At 66 years of age I am returning to the Catholic Church. I was baptised as a baby and received First Holy Communion as a young child but left around the age of 14. My family was not at all religious. My mother was an avowed atheist. My father suffered from the ravages of alcoholism. We were a broken, estranged family and there was not what you would call the expression of love in our family. During the pandemic, I attended the baptism of two children in my family daycare. I was moved by the ceremony. Something stirred inside my heart. For the first time in my life I began to pray the Rosary and felt the presence and peace of Mary and Christ. I began to attend the OCIA classes at the local parish. I got to have my first ever one-on-one chat with the Priest, a young man who I have come to love, respect and admire for the all the ways he cares for us with such devotion, grace, creativity, diligence, humility and Divine Assistance. He is an inspiration.
It is so refreshing to see men who are dedicating their lives to service. I never realized what a crucial, life-altering role the Parish Priest plays in the life of a community because I was never part of a Catholic Church before. Eternaly grateful for all you do. Thank you.
Thank you and all religious for your vocations and changing the world for the better! Religious gave the world hospitals, schools and have inspired many other benevolent institutions!

Amen. Especially CELIBACY. Time will tell who and what was at the heart of building this abbey. Nothing, not even a focus or obsession with aesthetics, beauty and symbolism is as important and as essential as building virtuous celibate MEN during these times.

It is 60 years + since I was literally shoved into the NO, but thanks to CVD I am back atleast online with the piety and serenity of the Holy Mass of the saints. Two of my three sons had a vocation, they went to a Franciscan Seminary where the rector told them that their 'rigid' traditional catholicism; yes I tried to instill into them the catholicism of my youth; had no place there, also the nocturnal activities made them hightail it back home. In India, except for five pockets, far between one another, we have no option but to attend the NO. please can you help us and send some of your priests to us? We are starved and dying for good cathecisis. We too are dear to the Heart of Jesus. I will pray for this at my daily prayers. To you and your priests seminarians dear Reverend Father, I ask Jesus to keep you safe, till in His mercy He sends us someone.
Time will tell and show the fruits of this abbey. To be perfectly honest @ the moment I do not know exactly what to think. Just my gut feeling. Prayer s for us all.

Where can the video of this ordination be seen? This is a beautifully shot by secular standards, but also a gorgeous and high fidelity demonstration of true catholic liturgical tradition in the Second Vatican Council's intended direction (IMO)

What are your thoughts on the SSPX?
I wanted to be a Premonstratensian priest but I was prevented by modernist confrères some of whom subsequently left to live with boyfriends etc. A scandalous disgrace.
