  • Star Wars Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster 3D Print & Build | STAR WARS BLASTER used by STORMTROOPERS
Hello Everyone! Continuing to add the ever-growing Star Wars collection here at Haas of Props our newest project is this E-11 Stormtrooper Blaster. This particular version is the one used in the original film "Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope", as the movies progressed the design was changed slightly. The overall structure remained the same, but the greebles were adapted and vary per film.
This amazing file created by SPILLER_PAULO and contains so many detail pieces! It features moveable parts which allow the blaster to "unfold" and create a shoulder stock like a rifle. Here is the link to the file: www.thingiverse.com/thing:246...
I hope you enjoy making this blaster as much as I did, and let me know in the comments below what you think or if you have any questions! Be sure to tag me so I can see your amazing creations.

Awesome job! I always love the way you can bring the props to life with a paint job. You create a story and a history!

Thank you! I always want a prop on my shelf to have it's own story and not look like it is fresh off the assembly line. That is why I put so much effort into the paint job!

Your the man. Yes, I’m writing comments as I watch this amazing work come to life right in-front of me. I love watching your videos and props you build. I know I say this every video, your painting and skills are out of this world. You have made my confidence in 3d printing building sky rocket as well. I’m not at your level. But one day I might be.

Do you know where I can get the instructions for this?

I had difficulty finding good instructions, but I ended up using the pdf in this kit to help with assembly: www.printables.com/model/207682-e-11-blaster-by-mh319-remixed-with-instructions-ar/files
It isn't exactly the same, but it did help me assemble the blaster pieces from the Thingiverse kit. I hope this helps!

Hey I've been thinking about getting a 3d printer for myself. Is it hard to set up? I wanna do this as a hobby and decorate my mancave. I don't have time to be making stuff like this for anyone lol. Plus I recently joined the 501st and I'd love to have my own gear that I made.

It depends on the printer. I use an Ender 3 Pro, and I can't speak for all Ender products, but mine came in pieces and I had to assemble it. But, there are many others that come pretty much ready to go. You may still need to attach the print head and fill the machine with filament (those are pretty quick).

My suggestion would be to look for a printer that has a self-leveling bed. This will save you a lot of time and a lot of headaches.
Another thing to check is the printer's printable area. Because if it is small, and you want to print something large as armor, you will have to split the objects into smaller pieces and will need to be reassembled which will take a lot of extra time.
I hope this info helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask:)

@@haasofprops you answered a lot for me. But after that is it easy to program?

    • @haasofprops
      @haasofprops  ปีที่แล้ว

@@SuperBoyd Most printers that I have worked with have a software that comes with them or is easy to download. .stl files are the standard for many printers, but not all can use .obj files.
Usually all you need to do is load the file into the program, adjust the settings (infill, shell, etc.) and then print.
Some printers hook directly up to your computer, others can print through a wireless setup, and some print from micoSD cards.
The best thing about 3d printing is you can get it printing, and then walk away. (However, I like to check in just to make sure nothing funky is happening).
