Ford has incredible interiors? Honestly, that’s a weak point for Ford vs Ram (though not as bad as the GM twins interiors, though that’s been rectified for all but the more basic trims in the GM trucks, and the new GM interior is finally pretty fantastic.) The Ram interiors are still at least a notch above the Ford interiors, though.

Love the 2KW battery/inverter option on the Raptor for camping power options. Think big Dometic fridge/freezer and an instant pot without having to lug around a generator. Supplement that with a propane Camp Chef oven/stove combo and you are set. The TRX still has the hot rod bragging rights. I hope Ford keeps the battery/inverter option available in the upcoming V8 which I'm guessing will be a forced induction 5.2 Voodoo motor. I’d still go with the normal raptor with 37s and ignore the R version. I’m in the market for a new truck and I’m seriously looking at the third gen raptor 37 package if I can find it without the markup or under 5k markup. Id be willing to pay 5k or less. I wish you all the luck. I found a couple of dealers in Canada that are not too far from me that are not going beyond MSRP. They aren’t negotiating either though. 2 years ago they were discounting them up to $15K here. They will be there again. I have taken down all the names of the dealerships I contacted and there’s no one I know that are not aware of this. They will lose at least a dozen sales from our group of buyers. 10 are still driving Raptors so they all special ordered through the dealership I ordered my 22 F150 Lariat 5.0 SuperCab. A personal preference is all. I had a 2019 Raptor SuperCab and the guy that’s replacing it has agreed to sell it back to me. He only has put about 10,000 km on it since he bought it. He fixed all the trail damage as well!! Haha. All cosmetic scratches and one dent behind the right rear. I’m excited to get the truck back. The 2022 will be turned into a designated camper with a Project M Canopy on it. I have the rest of the interior built out already!! Haha.
The 2019 looks like it just left the showroom! I’ll keep it that way now as my back is so damaged I can’t really off-road hard anymore. I do have a collection of 8 vehicles, 2 new including a Bronco Badlands 4 door that I may keep quite a while (a rare thing for me). It’s very nice, looks appropriate as a new version of the Classic. I like the ram just fine but after seeing a few Trx’s around Dallas they don’t really stand out compared to normal rams. Thay could be because it’s very common to do a lift wheels and tires at point of purchase here in texas. But maybe not. Just figured it would look very different from the normal rams and it doesn’t. In person anyway.

RAM, all the way. My 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4EcoDiesel has been virtually flawless (except for emission recalls). Every Ford (4 of them) I have ever owned (4 of them) fell apart within 4 years.

I want a gen two Raptor since its my dream truck but I may be willing to hold out for the Raptor R. I think I want a V8 Raptor more as the default platform that I can build on as opposed to having to replace the twin turbo V6 and transmission for a V8 and resetting the trucks computer to support it all. Tough call.

I would prefer the base-ish models of these two plus a side by side or dirt bike to tackle the trails. Or even the new tundra. These two are insanely expensive. And this is not even taking into account dealer markups.
