Capricorn the Gogoat made such an impact on me that I actually respect Gogoat and I am happy it's in gen 9. It's even on Geeta's team, (Despite her team being a mess) and people sleep on it, but it gets horn leech + bulk up, and I've seen it be a threat there. These videos shaped how I view Pokemon and was the reason I view Pokemon content in the first place. I can't wait for the inevitable amazing challenge runs this year!
I used a gogoat in Y.and it Swept Siebold with sowrds dance Leaf Blade
and it had a BS moveset so i loved it

I like how Grunty Boi never breaks character for a moment. He may have started with just a small contract helping Mikey do his sponsorships, but I'm glad they have started cooperating more and more.

@@RodimusMinor1987 Poison is a very solid type. It is highly defensive, with 5 resistances and only 2 weaknesses, and it's supereffective against Fairy, making it highly valuable offensively as well.

This has been an awesome year of videos from you, Mikey. Not only with the videos on this channel and your playthroughs on Plays, but also with the John-Michael Cup(s). I’m not sure if you’re going to do a “Best Moments of 2022” video, mainly since there’s a TON of clips to use, but it’d be amazing if you did.
Now, really think about: The Ice type team wasn't AS bad as you might think. There were no overlaps with these pokemon's second typing, all of which being unique. But aside from that, I hope and cannot wait for you to make more fun videos this year and future years!

I can’t wait for enough time to pass for you to do just another play through of Arceus, gimmicks or just straight up casual funsies. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and would love another long form like you did for SV. I’d especially love to see you tackle some of the often overlooked stuff in the DLC like path of Solitude, all the other trainer battles, and Eternal Battle Reverie ❤️❤️❤️

I hope he does Unova next not Kalos, he should go in region order, yes he started with hoen but he has stuck with gen order since, hisui and sinnoh are pretty much the same gen
Video recommendation: are there any pokemon you started out indifferent to or not liking but then grew to love because of a funny story, or a positive experience?
He got surprisingly attached to Gogoat! When he saw it in the SV trailer he got really excited, even though Gogoat isn't normally as good as Capricorn
That is a good question, I can't think of one off the top of my head, wait Mammoswine I used to think of him as Generally okay Pokémon but after I used him on my first sword run I realised how amazingly tanky he was and I adore him now and Swinub is adorable

I'm not a fan of millipedes so I didn't really like Scolipede that much, but one time, I got to use one in a nuzlocke and I learned that Scolipede was very fast, and could learn a variety of different type moves, and ended up carrying my team. So now he's one of my favorites from Gen 5.
I went from feeling nothing for Delibird to feeling fond of Delibird because I put a lot of effort into my personal challenge of using one to recruit my very first Kecleon in PMD Explorers of Sky. No way can I go through that ride without coming to appreciate Delibird at the end.

This was a good year for these teams. Not as good 2021, but still very good.
I used a gogoat on my first playthrough of X, and it is the most slept-on pokemon EVER! 531 BST with STAB horn leech is insane.
I'm tempted to do a Grass only Scarlet playthrough, with Gogoat (my favorite gen 6 pokemon), Sawsbuck (another slept-on grass type with surprisingly good stats and STABs) and Arboliva (one of my top 10 gen 9 pokemon)
Coming back in December 2023(close to Christmas and New Years) thinking “Now he has to do this with his 2023 play through teams”.
This just made me realise how quickly this year went by. It feels like yesterday thet the first one came out

I would love to see Mikey's reaction to the 1K Pokemon video, focusing on nostalgia, how the pokemon are lumped together thematically/randomly, and his experience catching them all, including the variants appearing in the video.

My teams in 2022
Legends Arceus
Hisuian Typhlosion, Staraptor, Floatzel, Ursaluna, Kleavor, Dialga
Really fun and balanced, all team members played a big role, Roserade and Luxray also were big assets but didn't make to the battle against Volo. Amazing 10/10
Brilliant Diamond
Torterra, Staraptor, Floatzel, Garchomp, Houndoom, Jirachi.
Solid team, also varied, with an unexpected star as Houndoom. Also Staraptor and Floatzel again, I'm sure they will never disappoint me, really sure... Anyway this team is 9/10, mostly because Calm Mind Jirachi felt a bit cheesy.
Black 2 (Emulator)
Emboar, Beartic, Lucario, Unfeazant, Magnezone, Krookodile.
I loved this team, not only has my favorite Pokémon, but had a lot of memorable moments involving the rest of the team, like that epic Emboar clutch against Marshall. Some shafted mons like Liligant and Azumarill where great too. But it was quite unbalanced, being extremely vulnerable to not only Fighting like 99.9% of Unova teams but also to Ground (If I knew Lucario was gonna be so useless, I would have kept Liligant) Because of that, it gets a 7/10
SoulSilver (Emulator)
Typhlosion, Ampharos, Nidoking, Gyarados (ofc Shiny), Ursaring, Crobat.
Not the best team to be honest, Ampharos and Ursaring were good in paper but never did something remotely useful in the endgame. (And because is Johto a replacement wasn't an option) Typhlosion would have been the same of wasn't because of the sheer RNG-based clutches he got. (Seriously that guy either gets confused 6 turns in a row or dodges and crits twice in a row) Nidoking was literally only used as hazard setter, Crobat and Gyadados where the only ones useful in battle, and were freaking busted.
If I could describe this team with one word, would be PAINFUL 3/10
Scarlet
Skeledirge, Beartic, Breloom, Staraptor, Floatzel, Great Tusk.
Skeledirge and Beartic where AWESOME, probably too much as half of the battles was one of the two sweeping the opposing team effortless, and the other half was won with only these two. The other four barely had time to shine. Even when I used them they weren't being too helpful even with EV training. While "balanced" in terms of types (not like it mattered anyway) it was definitely unbalanced in terms of power, two unstoppable forces and four underwhelming mons. No good for a playthrough team. 5/10 simply because two of my all time favorite are there.
THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE A IN UNFEZANT!
THERE SHOULD BE 3 L'S IN LILLIGANT! AND MARSHAL DOES NOT END WITH 2 L'S IN POKEMON!
I have been watching a lot of your videos recently due to recommendations. I have to say that Grunty Boy character is really well done and functions the same as the OG Team Rocket. Definetely makes the sponsored content interesting to watch and that is something!
Its fun to see the only team he gave a 10/10 to is also the only one where he didn't have any kinda team restrictions or was a randomizer

If Mikey ever does a TEAM SKYYYYY playthrough of Scarlet/Violet, he should replace his starter with one of the green Squawkabilly on top of his house. I'd be interested to see how far he gets using the Paldean Chatot, especially if he manages to get one with Intimidate.

At 28 I finally did a playthrough of Black. I'm a lot happier with my team than I thought I'd be, I grew pretty attached. Gen 5 is still one of my least favorite, but it definitely is a gen that deserves the love it gets.

Quite possibly the best team I used in ANY Pokémon game. My favorite starter, 2 of my favorite Pokémon, 1 new Paldea Pokémon that quickly became one of my favorite, 1 Pokémon I always wanted to use before, and 1 Pseudo Legendary. I even used this team to battle against my friends! (We all used the same starter lol)
I named my quxly Donald as well
I'd love to see 2 playthroughs of team Sky in Unova. Kinda how Team Sky is thrust into Unova for BW1, and end up coming back cause Plasma "took over" their base for BW2
The only Team I used in 2022 was in Pokémon Violet, where I did a self-imposed challenge where I could only use Grass Types.

This Team did a great job getting me through this game. It was tough at some parts though. Mostly the first Bug Gym fight, the final battle with Arven and the Fighting Captain of Team Star with Eri spamming buffs to absolutely crush me. Aside from those 3 fights giving me trouble, I had a blast going through the Region of Paldea and using Pokémon I otherwise never would've considered such as Jumpluff or Brambleghast.
I'm gonna rate this team a 9 / 10.
It had some hiccups, but the victories that the quartet pulled off made this adventure worth it.
Okay, that Pokemon GO team idea for your Shield playthrough was top notch. Always forget that you can transfer and use mons from GO in the normal Pokemon games. Definitely will be giving that playthrough a watch
I loved your scarlet play through so much, I grew way too attached to the whole team, I love the commentary, and the minor story differences persuaded me to buy scarlet instead of violet. I love all of your videos, you make my day significantly better every time I watch them. Thank you. P.s. I nicknamed my first shiny toedscruel agari after yours
My team for paldea was skelederge, pawmot, brozong, dusban, clodsire and lokux. This team was awesome. My starter pulled all the weight. But bronzongs levitate walled a lot of Pokémon. It came in clutch for the giant Pokémon.
The third E in Skeledirge is supposed to be an I! There should be 2 N's in Bronzong the first time! It's Dachsbun, not Dusban! The U in Lokix is supposed to be an I!

I adore how Capricorn gave you such an appreciation for Gogoat, and that video overall was amazing, but it sucks that the process of making it burned you out so. Then again, had that not happened, you might not have taken that two-month sabbatical, which led to you coming back all refreshed and ready to go once more, so... honestly maybe you kinda needed that to happen, then. Something to push you to the point of taking the break you needed. Hm. That's food for thought right there.
