Love the paint chips as tuck spots, and I can see adapting the ring binder as a repository for things I like to eventually use elsewhere, maybe several, even, by themes. Yay for Yogi tea and tissue boxes of all brands! And it's both fun and humbling when your family helps you out with your collecting, isn't it? My husband gets annoyed with my hoarding, but he also occasionally finds things he thinks I would like and brings them to me, anyhow. I am also charmed by your use of the ephemera from your kids' lives.
Loving the junk journals - LikeKagedfish you seem to combine junk with "wet media" - acrylic paint, stamps etc giving me the balance I am looking for in my work. Thanks for sharing.
I know this is an old video but it just popped up . I love the journals. Find them very interesting. Just a thought, you could put full food box covers on the back and front of the ringed journal. Then maybe you would like it. Love your style. Thanks for sharing.😊
So impressed with your jjs I liked the ringed one and of course loved the sewn one. What a neat memory item with your children's art work and suggestions. Thank you for sharing.
Margarete you mentioned those doilies being Tupperware! My daughter works for Tupperware Head Office and love them as you used them! She has never mentioned them here! I love these journals!🦋
Love this. Especially love that your junk journal is truly a junk journal. I watch some videos labeled junk journaling and they are made from brand new stuff!? I've been collecting for a while now and I'm ready to make some signatures. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
lol, omg...I thought I was the only one old enough to remember and own Tupperware dollies. I like what you have collected...enjoyed watching your video....Hugs, deb
Enjoyed watching very much and got lots of ideas. You put so many creative touches in both your journals. By the way, I liked the ring one too. And I love that you use Kleenex boxes. People think I'm so strange that I save most of my Kleenex boxes. I have the one you used in several colors! Thanks for sharing.
Totally love this! Thanks for the tips about the Yogi tea boxes (I have tossed out so many! Gah!) and I love the idea of using a decorative tissue box for a journaling card or photo mat. XO
Wonderful Junk Journal!!! I was just watching some videos while I was working on projects and came across your video. I was very surprised when you showed the pocket page! I love to see people using things I show on my videos! and thank you so much for the link to that video!! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your kind words. You do great work. I'm a subscriber of yours and have been inspired by what you do with backgrounds and stamping. Neat stuff.
Love this junk journal. You've used some really great items in addition to the food packaging - like the kids art work, coloring page scraps, and the stamping. I too was tempted to start with the rings as it seems the easiest way to put something together (and I like the idea of being able to add), but I know I wouldn't be happy with it either. I need something neatly contained. I know this video is old, but wondering if you ever showed the finished product? Off to hunt that up! Thanks so much for doing these videos and showing all the little additions.
Love your junk journals - so pretty and eclectic. So now comes the stupid question. Do you embellish and /or collage in them more or are the considered complete as they are? Thanks for sharing.
cute jj Margarete. I think you actually have enough space inside your covers to just add a small strip of tyvek on each to help it. Then you can cover that if you wish with something to hide it if it bothers you. Love it though. TFS
Hi Judy, sorry for the late reply. Just saw your comment. I just tested the link for the pocket folder tutorial and it works fine. See if you can click to it from here: th-cam.com/video/ys7akkpfj1Q/w-d-xo.html

My husband too, has begun setting aside a few small items for me. I always make sure to show him how I incorporate them in my work :-)

You're right, Phyllis. That would be a good idea to keep in mind. I can replace the covers and I'd like it more ;-)

Tupperware rocks! I'm a fan for life. Thanks for watching :-)
I am still using Tupperware (the real thing) that I got in 1975. I remember those doilies, too. Am I dating myself much?

How different packaging is around the world. I wonder if we get yogi tea here in UK, I love the design inside.

Thanks, Sandy. For this book, I left it as you see it in the video. I could have gone in and added more, but I decided to stop there.
