Driftomaniacs hi I’m from the uk thinking about buying this car but don’t know which reasonably priced batteries to buy can you recommend any I’ll be able to get hold off? Cheers Sam :)
I am a R/C fanboy !!! Thanks for saying what you did about people screwing themselves by not buying ALL brands, why limit your horizons ???? Awesome looking vehicle, TON of FUN !!!!
My only gripe. Is lying to your customer. Arrma says 70 mph you get 70mph. Traxxas says 60mph, and you get 40-47mph. If you put a blx system in traxxas it would explode. Love both brands. Traxxas just lies and chargers too much for there product. That’s all.
IC5 allows for "(intelligent) smart batteries" Fortunately they fit with EC5. Same connection that is stock on the 4x4 3s BLX Arrma line. They are awesome but the IC5 will only allow for noticing the difference is if you have the newly available smart packs. You can get more stats from these new packs but not always necessary for the day to day basher. When you get her on the long stretch, I think you'll be thrilled! That 20t pinion is also essential. I put the 20t from my Talion kit on my Typhon V3 and it flies! 70+ mph is entirely too fast for me but it's there if we want it.
The arrmas are great trucks! If you really start jumping it you'll want to replace the plastic chassis braces with metal ones, it probably won't be a problem on the typhon but with the outcast and kraton the chassis likes to try to turn into a taco when you really bash it
I don't think that most people that have issue with the radio do so because lack of features, etc., but rather the radio / receiver compatibility not being able to be paired with the various dsm protocols, like for me, if I were to get one of them new versions, even though I have a Spektrum radio, I'd have to pick up another receiver (if I wanted to use my existing radio) or just be stuck with what they are providing (sure not really a big deal, but kind of annoying).
Hey dude, I hear you, I think it is a big deal about the radio myself because it is a cheaper radio than the Tactic TTX300 and has the 50 75 100 feature that you really do not need. The Tactic had all of the features you needed and nothing else. Arrma even says in the manual these are not a toy! They are not for people under 14. It is like a regular car, just because it can do 100 mph does not mean you drive like that and it is the same thing with these cars. Personally not being able to use another radio system and having to use that garbage (this radio comes in the ECX Ruckus, like a $100 RC car for kids!!!) On a $500 RC car I would rather they have an option to knock $30 off the price for a radio-less version. Take care dude ✌
I lost a hub nut fairly quickly. Luckily it happened right in front of my house as I was "walking" my Kraton back. I saw the nut fall out but missed the rubber cup inside. Took two days to find it. Bought HR Racing nuts after that. I also had the pivot ball back out on one arm the first time I bashed on 6s. Dogbone came out but luckily didn't bend. Hasn't happened since that one time.
i own a v2 senton (converted to v3 except shocks) and the servo saver never got loose but used to jam A LOT and the Steering would not return to center properly (turn hard/ high speed left it would go slightly to the right, turn hard/high speed to the right it would slightly to the left) i adjusted the endpoints to make sure it wasn't binding, ended up changing the Servo to a savox, Servo horn and Servo mount to hot racing Aluminum upgrades only to change the Servo saver to a hot racing model which worked for a while but eventually developed the same jamming and not returning to center problem. I own 4 cars with this servo saver type (Traxxas UDR, Axial Yeti Score TT, Redcat Volcano, and Arrma Senton 6s blx) and the ALL OF THEM have theis problem REGARDLESS OF BRAND and changing to aluminum only works temporarily. Long term i end up locking the Servo saver (eliminating it if there is and optional part to replace it) and get a strong enough servo so i don't need one that is the only solution i have found and it has worked and no servo problems so far but you MUST buy the right sevo for your car
My new Wraith came with the spectrum radio. It felt pretty cheap and the Tactic was a three channel not a two. I’d rather have the tactic. Im just weird that way. Still a great car.
Most of the reviewers say that the radio is total crap. My granite BLX came with the tactic radio and this radio (the one featured here) on is my little 1:18 scale 4wd monster truck. On the dirt I don't notice much of a difference, but I'm just a rookie. Thoughts? Thanks!
@@DriftomaniacsRC Hey Richie, From what I have seen on other videos I think the antenna length is the same as the rest of the line up, the difference being that the body is much more aerodynamic and would have to poke through the body because all of the other vehicles have taller bodies.
