weapon wouldn’t stop their attacks so they’d hit right through and wreck me. Then the scythe almost every hit would interrupt them making them leagues more manageable. This point is more for dex/faith ppl as str/faith aren’t going to have any issues pancaking enemies.
What is a good build for a melee scythe player? i am getting the game today and wanted to get some research going for it. can i duel wield the grave and winged? and if so what is a good build for it? what class should i start with? i looked at either the confessor or the other guy but i cant decide

@@TheReaperOfChess Well that depends, mainly on wether you want to have faith as a part of your build or not. The winged scythe we are talking about scales with faith and requires 24 faith just to use properly. That being said you can definitely still have a hybrid build where you primarily fight melee and just use faith for buffs/heals. For this option I’d pick confessor, then go for a fth/dex build
If you are just trying to dual wield scythes with no faith/magic you’d want to skip this scythe, grab two others and do a pure dex build

Im especially curious since you’re throwing dragon in there and would love to give that combo a whirl. Right now I’m only ~lv45, with just enough str/dex to wield the scythe and like 30 fth lol.
The Inseparable Sword (Greatsword) that you get from finishing Fia’s quest line if you handed over twinned armor is a great faith weapon. It scales to B-faith scaling and has sacred blade ash of war which adds more faith damage. Mine’s sitting at 762 damage with a 38 faith score

Mine is at 857 (without buff) while using the holy talisman (forgot the name but it’s the one that increases holy damage at the cost of physical negation) and buffed it’s at 960. Using a wonder flask it’s at 1080.
@@icecreaman805 yeah it kinda pisses me off when I have hyper poise and armor and am mid swing with a great sword and get staggered then I watch someone with a DAGGER stagger someone. Pisses me off that they didn’t balance strength shit more appropriately for pve it’s almost impossible if you don’t build your character right..
I'm using the winged scythe on my faith build and this thing is unreal. That starting sword had me struggling but as soon as I hit that 24 faith and got radagons soreseal I became a dang reaper. It shreds bosses
Hemorrahge does scale with the opponents HP. The 13k dmg of the elder dragon can be achieved with any weapon that deals blood dmg

@@Mr88Andrew88 Only the faster weapons have lower than that blood loss except for one, the Hookclaw which has the highest attack speed while also the highest buildup, since when two handing it the blood loss buildup is actually quicker to proc.
Blasphemous Blade is easily the best. Great stats especially when upgrading, A top tier AoW, High Stagger and probably the best perk for endgame content, Healing on mob kill. I have started to upgrade my Black Blade aswell to duel wield and they hit like a truck. Also for potential PVP builds, The Uchi and Nagi duel wield with Sacred AoWs put on them, Super fast duel attacks, Bleed buildup, Great range. Slice and Dice opponents
I use powerstanced blasphemous blade RH with sacred claymore LH. At 50 fai 40 str they both hit for over 700 without any buffs, with buffs they are insane. Jumping attack with powerstanced greatswords does insane stagger damage too

This comment itself is like 100x more helpful than this bs video. I used every weapon that he listed and they are trash. In the other hand blasphemous blade is god tier but it kinda sucks that its only flame dmg so flame resistant enemies can be tough. My other advices are maliketh's blackblade(1 full skill can deal up to 6k dmg) and godslayer's greatsword( little bit slow but it hits harder than maliketh and its black flame) these are the only 3 weapons you need in faith build
@@mustafabalc4951 how? This is a decent guide with the best weapons on it minus 1. The blasphemous blade is good but the winged scythe in pvp and pve is better. Having a normal weapon with faith scaling yet still getting bloodhound step is priceless. Coded sword for turtles and in general just bad ass looking amazing. Teaching u where to get the item to add faith scaling on random items let’s u do your own customization. Why u mad over the 1 weapon that clicked for you? This is a guide for all types of styles and players
Not only mob kill, it heals you every time you use the AoW. And not some low numbers, easily around 100-200 HP. Love that weapon. Is slow, though, and not for every situation.

I mean, armor doesn't do anything but add defensive stats, so there isn't a "best" for faith. Just wear what you like
I can confirm the wing scythe on a faith build is actually ridiculously good. Didn’t believe it at first but then I tried it and it’s nutty, the fact you also get bleed is just *fat chefs kiss*
It's been my main weapon since I started. Lvl 75 now and it's just to slow, can't even use it at full potential unless you two hand it, and you can't equip ash of war. But I really haven't found any other weapon, hence why I'm here lol
@@gamebreaker60 You can equip it with the Brass Shield, or any shield that have "No Skill" Ash of War. Your Left Trigger will used the right hand weapon Ash of War

I got that Winged Scythe yesterday and got my Faith up enough to equip it today. Didn't get to mess with it too much but I am looking forward to leveling it up from now on.

@@NoOne-fo1di It's very good, you can stagger all the basic NPC Invaders with the Weapon Art and stunlock them to death just spamming it as the AI has no idea how to dodge it once you get the first swing in of the Weapon Art in. Just the basic 1H R1 can stagger most medium sized enemies.
The downsides is it sometimes hard to hit flying things on the horse and the swings can have a hard time hitting very agile enemies like those dam rabid dogs!
@@NoOne-fo1di The Ashe Of War on it has huge reach and does great damage as well. I can see this being 1 of my main weapons throughout the whole game.

The Winged Scythe ash of war also disables flask use! Good for pvp if you can land the second hit!

Tbh when I found the winged scythe, I KNEW it was gonna be in my dex/faith build just because the weapon art looked cool. I had no idea it’d be so optimal I just thought the moveset looked fun.

Personally on my faith build I’m loving the night Calvary’s flail . And yea the sleeping dragon that everyone is bleeding for that 72k souls atm does have a huge hp pool so his bleeds are wild
Yea was thinking of going Flail route for faith build just to get Bleeding Strike damage and able to use Ashe/Armament spells on them.
Put on a golden pickle foot before you kill it and get 100k 🥒😁

The winged scythe has absolutely changed my play through experience. The ash of war is sooo good and it’s incredible to find a weapon that scaled with faith, does bleed damage without using a bleed ash of war, and has a sick animation that hits twice and closes distance. It’s only +3 for me now but it’s almost too strong, i’m shredding bosses left and right now

There's an awesome strength/faith warhammer called Envoy's Long Horn, you farm it from the horn-blowing enemies in Leyndell city, the special attack blows faith bubbles at the enemy and does huge damage and staggers easily if it lands, plus it sounds and looks glorious lol

I've just been using the cipher Pata for most of my playthrough. It does require a certain type of playstyle to use a claw weapons but the cipher Pata has fantastic faith scaling and you can easily stun lock enemies through sheer number of attacks you throw out. It also has a rly powerful unblockable attack and most shields are pretty much ineffective against its normal attacks as well as they just do faith dmg.
Also has no weight so u can equip better armor =)

Also a big fan of the cipher pata. It may or may not be optimal but I have cipher pata in my right hand finger seal in the left for healing/longer range spells

you can also get a halo scythe that drops from cleanrot knights, it's super powerful and it's unique ability is really good at taking out enemies from range. The only real downside is that it requires somber stones to upgrade.
Weapons that use somber stones are way easier to upgrade compared to ones that don't. I was able to upgrade like 10 weapons to +9 (somber maxes at +10) naturally in the game by the time I beat it.
I was barely able to upgrade 3 weapons to +24 with regular stones.

The sword you get from rykard has faith scaling and nothing crazy stat wise but its ash of war is absolutely nuts. I just beat the game with it 100% recommend.

@@saifeddinechahin1288 If you mean all the normal ashes that you pick up, usually you find them from killing the white round beetles that disappear if you don’t hit them. If you mean for the rykard sword, that weapon comes with a special weapon art that only it has.

There's a talisman that boosts Holy damage (in return for taking more damage yourself). You can find it kinda early, if I remember correctly.
I think you can pair that up with the Coded Sword for better damage.
Too bad it really heavily cuts that defense down.

There’s another talisman that boosts almost all of your stats by 5 in the fort near the beast sanctum. I pair that with the holy talisman and honestly I don’t feel a huge difference in the damage I take, I just deal a ton more damage. I’d say it’s definitely worth it. Add that to Goodriks rune and you’re basically 20 levels higher than you actually are
Hey moxsy, big fan! The bleed proc comes from a base percent from the enemy. 13,000 damage came from the dragons 70k health pool

You forgot to mention that in pvp the winged scythe disables healing with the weapon art. Nice bonus for invading.
Winged Scythe is great for invaders, because of how you can switch targets during the skill. I got so many hosts by wacking the summon with the first hit, baiting a backstab from the host, then switching lockon to the host behind me and just eviscerating them with the flying follow up. They can never see it coming because the user doesnt change facing till he final charge
The range is also enough to cross small gaps via flying which is just awesome.
Hey Moxsy, could I put forward a request? Just segment your videos for this - I love how informative and extensive you are, but I personally want to experience as much of Elden Ring for myself on my first playthrough as possible. Yet I just need that Elden Ring content. So, a list is okay, but the "how to get" parts I just skip and hope I don't skip right into anything spoilery.
Or not it's annoying when people say this weapons cool then not mention how or where to get it elden ring is a big map if you want to just find stuff then do it I don't see how mentioning a location is a spoiler there is no story involved just pointing out a spot on the map

The halo scythe is my favorite early/mid game faith weapon it’s weapon art absolutely shreds through bosses. I beat starscourge my second try mainly spamming its weapon art

This is very likely a later weapon but Eclipse Shotel is a very intersting and deadly weapon, it's weapon art is a buff giving the weapon the capability to apply elden rings variant if curse, the instant death effect once build up the enemy or enemy player just instantly dies.
You're going to love the Golden Order Greatsword, and the Sacred Relic Sword as well for Str+Faith Builds. The Ash of war of each of those is crazy OP

"13000 bleed proc" to clarify, bleed damage is % based on the HP pool of the target. its always massive. bleed is meta AF
I have been using the winged scythe for easily 20 hours and I have never seen an enemy take blood damage... any ideas?
@@azz111full consistency on hitting them often is usually what will allow it to happen. Some enemies are resistant to it and it takes longer I think. I fought a boss recently and it wasent until it was 20% health where the bleed proc hit and it straight up killed it. On medium health enemies hitting for a bunch quickly you will have a harder time noticing unless you get a lot of quick hits in. Duel wielding bleed weapons is sick
Boost arcane. That helps bleed proc quicker, get a good bleed weapon Anastasia Twinblade, Rivers of Blood maybe even Ghiza wheel if you’re memeimg
Or a standard weapon, uchi, Scythe then infuse the weapon with bleed to make it better
had been using the reduvia that you get from the npc invader and the skill is literally a blood blade projectile y’all have to try it
early game sure, when your killing bosses in like 4 hits its irrelevant because it will never activate.
Your videos are definitely a big help to someone that is fairly new to souls games i played i bit of ds 3 but never completed it. Knowing where to find stuff is a big help.
The banished knight halberd starts at lvl 8 and has c scaling. Very strong pick , you get it from Morne castle.
Running it myself. The same NPC invades in Liurnia later and you can pick it up then

I agree with this list. The scythe basically mimics the Bloohound Fang with the added bonus of scaling with faith, making it easily a great choice for early/midgame. The ash of war it has is incredible too.
The blasphemous sword is pretty great too. The weapon art does a lot of damage, has great range, and heals you when you land it on enemies. You need 22 str to wield it but that's worth it imo

Grab the strength talisman, I already got my strength to 16 to wield the winged scythe and the talisman gives +5 strength only need one more level into it personally.
That lifesteal is too good fr, I used it to cheese melania. You can lifesteal, no I can :)
I just wanted to mention that you can use flame ashes of war if you've unlocked flame art which gives I faith scaling instead of its normal scaling. This can help against enemies that are resistant to holy damage but not flame, and generally the damage base is higher with flame art before resists are added

The winged scythe is really good but I find myself missing enemies at point blank with it’s awkward normal swing

The regular scythe plus the ash of war you get from Knight Loretta is pretty comparable to the winged scythe, plus you can coat the blade using spells without having to get all the way to the capital for the sacred whetstone
Recently been using dual Coded Swords+10 on ng+ with 80 faith, sacred scorpion charm, Erdtree Seal+10, physick flask (Faith Knot Crystal Tear and Holy Shrouding Cracked Tear), and Golden Vow incantation. Start by using flask then cast Golden Vow, and you'll get damage ranging at 700-800+ per sword. I wouldn't say that it's the best faith weapon in the game, but it's pretty fun to use and it can melt health bars in pvp. Pretty good in pve, just not with gargoyle bosses or anyone resistant to holy dmg.
Winged Scythe's Ash of War has the Sister Friede's "Singh of Approval" for sure.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the halo scythe. It’s ridiculously powerful for a ranged weapon and I’ve used it alone to down bosses from magma wyrms to morgott. The best part about it is it’s damage output and scaling of its ranged attack and the fact that it takes such little fp to cast and relies mainly on stamina, you’re almost constantly attacking. Pair that with a good summon to hold aggro and you can just go to town on anything in front of you.
The halo scythe is pretty good too. I've been using its weapon art to shred in pve. It can also be pretty good in pvp if the other dude doesn't know how to dodge.

I've been using the Magma Wyrm Greatsword and that thing is a beast! It does crazy physical and fire damage, scales really well and has a great ash of war, not to mention it looks badass haha

@@jamielee5695 i’d say go get blasphemous blade first, he’s pretty easy at your level, just make sure you use the weapon you get when entering the boss room, then upgrade it a few times and it will be a breeze

Cipher pata is absurd, ash of war one shots most enemies in caelid for me at lvl 65
Another scythe that is hailed as the ultimate scythe in Fromsoft games is the Halo Scythe. You get it from knights in Caelid, it’s Ash is a long range attack, with bleed (naturally), good scaling and damage. Add a Gold Vow spell to increase damage, and you become a holy blender.
Halo Scythe is AWESOME for early game. I beat Renalla in 5 mins with that thing plus golden vow and Oleg knight

Cool video im glad i took the time to get the winged scythe for my profit, i was useing Grave scythe with faith ash you mentioned (sacred blade) it throws a faith slash at a distance then imbues the blade with faith damage for a extended duration of time plus with bleed from The scythe.
its hard to decide what i like more grave can use various ashes!
As i go further time will show me more im sure.
i also love the same ash on the uchi katana and used that for quite a long time it just dosent hit like the scythes they take massive chunks.subbed!
I want to throw in the Magmaworm's Scaled Sword it has faith scaling C but does bonus fire dmg instead of holy. It is a Curved Great Sword and requires 24 str, 15 dex, 18 fai but this thing slaps.
Yeah and the moveset is absolutely amazing with insanely quick wide attacks. Easilly best faith big sword in the game alongside sword of night and flame.
Does the fire damage scale with faith then? Scaling is so confusing in these games. Literally the last thing I did was beat that boss and get this sword so now I'm gonna +4 it and try it out I think.

I've been using the Winged Scythe as a Dex/Fai build. I'm just around Lv50 but it does major work. Apart from hurling fireballs and poking things with the longbow to get their attention, everything else is handled by this. I do need to use its AoW more, though...
Speaking of, on top of being fantastic damage/bleed, the AoW also prevents invaders/opponents from using their flasks. Very fun to hit an invader with it, then as they run away to try and sip you hurl a lightning spear at em.
What do you think of the Cipher Pata? Pure holy damage, ignores shields, good weapon art, weighs nothing, found early, and scales well

i've been doing pretty good with that. I'm mostly faith and then a decent amount in vigor/mind. the special attack is insane, and they look awesome, like if wolverine had lightsabers.

Theres a Morningstar in a carriage near castle morne that is a good 1H sword like alternative, it has bleed as well…but what I’m using now is a sacred claymore. I just love the poking roll that its move-set has very good for poking bosses.

5:38 THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID. I am now a sacred shinobi of the lightning and it’s so fun. I also keep the Cipher Pata on my right hand secondary so I can whip out pure faith unblockable assassin’s creed gauntlets. It’s such a nutty play style and so fun. I have exactly the minimum strength and dex required to wield the uchi and every other bit of damage comes from my faith. I have bloodhound step on right katana with faith scaling, and sacred blade on left hand katana. While I’m dual wielding I teleport. If I left hand 2 hand I can shoot the sacred blade arc and buff up.

@@marcossimonetto2688 yeah bro. You can change the affinity your weapon scales with when you change the ash of war. There are I think 5 different whetstone blades that unlock new affinities. If you want faith scaling you’ll want to find the sanctified whetstone. But it’s in the capital and getting in there can be a challenge. The fire whetstone blade is in Redmayne castle and the magic whetstone blade is in raya lucaria. Can’t remember the rest but I remember finding the first 3 easily.

Meanwhile I fell in love with the Godslayer Greatsword. It deals massive physical and massive blackflame damage. It's supposed to be a late game boss weapon but you can get it decently early in the game.
Spoiler as where it is: Southern East at the bottom of the divine tower you have to first climb up, only to get all the way to the bottom of it where a certain extremely frequently used boss awaits you. If you have trouble defeating him, either use a tanky ash or get a friend as you can easily aggro him by a single plunge attack meaning whenever he attacks who or whatever you brought with you, you can easily punish him, steal the aggro and reverse. The weapon you get hits like a truck and the weapon art hits even harder since blackflame is rarely resisted by bosses at all. It also grants you the best incarnation . . . Thing! (Please correct me, I forgot the name of these things!) I used to just be a dex build, this weapon alone is the whole reason I went with faith. It's strong, it's big, it hits like a truck and on horse back / if you go for heavy jump attacks, you're bound to stagger bosses at least once or twice if you don't kill them faster. The weapon art will also pierce blocks and almost guarantee to deal afterburn too. I am maybe a bit too enthusiastic over this weapon but for a weapon you can get so early it's still absolutely relevant in the late game.

The magma wyrm’s scale sword is also a good faith weapon

And good recommendation for str + faith? I am using the golden knight great sword, the one that roams outside the artists shack(where you get your first lightning tome)
IMO Rykards Blasphemous Blade is the best faith weapon. The damage on that thing is absolutely insane and it scales decently well

It's the Alberich, found in the main hall of the Fortified manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital
I used my Death's Poker through out the game because of it's AoW. That Lt+Rb combo is so OP!
Another recommendation is the Golden Epitaph. A straight sword found behind a Stonesword Door in Auriza Hero's Grave in Leyndell. At +9 I'm getting 500+ AR and I've had immense luck with it, especially in PvP.
The weapon art is the same as the Golden Halberd, a buff to you and teammates that increases attack and defense.
I think the Cipher Pata is one the better weapons for Faith as well, mostly because it has 0 weight so if you have a slot for it, you can always have an unblockable weapon equipped

Doing my first ever faith build, mainly cause I wanted to roll Pyro yet again, but loving the Winged Scythe! Didn't realize it has bleed buildup. Also, I need to know what armor you have on, cause it's exactly the type of style I've been looking for.
Albreicht's Armor set. Roundtable hold area in capital city same place he got the Coded blade. It's the same armor the invader Mad Albreicht is wearing in the safe zone roundtable hold we stay in.
Winged Scythe carried me so much through the game and I still equip it whenever I have to deal with a tough invader or such. I eventually got the Gargoyle's Blackblade but wasn't very fond of it to be honest. I then used the Black Knife for a while and it's STRONG. I'd still be using it if I hadn't gotten the Blasphemous sword for sure.
I used Cipher Pata early a lot but since it deals only holy damage without any physical at all it really doesn't hold up against other faith scaling weapons and since the Coded Sword is the same I never felt like trying that one as well. Having an unblockable attack is nice though.
As for the whetblade, there are ashes of war you can't give faith scaling. Usually the ones that already come with a native int scaling like frost stomp and such.
Pure damage of one type is often an advantage. It can sometimes outdamage a higher AR with split damage. The Coded Sword and Cipher Pata are best suited for builds with really high Faith stats, like 60 to 80. It would be great for a caster with more investment in Faith and Mind but not so much STR and DEX. They also work well as a lightweight backup weapon.
@@AKSBSU it really doesn't. I have 62 faith currently and they do less damage than any of my split damage weapons. The thing is that the damage of those weapons isn't really split, it's almost doubled. No enemy is so resistant to physical damage that a pure holy damage weapon would ever outdamage a phys/holy weapon. If you take those weapons it's really just for the unblockable skill.
There is also a Grave Scythe with 144Phy, D str & D dex scaling , stronger than normal Scythe which has 125Phy E Str & C Dex
Do all scythes have the same moveset? Is the only thing different their scaling?

Does Grave Scythe gets higher Faith-scaling than normal Scythe when you make in Sacred and upgrade it?
@@DragonAlex1 Recently did this to confirm & it's worse than the normal Scythe, so I've been using Scythe + Winged Scythe. Halo Scythe I'm not sure on

Honestly this is one of the best explanations for how weapons scale.
Feel like the sword of night and flame should be on here. It requires 24 int as well as 24 faith so I had to respec for it but the ash of war demolishes stuff it was so worth it. Has magic and flame damage options for stuff that's resistant to one or the other and both are hitting for 1200+ for me at only level 60

Also for late game weapons, I think Golden Order Greatsword might be the best weapon in the game.
SNF is a hexers weapon. You go on a 30/30 int/Fai build NOT a pure faith or melee faith hybrid

Well that's convenient! First Spuls game, I liked the look of the Winged Scythe and decided to work towards it, I had no idea it was considered such a powerful weapon.
so would you say that it's better to have the winged scythe in your main hand? compared to you last faith build guide that you had the normal scythe with sacred blade ash of war as main hand with winged scythe as off hand. also would you say it's better to just two hand the winged scythe or power stance winged scythe with normal scythe? thanks!
I think it would be better unless you just want the range from the scythe's ability
I now main hand the winged scythe. Most of the time I two hand it unless dealing with enemies that have longer openings

Not to do with faith builds but adding frost ash of war to a flail or any weapon with innate bleed, can do wonderful damage, I tend to use spinning weapon ash of war with it. Thanks for the video !
Take a look at sword of night and flame int/faith scaling c at +3 its insanly powerfull. Margrit in 3 aow hits
Edit: it is op but my friend used it on a fast boss he didnt get any chance to hit it and did it more than 20+ times to beat it i did it with dual katana bleed buff and beat him in the 2nd time
I would say that's the best pve weapon in the game. And if you get mimic tear spirit summon, he uses the weapon skills and can solo bosses lol
Use a summons that staggers, there's a single night dude that does it. Bosses become easy mode

Just a note: Mixed damage historically isn't good in soulsborne games. If you can do 400 holy or do 200 physical and 200 holy, unless what you are fighting is really good against specifically holy, you are better off just going with the one 400 holy weapon because enemies will resist both damage types separately.
as true as that is, i havent fought a single enemy that resists holy, iv seen a few that resists slash, but iv curb stomped everything so far with the golden halberd (40 str 25 fai) its at +6 right now and close to 650 ar. most enemies die to a single jump attack and bosses take around 400+ damage a hit
Been having some good luck with the Halo Scythe. Looks absolutely sick and has a deceptively effective weapon art that applies bleed. Can't change the weapon art and it takes Somber stones for upgrades, but at level 75, I'm sold on the Cleanrot fashion.
Dude yes. Ive been using that and the winged scythe dual wield and both give me good faith scaling and both have dope weapon arts.
