In Canada we have Dollarama, and they actually have some really good stuff! I think it helps that they bumped their prices so now the max price is like $5 for some items instead of $1, and most things are a minimum of $1.25 to $2, but still there are honestly plenty of things there that I have gifted to friends who have actually really liked their gifts! It helps to think a little outside the box, and stock up on stuff that someone might like whenever it happens to show up. Like I have a few friends that enjoy a spooky aesthetic year-round, so the Halloween tchotchkes can actually be really fun presents for them! They especially have really good funky socks!
