In order for you to be more of a saint, you need to be more of a sinner. How can you service the failures of life unless you fully understand the failures of life? Understanding the traditions of the Church has nothing to do with it. All saints were sinners.

biggest problem? wow - so many.
      1 - they don't love Christ - John 14:15
      2 - they don't follow Truth - John 17:17
      3 - they don't know God - 1 John 2:3
      and that's just the basics!

St. Francis sees sinful clergy man and corruption in the Church. Francis tries to reform it, but he doesn't start a new church. He first reforms himself. Francis is a saint, be like Francis. Beautiful video ❤️

@@tiffanymay1380Hi! It is not true that the Catholic Church "works" with the WEF. The Church is still here after 2000 years precisely because it has never "worked" with any institution. Institutions have come and gone, but the Church stays because it is not any other Institution, but the Body of Christ. I gather you're not a Catholic, because no Catholic would ever say that he is a "fan" of the Church. Anyway, have a good day.

I find it interesting that it's basically the source of the entire message by clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson. Fix yourself before trying to fix the world and its institutions. And he has a massive following and has been getting deeper and deeper into Christianity.
It seems to be the Holy Spirit talking.

No another distraction. Another excuse to do nothing and continue to sweep things under the carpet. Lacking courage to take the tough decisions because priest left their family and material things and most have no one to go back to.
Satan entered the church and targets the most important part- the clergy.

I’ve admired the work of the Abbey for decades, so it’s as a friend that I say this: don’t let this message lull people into pious silence in the face of sin and folly within the hierarchy. People need no persuasion to keep their heads down (in timidity, not in prayer). They need encouragement to rise bravely to their feet, and confront arrogance and disobedience in those above them and firmly say “That is not right!”

So, instead of making demands of Jesus, I should be asking Him what He wants? That’s some dangerous thinking right there. If people just started submitting to Jesus and letting him guide their lives, do realize how crazy things would get?

    • @alexanderzhou2

How does following Jesus’ words lead to ‘craziness’? How does not stealing, respecting parents, not killing, not committing adultery, not lying, not indulging oneself in envy, loving god and those around us, which serve as the basis of Jesus’ commandments bad for human society?

With everyone saying the "S" words it's really good to see someone of the faith saying, "Hey, if you want to fix the church, start with yourself" People do not pray enough and we fell into a area of realvatism, where everyone says and does "its OK, you do you" and "We must be tolerant and not force our beliefs onto others including my children" We must bring people closer to the Faith and Truth, but we must do from a place of charity and not self righteousness. We start with ourselves

  • @Ronny423
    @Ronny423 ปีที่แล้ว +4

That was a very good video. I was waiting for all the usual stale arguments about why we need to focus on ourselves (which I don't disagree with), but Fr. Ambrose makes some very good and insightful observations. This seems to be a hallmark of the Norbertines from St. Michael's Abbey -- going beyond platitudes with discussion that has profundity. Time well spent watching this video. Well done!

It is folly to turn our attention away from the terrible problems that are around us at all levels.
The people of the church have been guilty of mortal sins, and the systems of our world are made sometimes imbedded in sinfulness. We must be brave enough to challenge all of this as well.
An isolated life totally ignoring the humanity around us is a life that is only half full.
First be wise enough to seek sainthood in yourself, but understand that is a life long process. At the same time in seeking holiness you must use your gifts to help humanity

  • @MacheteMambi

Let's stop with philosophizing. We KNOW EXACTLY what the problem is. And THE SECOND problem, is some clergy and laity are not willing to call it out.

Sad to say, most parishes in our country, sacramentals (holy water in the stoup) no longer observed before entering churches, for the fear of spreading the virus. Seems it's optional.

  • @rhondasciortino
    @rhondasciortino ปีที่แล้ว +2

The way to sainthood is holiness. The way to holiness is through fulfillment of God's good purpose for our lives. When we find and live God's perfect purpose for which we were born and perfectly matched, we travel the path back to Him, to eternal life later and abundant life in Christ now. There's no other way to live. It's never too late to start. It doesn't matter what we've done or what's been done to us. All you have to do is ask for God's mercy and for Him to reveal His good plans and purpose, pay attention to the ideas and opportunities that present themselves, say YES, and then ACT on those things, and you will find yourself in the sweet middle of the beautiful life He has for you. #pray #listen #act #repeat. Ephesians 2:10, John 10:10, Romans 8:28

I'm genuinely baffled. I still have love in my heart, but with everything the Church has done, the incalculable damage to the faithful, the ruined lives and communities, the denials and coverups, the unfulfilled promises and disingenuous apologies after being caught and pushed into a corner, and the public apologies that contradict the tens of millions of dollars that continues to be paid to lobbyists and lawyers to sabotage any possibility of justice or peace for the countless victims of the past and present maleficent predatory behavior of clergy all over the globe... and this guy says, with a smile on his face... the biggest problem with the Catholic Church is a lack of individual sainthood? Until the hierarchy of the Church enters a confessional the size of a city, gets on its collective knees, fixed with a live, 24-hour webcam, and confesses to the world and begs for forgiveness, it has no credibility or moral authority whatsoever, and none of you have any right or wisdom to tell any of us anything that could be considered wisdom.

Not really, Padre. Two different issues. I should reform myself but once that’s done, the papal and hierarchical corruption will remain, the attack on the Church by these weak and evil men will continue, and the tools the Church has to provide us with grace will be further lessened by their continued attacks, and thus the actual biggest problem in the Church will remain and have gotten worse.

Continuity...because it is in the process of living, thinking, acting and insisting in handing the Faith on that matters. The repudiation of apostolic teaching and moral guidance which is God's will and guide is why places like Germany follow the fashion of the times much like Christian's took part on the French Revolution crying for the blood of innocent people. It is why Christian's threw out Christ to followed the Paris Commune, Marx and Hitler. Now lacking self control many think their erotic impulses are imperatives...not simply passing whims. We are not what we feel...we become what we do despite what we feel. Yes its not structures but individuals that must reform and improve with God's fee help. But in Germany vices are being blessed and this new flag waiving ideology is just the same old repudiation in the name of free...dumb. Like Lucifer rebelling again God and all good that proceeds from God.

But our Church is burning to the ground and I, we must do whatever we can to save her. Is bearing my head in the sand. When it comes to the corruption in the church hierarchy. Is that building the church up or watching it burn?

    In a Splinter Second.
Every one wants to be a St Paul and give their own suggestions to the Church but St Paul's suggestions come from God not of himself lest he boast. Hypocrits our Lord taught first excise the beam that is in your own eye so second you can see clearly to excise the splinter in your brother's eye. My own problem is in need of greater immediate attention than any supposed dire need of the Church. If a beam is extruded from one's eye a healing treatment process must begin else a blindness could arise, so let's let this method of five keys treat and heal us: Goodness, Generosity, Hospitality, Beauty and Wisdom

Really feel if people got home before dark, worked four days a week...could feel a self hug at that end of day to keep presence, people need peace & rest.
Also can get into exploratory discernment less snap authority...and connect into that "self" teaching lifestyle of paradise...how you want your eternal spiritual relationship to heaven to be...near or far, still hearing good conscience, solving mysteries.
What is lost today is salt of the earth towards God...richness of sacramentals for regular slow living...though perhaps not as spendy,
    leans toward slower investments
and longer plan for building home wealth (creating long goals of sustainability through developing gardening, fishing, hunting, etc).

Humble and obedient, yes… to God first. If we follow that rule, we will automatically become saints, and will then be able to help Our Lord build and sustain a Church worthier to be called His. This includes correcting the words and acts of powerful men within the Church who use their positions without humility and obedience to God. Examples can be found in Chicago, Washington DC - but most abundantly in Rome.

Turn to the Bible and read Romans 11:16-24.
St. Paul warns the Church of Rome that just because God founded the Church that does not mean God will not give up the Church.
God did not spare the Israelite priesthood (the original branch) and destroyed the Temple by allowing the Romans to sack it.
Why, because Israel grew in arrogance believing themselves to be the chosen nation of God due to ethnic nationalism, allowed the practice of pagan customs and introducing idols into the temple violating God's law, and the Israelite priesthood murdered Christ denying the Son being the promised Messiah.
Look right now what's happening in the Roman Catholic Church:
    - The Bishops are covering up the pederasty and sex abuse scandals by predatory priests.
    - The Vatican is allowing the practice of pagan rituals like, for example, pache mama performed in its domain as a gesture of interfaith dialog with people of pagan and occult religions that go against the spirit of Christianity.
    - Papa Francisco is welcoming LGBT to the parrishes, and he even expresses for a law to be promulgated to accept civil unions for LGBT.
    - Furthermore, Papa Francisco is urging governments across the world to ban the death penalty.
    That's nuts.
Just look what's happening in places in U.S.A. crime is getting out of control and murders are becoming unsustainable.
Where's the mercy for the victim and justice against the wicked?
The Bible is very clear, God gave up on the Israelite priesthood and destroyed the temple because Israel drowned in hubris and sin.
The Roman Catholic Church is not exempt either from not being spared by God.
Many Catholics have this mindset that just because Christ said, "On this rock I shall built my Church upon and the gates of hell won't prevail", they arrogantly believe that no matter how corrupt the RC Church becomes, God won't give up on the RC Church and it's holiness will be eventually restored back.
No, God is going to abandon the Church of Rome and will destroy the Vatican, if the RC Church papacy and priesthood persist in their hubris, lies, and lawlessness.
In fact, read history and google the Sack of the Vatican of 1527 that was God's first warning to the Church of Rome.

WARNING TO THE CATHOLICS FROM GOD:
THOSE WHO MENTION MARY’S NAME IN THEIR PRAYERS ANGER AND DISGUST GOD, AND WILL NOT ENTER HIS KINGDOM. MARY WAS A HANDMAID OF THE LORD (LUKE 1:38) AND GOD IS HER SAVIOR (LUKE 1:47). THE LORD HIMSELF TOLD ME TO WARN THE PEOPLE BECAUSE SO MANY ARE LOST; INSTEAD OF READING HIS WORD, THEY LEAN ON THEIR OWN BELIEFS (PROVERBS 3:5-6) AND WILL END UP IN HELL. NEITHER GOD NOR JESUS HAVE RESPECT OF PERSONS. THIS IS WHY JESUS CALLS MARY “WOMAN,” AS HE DID WITH ALL WOMEN. MARY ONLY DID WHAT GOD COMMANDED OF HER, AS ANY BELIEVER SHOULD DO. GOD HAS COMMANDED JESUS TO BE THE SOLE INTERCESSOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN, AND NOWHERE IN SCRIPTURE IS ANOTHER FOUND (1 TIMOTHY 2:5, JOHN 14:6). JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE TO OVERCOME DEATH AND THE SINS OF THE WORLD, NOT MARY. REPENT, OR ALL WILL BE LOST, SAYS THE LORD.
