They built these in France in the late 50s early 60s. They were called 892. The 8 denotes French manufacturing. 7 was added when built in Scotland. My friend has an 892. They are very rare in the uk. Sold here while the factory changed from 780 to 400, 500. Everyone who uses the 892 really likes it.

They changed to Massey Ferguson about 1960, My Dad owned and ran 3 new Massey Harris 92 combines. I like running them.
I still use mine every year... I am going to start looking for a Massey Harris self propelled corn picker ...
The engine between the wheels lowered the center of gravity, making it a much less tippy machine when the hopper was full.
